@monsteramunch
Sorry regarding temping, it's useful to know that ovulation has actually happened.
So your temp will be low, some people have a dip before ovulation, then it raises after ovulation. As a 'trend' it can then stay high if you're pregnant or dip down again before your period. So in short...OPKs predict ovulation, temping confirms it's happened. Xx

MrsJGrealish · 14/01/2023 20:34

@LuckyMoonstone how are you feeling today? Xx

LuckyMoonstone · 14/01/2023 20:38

@MrsJGrealish I’m alright thank you for asking! Boobs still really hurt, I felt a bit sick this morning but not as much as I did in the week. But I’m sure it’ll come and go. Test lines have been as dark as the control line the last couple of days 👍 so it’s Saturday night, I’m not at the party and I am not having a drink! Still feel like I can’t relax properly and think ‘I actually am pregnant’ until the next scan

MrsJGrealish · 14/01/2023 21:02

@LuckyMoonstone I know 😕 roll on 8 days 🙏

bunnykins123 · 14/01/2023 22:23

@monsteramunch I'm sorry to hear your struggling, the ttc journey can be mentally so challenging. I think @FfayeN has made some really good suggestions. As this is your first, you could start the ball rolling on the NHS for ivf / fertility. I think being proactive with investigations is ultimately the next step - things that you may want to also consider is having a hysteroscopy done (camera into your uterus to check for fibroids etc), a HSG which checks to see if your tubes are open, blood clotting panel and immunology tests (NK cells). I do know the NHS offers some of these tests but it can take a while for them to be done. If you're impatient like me, I did all privately (apart from immunology which was done via nhs). I've had the lot tested so happy to answer any questions if you have any!

@bringmearainbow I'm glad you've been keeping busy to pass the time! I always like the bit once AF leaves before having to DTD 🤣

@monsteramunch it sounds like you're doing loads of great stuff. I don't know the relevance of Day 3 tests, mine is just testing progesterone at day 21 aswell. It maybe worth just having a full blood count via your GP, to check Vit D, Vit B and thyroid levels, all of those can impact fertility and they should be accommodating.
I think if all your tests come back normal the advice is likely to be keep trying, or as it's been over a year you should get NHS cycles of IVF? If not then the decision could be to go private.
Depending on what of his results are not as they should be you may be advised to do IUI, IVF, ICSI, it will all depend what they come back as. It's hard to say as there's a couple of things that could be a challenge from that side. Do you have a consultation for when his results are back?
I wanted to try acupuncture, contacted the two in my town and they both ignored me 🙄. I have had fertility reflexology though and that was amazing! xx

Thanks so much, this is all really helpful. We've been told that we'll get his results and 'go from there' so not really sure what to expect. I think because I'm 36 things will be prioritised but even the priority list for anything is months and months now. Which is scary when it comes to fertility as I feel like every month I'm losing another rare opportunity.

Did you specifically look for a fertility related reflexologist?

I think you're right re making the focus being proactive. At least we will feel like we are doing what we can to have some control over things.

You don't have to share obviously but ballpark what sort of budget were each of the private consultations / procedures you mentioned?

I'm in a position to save some but it will take time and as mentioned I am so conscious that at 36 I have some time but not lots and each month is a precious opportunity gone.

So I think we would need to ask family for some help which I am sure they would be happy to give, but none of us are especially flush so it would need to be a focused spend if that makes sense.

My brother and his partner fell first time, three times and I'm really struggling with feeling incredibly jealous. I'm happy everything has gone well as she and the kids are lovely, but finding it hard as he has always been very cruel to me and we have very low contact - everything is through her (I've got no idea how he landed her, she's a great person).

It seems so easy for some people and I hate how childish it's making me that it's so hard for us.

FfayeN · 15/01/2023 16:15

@monsteramunch I was actually recommended to her via a friend, so I would look for any reflexologists in your area and then when you browse the website or make contact just check they have done the extra quals for fertility. (Mine says to have an appt leading up to ovulation to stimulate the ovaries) even if it doesn't work, it's a great way to relax and she has me falling asleep everytime! Xx

bunnykins123 · 15/01/2023 17:07

@monsteramunch I left it probably a bit too long as I had 3 consecutive miscarriages when we first started trying. So I thought it was bad luck / age and then after my 3rd I registered my losses at the GP and got referred to the NHS RMC. They did full blood panel, thyroid, hormonal, blood clotting and immunology - it took 8 months from start to finish to get results. This was obviously a huge advantage to me as it was free and looking online it would have cost in the region of 1.5k - 2k to get these done. I do know women who have had HCG done on the nhs alongside bloods. I'm not sure if hysteroscopy is covered. I didn't get those tests offered as I was falling pregnant but kept loosing them. If you tell the GP that you've been trying for a year, you will get those tests. So for me it probably cost in the range of 2k to have hysteroscopy, HCG, random bloods and sperm frag done. It's not been cheap that's why I defo encourage you to start the process with the nhs even if it's so you can get some of those tests part paid for. All came back normal for me apart from high NK cells which I now take medication for on the NHS. It's been a shitty journey frankly and the way you feel about others falling pregnant is completely valid. It doesn't mean you are any less happy for them but does make you question why your own personal journey has been so hard. Anyway know you're not alone, I found these forums so helpful when I felt so alone.

