@MrsJGrealish haha no I know that’s why I gave you the little anecdote about my 12dpo negative too.

MrsJGrealish · 12/01/2023 14:04

@LuckyMoonstone 😘

bunnykins123 · 12/01/2023 14:27

So just to give you all an update, I had my 7 week scan today (sorry I didn't tell anyone in advance, I was convinced it was going to be bad news so was massively preparing for that). Not only was there a heartbeat but I'm measuring 4 days ahead so nearly 8 weeks now. I'm shocked. I guess in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't change much at this stage but it's nice to know everything is on track (for now!)

bringmearainbow · 12/01/2023 14:28

@MrsJGrealish my earliest positive was 8dpo last time but the previous 2 were 11dpo soooo plenty of time if it's negative

@bunnykins123 fab news 😊

TheBirdintheCave · 12/01/2023 14:40

@bunnykins123 That's amazing news :D And brilliant that you get to shave a few days off too. You'll be a 'graduate' of this thread in no time ;)

Indianna2006 · 12/01/2023 14:43

@bunnykins123 fab news hun 😍😍😍

@LuckyMoonstone okay can totally see how it won’t ease you worrying at all.
but they’ve seen a pregnancy sac in the correct place. Which is a big plus. So it’s not an unknown location like last time. Like you said unlikely they would see anything other than a sac at dead on 5 weeks anyway. So you’ve been given all the reassurance you can for your dates and where you are.

Do not google blighted ovum anymore!!! And also try to put that out of your head until you go in 10 days. There is nothing to suggest it is that as what you’ve seen today is totally normal.

A blighted ovum also does act like a current pregnancy an tests would continue to get strong. As I had a blighted ovum discovered at 13 weeks and had a very normal sicky first trimester with every symptom going.
but just seeing a sac at 5 weeks is normal. There is no reason for it to be that over a perfectly healthy pregnancy where you just can’t see it yet. It also doesn’t happen as often as normal mmc.

try to breathe. What they’ve seen is POSITIVE. They saw a sac. That’s good. I know your brain will do the opposite tho.

Roll on 10 days time. And hopefully you will see a little bab with a tiny heart beat potentially 😘

@bunnykins123

Lovely news FlowersFlowersFlowers

LuckyMoonstone · 12/01/2023 14:47

@Indianna2006 thank you so much for reassuring me. The thing is, if I hadn’t had the initial week of bleeding I would be totally fine about not seeing anything at 5 weeks and would accept that it was normal. But I’m so scared that the bleeding was the embryo coming out and now all I’m left with is the sac 😣
Although she did say that she could see the area next to the sac where the bleed had come from… so surely if it had been a blighted ovum there wouldn’t be anything like that, especially outside the sac?

MrsJGrealish · 12/01/2023 14:49

@bunnykins123 aww congratulations ❤️ so pleased for you xx 😚

Indianna2006 · 12/01/2023 14:53

@LuckyMoonstone no there wouldn’t. Honestly I think she’s located why you were bleeding and like you said something similair you did experience with DS in terms of that you had the haematoma.

No honestly hun from my exp of having a blighted ovum and a normal mmc. The embryo wouldn’t just disappear that fast. A embryo can’t bleed and come out and the sac remain intact as the embryo is safe in the sac. The bleeding would be lining etc. if that makes sense? Or the sac breaking down first.
An embryo can get smaller and be absorbed by the sac almost slowly over time. But your only 5 weeks. So that is not what’s happening here. I am almost certain it’s just too early for them to see it. 😘😘

TRY not overthink it. But yes 10 days of torture to wait. Xx

bunnykins123 · 12/01/2023 14:57

Thanks everyone 💕

@LuckyMoonstone I totally agree with @Indianna2006. My friend who is now 18 weeks had a bleed at 5 weeks and the scan showed bleeding next to the baby where it had implanted so there is a very real possibility that it could be implantation bleeding. I also think Googling doesn't help as you will always find the bad stuff rather than the good. Personally, from what you've said, it all sounds really positive but I understand your fears. Has the bleeding stopped now?

@TheBirdintheCave nooo way! I'm not going anywhere plus I absolutely hate the pregnancy forums!!

TheBirdintheCave · 12/01/2023 15:05

@bunnykins123 Oh I know :) 'Graduating' from this thread just means getting past the twelve week scan 😂

LuckyMoonstone · 12/01/2023 15:07

@Indianna2006 thank you so much I feel a bit better, and you too @bunnykins123

LuckyMoonstone · 12/01/2023 15:08

@bunnykins123 yes stopped now, I had a tiny bit of dark browny red this morning after I went to the loo but it was mainly mixed with cm. Apart from that, the last instance was yesterday early afternoon and again that was pink and mixed with cm

bunnykins123 · 12/01/2023 17:00

@LuckyMoonstone that's also really good news, sounds like the bleeding is coming to a finish now. Try not to worry, I know it's easier said than done but really to me it sounds like everything is going exactly as they should!

LuckyMoonstone · 12/01/2023 17:13

@bunnykins123 thank you xx I do feel less worried

MrsJGrealish · 12/01/2023 19:36

Why are all parts of ttc crap? I psyched myself up to do another cheapie and flooded the damn thing 😭 I wish I could put it outta my head for at least a second. So work tomorrow then another go.. or I could do a hold for 3 hours but that's half 10 and I'm so tired 😪 sorry girls needed a vent xx

bunnykins123 · 12/01/2023 19:54

@MrsJGrealish oh god I've done that before. Did the test not work at all? Hmm depends on how you feel about holding until 11pm? I'd say go for it if you think you can make it till then! TTC sucks, I think we all share the same view with you on that!

MrsJGrealish · 12/01/2023 20:14

@bunnykins123 thank you for reading!! Yea it worked a bit. The grey line appeared quicker 🙄 whilst pink ran up the edges..scared to do an actual proper test atm...will consider at the weekend 😘

LuckyMoonstone · 12/01/2023 20:48

@MrsJGrealish argh I’ve done that before too, so annoying! Can you do one first thing in the morning instead of tonight?

FfayeN · 12/01/2023 20:49

@LuckyMoonstone absolutely brilliant and positive news! I echo everything @Indianna2006 says, she is a master of reassurance and kind words. Please try not to worry it seems all you've experienced has an explanation 😘

@bunnykins123 awwww I'm so happy for you! You sneaky fox keeping that a secret, I get why though for sure 🥰. I'm chuffed for you that it's all going well x

@MrsJGrealish Gargh! Why do they do that! I've had OPKs flood before it's a pain in the arse! Before you know it it will be Saturday morning and perhaps you can test then if you're feeling up to it x

@theblueflowers I'm sorry your temps are throwing you off. I have no advice sorry, once AF comes I stop temping as I then get a week where I don't have to worry about waking at a certain time etc. perhaps just take a few days off it to have a break? I understand if you want to keep going though for the routine x

Sorry if I've missed any other updates, manic few days at work. Managed to book my biopsy for Monday and hopefully will be back in time for my GPs appointment aswell 🤞🏼 xx

MrsJGrealish · 12/01/2023 20:56

@LuckyMoonstone actually might use the clear blue tomorrow morning. It's one of those early detection line ones. I won't be pissed off wasting it if I'm testing too early or in vain 😅

MrsJGrealish · 12/01/2023 21:09

Well maybe. Need a magnifying glass for one steps. Will update anyway xx
