Apparently 6dpo here and getting a bit of creamy CM. Not sure if that means anything as way too early. Bloody hate the TWW and constant hyper vigilance for any symptoms 😖

@pangolin84 Ah yeah you're in the hardest bit of it now. I'm always ok until 6dpo then I start losing my mind 😂

Quick question to the gang - I expect to ovulate tomorrow. What should I expect when it comes to BBT?

I've been temping from CD 1 and never have done any tempting before so it's all a bit new on that front!

Any advice welcome

@monsteramunch There should be a temp dip on ovulation day and the following day there should be a rise :)

I got a dip this morning so I guess O is today for me. I wish we'd dtd last night now 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

@TheBirdintheCave could you squeeze a quickie in this morning? 🫣 you may not have released the eggie yet!

@monsteramunch it differs for most people but for me, I get a temp dip on O day so that's a big hint. Saying that, I've had days where I've not had a dip so sometimes it doesn't always follow a pattern. I also find that I don't get a proper temp shift until about 3 days after O - god knows why!

Still feel like there's so much to learn when it comes to TTC!

Here's my chart so far - I had static smiley digital yesterday (CD14) morning and positive strip yesterday evening.

Thinking based on that, if we DTD this afternoon / tonight hopefully we've given it our best shot.

I think I ovulate a day after positive OPKs usually, so I guess maybe temp will dip tomorrow morning if the OPKs were accurate?

And what is the orange line all about?! This is on the Premom app.

@monsteramunch the red line is your OPKs - it tracks the level of each of them to show when you get your peak. Looking at your temps, you haven't O'd yet so you might see something happen tomorrow with respect to that. Defo have a crack at it today, it looks like you haven't O'd yet. Good luck!

@bunnykins123 Unfortunately not, our mornings are timed with military precision. The soonest we'll be able to dtd is 7.30 tonight which will likely be too late but we'll still give it a go 😅 Hopefully there are still swimmers up there from the other night.

@monsteramunch I agree with Bunny that is hasn't happened for you yet so keep going with dtd :D

Thanks so much I really appreciate all the advice. These are my OPKs so I think they show a peak yesterday morning, then if temp drops tomorrow morning it will mean that I ovulate 1.5 days / 2 days after a peak test, this month at least?

Really helpful to have the temping now, hopefully it will help us as it adds an extra day on to the date we've been thinking I ovulate.

@monsteramunch It's really cool isn't it? I had never really considered temping before but it's great to be able to confirm that my O pains are genuine by seeing the temp fall then rise.

@TheBirdintheCave it really is! I'm amazed how little we learn about our bodies and reproductive health at school. I have a degree, have always been a curious bookworm who loves learning... yet the science of the TTC process has been so confusing for me. Maybe that's why I didn't choose a science degree!

If we need to go down the IVF route I'm actually a bit panicky I won't understand it! When I see people talking about it on MN it's like another language 😬

@monsteramunch It's not as complicated as it looks :) From what I remember from the first time round they give you loads of things to read about what's going to happen and what medication you'll be taking etc so it's really straightforward and everything happens in a step by step manner. We got as far as being approved for funding and waiting for our first cycle day but then got pregnant so it will be interesting to actually go through with it this time :)

My husband is picking up a 25miu test today so I can (hopefully) get a negative. When's best to take it? Should I wait until tomorrow morning?

Ladies wish me luck I think this cycle might be doomed from the start. DH just tested positive for covid and is sick just in time for fertile week. Lady in the office that breathed all over me yesterday tested positive today too. I seem to catch covid like a common cold and then have problems in pregnancy 🙄

@TheBirdintheCave I would do the test in the morning 🤞🏼 for a negative

@bringmearainbow oh no 😩 would you still consider DTD if you ovulated and both felt ok-ish?

@LuckyMoonstone yes I'm hoping he's still going to be up for some BD 😂 I feel fine just praying I don't catch it. Was hoping we could DTD tonight but I'll have to see how he's feeling later 😩 I don't want to miss a cycle on a "what if" we might not fall anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

@bringmearainbow Nooooo so sorry you've caught it :(

I did the test on a 2.5 hour hold in the end and unfortunately there's a (albeit extremely faint) line there 🤦🏻‍♀️ So I guess my HCG is exactly 25? Test is blue dye though as it was all husband could get that was 25miu and I know they do tend to have faint lines a lot of the time, so maybe it's that? Augh, wish I hadn't bothered now.

@TheBirdintheCave luckily I haven't caught it but DH has 🙄 it's prob only a matter of time before I get it 😩

Oh no I think if it came up in the timeframe you probably do still have a little left ☹️ but doesn't mean you won't ovulate

Attached a pic of the test. It's dried darker but this was taken within the time frame. I'm pretty sure I have O'd but won't be able to confirm until I see what my temp is tomorrow and then I guess luckily I have that scan on Monday so I'll know 100%.

I'm really disappointed as I'd convinced myself there couldn't possibly be any left over 🙄