Tiny amounts of brown discharge yesterday and today. Thought fuck it and booked a holiday today. Line eyes?

LuckyMoonstone · 15/01/2023 18:54

@MrsJGrealish I can see a very obvious line in the first pic but I’m not 100% sure if it is pink or not

MrsJGrealish · 15/01/2023 18:58

@LuckyMoonstone this is it at 3 mins...I dunno either I'll try again tomorrow

POAS: bodies are weird and stupid 🤦🏼‍♀️
LuckyMoonstone · 15/01/2023 19:23

@MrsJGrealish I feel like it’s way too clear to be an indent/evap. Definitely try in the morning with FMU 🤞

bringmearainbow · 15/01/2023 19:30

@MrsJGrealish oooh yes I hope it progresses 🤞🏼 it looks much more like a proper line than the ones I had which must have been indents! What dpo are you now?

I'm CD6 and the bleeding doesn't look like it's stopping I'm so fed up of bleeding now 😩 14 days of bleeding in dec a 6 day break and now 6 more days of bleeding I feel like it's never ever going to end

OP posts:
MrsJGrealish · 15/01/2023 19:39

@bringmearainbow 12dpo today. I'm literally so constipated it's not even funny 😭 probably a chemical I think it should be darker. Also not a fan of brown discharge. But I'll do another tomorrow xx

TheBirdintheCave · 15/01/2023 19:55

@MrsJGrealish I see it! 😬😬

bringmearainbow · 15/01/2023 19:59

@MrsJGrealish I don't think it should be any darker for 12dpo and not FMU I take it?

OP posts:
FfayeN · 15/01/2023 20:03

@MrsJGrealish I see it too 🥰. The constipation is always one of my symptoms too! Do you only have FRERs? I have to say the IC for me are way clearer maybe as the line is fatter?! Was this FMU or this afternoon? Tentative congrats, you deserve this 😘 xxx

@bringmearainbow ah so annoying! Is it showing any signs of stopping? Xx

bunnykins123 · 15/01/2023 20:24

@MrsJGrealish omggg I see it!! Got everything crossed for you - test again tomorrow with fmu 🤞🤞

@bringmearainbow urgh I'm sorry AF is dragging on. It's probably just a hormonal thing that will settle down over the next few cycles. Doesn't make it any less annoying though!

Indianna2006 · 15/01/2023 20:29

@MrsJGrealish I deffo see it lovely!! And didn’t even need to squint tbh. Looks a fair obvious line. It does look greyish in pics. But I think they always looks more grey in photos than in real life anyway. Does it have a pink tinge?

Deffo don’t think it should be darker for 12dpo. Think one my pregnancies the frer on 13dpo was faintish. But obvious. But faint. If that makes sense. Similiar to yours. But in real life it had pink but was harder to capture.

eeee try again in morning 🤞🏼

MrsJGrealish · 15/01/2023 20:30

@FfayeN no just took a notion before eating dinner. I nearly cried putting the roast out 🤢 thought what I really want is after eights😅. I do have other tests. X

@LuckyMoonstone
@bringmearainbow @TheBirdintheCave thank you xx the brown discharge is making me uneasy nothing good ever happens with that in my experience. Just a wait and see game now 🤷‍♀️

MrsJGrealish · 15/01/2023 20:33

@Indianna2006 yep defo pale pink but the photo really does look grey.

@Indianna2006 @bunnykins123 thanks girls will update tomorrow xx

Indianna2006 · 15/01/2023 20:40

@MrsJGrealish yeh I can almost see how obvious the line is that I bet it has a pink tinge in real life. It seems too obvious.
oh god hope this is it hun. I really do 🤞🏼😘
Awaiting with bated breath.

@bringmearainbow Eugh sorry AF is ongoing for the long slog. My first one post mc was bad and heavy. Went on and on. But felt it was good to get it out system. 👏

@monsteramunch sorry you are having a hard time. It is very difficult to see others around you falling pregnant easily and constant Facebook announcements. It seems like it’s easy for everyone. But in reality it isn’t often.
It becomes less prevalent once you get over that finish line of getting pregnant. But it’s the constant what if I know is so hard to bare 😘
