We only managed to try once last month as we took turns being really ill, so committed to give it a good go this month!

Can I join in? I came off the pill 2 weeks ago, and after a week of Clearblue ovulation tests (all blank circles), I got a flashing smiley today! (I did have a static smiley a week and a bit ago, but I think that was down to changing hormones from coming off the pill.)

So this will be Cycle 1 for me. Fingers crossed, because if not this month, we’ll wait until April to try again due to an international holiday I don’t want to be in the ‘very early stages’ of pregnancy.

So now after the flashing smiley, trying to figure out when is best to DTD as I’m not sure when ovulation day will actually be!

I'm due AF between 6-8th. In cycle #2 for our 1st after a break. Think I might be ovulating today!

@LittleMiss2023 I use a different way of monitoring ovulation but when I get what I think is the equivalent of the flashing smiley it is our cue to DTD for 3 days straight!

If you don’t mind me asking, how long were you trying before you took a break? Hopefully this cycle will be your month!!

@LittleMiss2023 we started trying in 2021 but this is technically our 8th cycle as unfortunately we've had multiple miscarriages which has delayed things. After our last one in June, we had a bunch of tests done which all came back clear, so we're hoping it has just been bad luck up to this point. We are also a bit older, I'm 35 and DH is 36.

Hope this hasn't worried you since it sounds like you're just starting your journey? We're 1 in 100, ttc is more likely to go right that it is to go wrong!

Think it's 1dpo for me today, into the tww! Luckily my husbands family are coming to visit from Saturday for a week so I'll have some distractions!

I’m on day 3 of flashing smileys for me - so my body might take a bit longer until it’s ovulation day!

@LittleMiss2023 feeling good thanks, we only managed to DTD two days in a row but I think it was on the crucial days so fingers crossed!

I said to DH we’ll try this month, but if not successful we will wait until April. We’re going to the States for 4 weeks, so from what I see, most people have morning sickness from about 6-12 weeks. So if we miraculously conceive in the next few days I will be about 12 weeks when we go, otherwise I do not want to be feeling rough on the holiday. Saying that, one girlfriend was in bed until about 16 weeks and another had. I morning sickness, so I guess you never know!

Hopefully these next two weeks don’t drag for you!

How are you all getting on?

I'm pretty sure I'm just starting my fertile window as I've got the usual aches but my CM only changed tonight.

I promised myself that I wouldnt be planning, scheduling and tracking etc too much. DP and I are sort of putting ourselves in mother nature's hands, binned the contraception and what happens, happens. We have children already but something (mainly me lol) is saying we just aren't done yet...so it's over to fate now.

(I say it's over to fate but we are 100% DTD more this month 😂)

Is it weird that I’m excited for my CM to change?! Will be my first ovulation in years, and before the pill I had no intention of conceiving so was oblivious to ovulation!
I’m still on flashy smileys on my opk, so waiting for peak day and CM to change!

how are you feeling?

AF is due for me on the 8th, I'm cd17 of a 31 day cycle although haven't noticed any lovely ewcm but I usually ovulate cd18 with cm from cd14-18.

I'm not sure if I'm ovulating late or my cm is a bit scarce this month. I usually have plenty of it so this is different. I've been taking proceive for the last couple of months and it's changed my cycle- I got a lot of spotting last cycle which I got overly excited about thinking that it was implantation bleeding, but bfn, then AF arrived. I've just ordered some methylfolate and I think I might just take that and vitamin d next cycle.

Fingers crossed for plenty of bfps in the next 2 weeks!

@Pitstop1986 the possible pregnancy symptoms are horrible aren't they? I was a week late last month with nausea and tiredness, and one positive (out of a lot of tests) but turns up I had a tummy bug and a dodgy test.

I got some cheap ovulation tests today (so much for letting fate run this show...) and I have a line in the test window but it's not as strong as control yet but I'm definitely ramping up for ovulation, lots of little pings of pain which is usual for me. CM isn't as bad as it usually is tho, hard to tell really.

If I don't fall this month I'm out for the next 4 or 5. Lots of travel and events later in the year that I cant be / don't want to be in late stage pregnancy for.

We're good to keep trying throughout the year, although DH doesn't want a July/August baby, so might have a break in November

Hey ladies!! A bit TMI, but I think my CM has finally showed signs of ‘EWCM’, so wish me luck for the next couple of days! Need to DTD tonight or tomorrow morning, as we are then going and staying with some friends for a few days! 🙈Hopefully DTD only once or twice will be enough!

@LittleMiss2023 it only takes once! So fingers crossed for you. I believe all the swimmers can survive up to 5 days so can hang around waiting on the egg.

DTD the last couple of days but likely won't be able to for next few as DP is working late and/or away for the later part of the week. I may need to take a afternoon nap and just stay awake for the nights he is home haha.

I'm on CD15 now, finally got some tests to pee on and I'm showing up pretty fertile. Sure I'll ovulate in 24 hours or so.

Feeling pretty rubbish and emotional which isn't like me at this time of my cycle. Maybe I'm just hoping a little too much.

@OnNaturesCourse I think my CM may have been a one off - not noticed any since and I’m on day 5 of flashing smileys on my CB digital. So don’t think I’ve ovulated yet! Who knows what’s going on after stopping the pill!

I'm good thanks. 4 or 5 dpo for me today and already symptom spotting! No matter how hard I try to remind myself that it is virtually impossible to have symptom this early, I still seem to go a bit crazy with it!

@OnNaturesCourse glad you think your ovulation is close, are you going to try and sneak that BD in?!

@LittleMiss2023 if you DTD in the 5 day window before ovulation you are still in with a chance! I also had what seemed to be EWCM a few days before ovulation this cycle, then not much sign if it when my monitor said I should be ovulating.

@cocoforbes going to try but DP not long home from work and fell asleep almost instantly 🙄🥺 last time we managed was 4 days ago. I'm proper gutted and slightly annoyed at him - ridiculously emotional just now which is weird for me.

I haven't had any ewcm yet... not that I've noticed anyway! I'm cd 20 so I think maybe this month I either didn't ovulate or I just didn't make that much cm...

We're going to dtd one last time tonight/in the morning as an insurance bonk just incase I have/will ovulate a little later this month, then I think DH needs a few days break. Poor soul is exhausted!

Hi all, joining the thread as currently in my fertile window. This is our 4th cycle TTC for #1. Had a weird cycle last time in that I had a period then 7 days later came back on (think it was anovulation). Anyway this is the first cycle where my OPKs are starting to actually show a second line so feeling a bit more hopeful and can definitely tell I’m close to ovulation with twinges and CM changing. Fingers crossed for us all x
