@calimc83 I am also booking in for an elective c section. As awful awful first birth with lots of injuries. I was a car wreck after. So medically they’ve said this is safest but I do keep going over my decision. Anyone had a c section before? Let me know how you get on. I am so anxious about it! How long left now?

@TheBirdintheCave we did manage to dtd 💪🏼 I basically pounced as soon as we got here 🤣 I didn't want to have too much drink and then be too drunk

@LuckyMoonstone well breakfast has sorted me out headache gone but still feeling a little blurgh. It's been a long time since I've felt rough after drinking and now I remember I don't like it 😂

@Indianna2006 so far this has been my favourite city to visit it's so quaint

Opk is on the rise and so is ewcm I reckon peak will be tonight or maybe early hours. I don't know why but I feel so hopeful for this cycle which is just probably setting myself up for disappointment 🤦🏼‍♀️ maybe it's because im in a good mood

@Indianna2006 I had a c section, emergency not elective but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Recovery process was probably helped by the fact that I was in hospital for 3 days afterwards so basically an excuse to stay in bed but that wasn't because there was anything wrong with me, it was DS who was poorly

@LuckyMoonstone okay that’s good to know. I mean my vaginal delivery was such a car wreck. I couldn’t hardly move or walk or sit anyway 🤣 so how much worse can it be. But still feels scary making that decision.

hoping it will be calmer as it’s planned. Mine was very chaotic. I didn’t get to hold DD or meet her. Or anything. Makes me bit sad. I want this time to be different. And share in that moment etc with DH.

any tips send them my way! I imagine I’d be chucked out after 24 hours then have a 4 year old clambering all over me so not so restful 🤣🙈

@Indianna2006 I think if everything goes to plan then they do chuck you out as soon as possible with a load of painkillers 😂 also try not to laugh for a few days afterwards, it's bloody painful 😅 and if you haven't already, get a V pillow or body pillow as you'll be very restricted as to how you can lie down comfortably and it helps to be as supported as possible

@MrsJGrealish you are brave! I didn't want DH anywhere near me when I was in labour (mainly as I was puking my guts up!)

@Indianna2006 me! Mine was because I wouldn't dilate past 8cm so whilst it wasn't emergency as such, I had no other option. The idea of it is much worse than the reality. You don't feel much apart from tugging and I found the recovery fine. Prunes are your friend though. I was SO constipated that it was weeks before I could 'go' and nobody told me that this is quite common after a c-section. The first few days are a bit achy to sit up but otherwise, was no major problem. Was surprised given it's pretty major surgery! Would be opting for a c-section again in a heartbeat.

@TheBirdintheCave help! When I make a post its asking me do I want to do it anonymously? Do I? Don't want my mum knowing what I'm going tell you happened last night 😂

@bunnykins123 oh the puking was a wonderful side effect I didn't know happened 😂 I felt awful for all the other ladies in my ward I was induced and having very close together contractions I was on my own when I went for induction but the next day the next bunch came in to be induced and I was puking behind my curtain just as they were being served lunch 🙈 when they wheeled me out to the delivery room in a quick blur it was packed with people I was mortified
