Hi all

I’ve commented on a few threads but thought I would start a new one for anyone who may have ovulated over the weekend and now starting the TWW? Officially 1DPO today.

This is our first cycle trying to conceive #1. I came off the pill a few weeks ago, had my normal withdrawl bleed. Had flashing smileys last week with the static appearing on Saturday. I will assume I ovulated yesterday as I had a fair few cramps.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I’ll be sticking around too although my timings are a bit out now!

CD9 and starting BD’ing last night.

Its feels more ‘real’ this month for some reason and I had a massive wobble this morning as to whether we even want a child.

Thats normal right? The whole thing feels so unknown and terrifying

I’m still here!

We werent going to try this cycle but though -yolo. If I’m sick while we’re on holiday, I’ll deal with it if it means we aren’t skipping a cycle. Would also prefer a November baby over December - is that stupid?

I’ve tried joining a few new threads but somehow find myself coming back to this thread, mainly because it’s the first I’ve ever gotten the courage to write into and also I feel like we’re all syncing round the same dates/times so going forward I don’t feel alone.

Currently CD16 and using ovulation tests daily, still don’t think I’ve had as dark OPK as last month - the dye has yet to be darker than the control line but has steadily got darker the last 2 days in general. I weirdly feel really really relaxed this month, We are both taking the usual daily vitamins and we’re using Preseed for BD’ing but I don’t find myself worrying or counting days until I can test/pre calculating possible due dates. Though I’m also not in the TWW yet so my relaxed vibes will probably disappear at that stage 😂

Also, has anybody ever had really uncomfortable ovulation? I’ve always thought I had bad wind pains/lower abdomen pains (sorry TMI) but from tracking ovulation I’ve realised I think this is my body saying ovulation is happening.

I had the same thoughts as @Mushroo last month about wanting a baby but I know it’s because of the difficulty in handling the TTC journey that had me thinking like this than the not wanting a baby thought.

@GingerJanee welcome back! 😁 I’m also feeling more relaxed but similarly, not in the dreaded TWW yet!

I can usually tell fairly accurately when I ovulate, for me it’s not painful, but I just ‘know’ based on how I’m feeling and CM. I’ve definitely heard it can be painful though so I don’t think you’re alone in that.

Yeh, TTC is draining. I think once (if) I get pregnant I’ll be able to relax and get excited. At the moment, the not pregnant but trying to be is killing me. Im kind of floating about not living a family life but also not living my child free life to full effect.

I want to either be pregnant, or book lots of long haul holidays to zika destinations. I just want something to happen!

Of course.... So I have 1 child conceived naturally when I was 16. I met my wife when first child was 4 and have been together for 14 years, married 10 years. We have 2 donor conceived children, this will be our 3rd together 🙂 same donor used each time

I always feel ovulation pains for 1 or 2 days ... I'm pretty sure I ovulated Saturday or latest Sunday. I had some pains Fri evening and most of the day Saturday. So I'm possibly 2 days past ovulation.. AF due 12th march.

@LittleMiss2023 - I am with you on not quite wanting a December baby. My husband and I usually spend the holidays apart with our own families and I feel like a birthday could throw a wrench into these plans that work so well for us!

I'm pregnant now with an October baby so hopefully it is not going to be a thing on our relationship, but yes, I also have a preference around it!

I feel the same, trying to live the carefree life but also conscious to make healthy decisions when ttc!

We’ve our honeymoon in April and a wedding abroad in May so this month wouldn’t be ideal for a pregnancy but I also don’t want to miss a cycle and I’m a firm believer there’s never an ideal time for a baby! You can’t pick and choose the events when the baby arrives so trying to think along the lines whatever will be, will be. I sound so positive and really I’m a complete worrier once the TWW starts 😂

@LittleMiss2023 and @EMcG3 im with you both on the December baby issue, it’s a busy month and based on my cycles I know I’d be due around Christmas 22/23rd - hate that any babies birthdays would coincide with Christmas and I don’t think it would be that relaxing possibly going over etc.

Hey girls!

I hope you're all well. So I need some line eyes. This is just a cheap hcg test that came with my OPKs and I thought let's try. I'm CD22 and I thought I hadn't ovulated and if I did it was early around CD10/11 because I hadn't had a peak. This is FMU.

We tried to keep DTD every other day, but I wasn't testing OPK until CD11 which is when I saw a 0.5 LH reading and thought I might ovulated early. DTD on CD11 and CD12 and before that was CD9 and CD6. I tried to upload a screenshot of my tracking app but it isn't working.

Im 7DPO today and the urge to test is real. But I want to be strong and wait until at least 10DPO!

I think I'm 11DPO so I'm actually surprised it's come up on the CB. I did a how many weeks one too and that said 1-2.

What I should also add is this month I had some 'alone time' on the days we didn't have sex. I don't know if that was a contributing factor but I don't think I did that at all last month 🤣

That’s so reassuring as every other day is our approach this month.

Cycle seems ok, due to ovulate in the next couple of days (hopefully…)

yes definitely just keep going every other day straight after your period. It's done the trick this time!

im cycle day 24 of 28/29 day cycle. I done the test just now, not first morning Urine but it's definitely positive 😍
