I just realised today should have been the day of my rescheduled booking in appointment if everything had been ok at the last scan :(

I’m back from the hospital! Still not 100% sure what the deal is 😅 they could see a gestational sac, normal size, and she said my endometrium was really thick & bright on the scan so that’s a good thing. Couldn’t see a yolk sac, but they think I’m too early. She said that it’s very normal not to see anything if im only 5 weeks (by my calculations I am only just 5 weeks, if im more then only by like one day). So I’ve got to go back in 10 days which is torture 😭
She could also see the bleed in my uterus above the sac, it’s quite small now obviously, she didn’t say what it could be, but im thinking subchrionic hematoma? And maybe instead of hanging around like the one with DS did, it bled out straight away, like as soon as it formed?
The empty sac has made me worried about a blighted ovum. But if the embryo had already gone, surely I wouldn’t be getting stronger tests and symptoms? They’d be getting lighter or staying stagnant?

@monsteramunch It's ok, it's funny how things just get you all of a sudden. The last appointment we should have had was the scan on the 26th so once that's over it's all done with.

@LuckyMoonstone That all sounds really positive! I think a sac is definitely all they expect to see at five weeks. I'm glad they could tell you why you were bleeding and that it looks small. It does sound like a subchronic haematoma. Fingers crossed that's it for the bleeding now and it just heals up :)

@LuckyMoonstone oooh that all sounds so promising! I think what you've seen at 5 weeks is very normal so try not to worry too much. The 10 days will be a long slog but you've got us lot to get you through it 💪🏼

Augh, there's yet another one on the miscarriage thread who just pops in just to tell us all that she had a miscarriage and now she's pregnant again in no time at all. Like... no... you need to earn your replies, I'm not going to congratulate someone who's just turned up to rub it in our faces and will then disappear again 🙄

@LuckyMoonstone omg that sounds so positive! I think it's relatively well known that at 5 weeks, not much shows up on the screen so I really wouldn't overthink it. Try and think of it as one hurdle achieved!

@TheBirdintheCave hitting those milestones is so hard 😔 I remember having to go through my diary and cross out all my scans and docs appointments. You can’t help but think ‘this is where I should have been on my path now’. Sending you love and big hugs x

Those ladies that temp you ever had an increase after it’s dropped? It’s so weird I expected another drop today but it’s gone back up 🤷🏼‍♀️ my period is very light which tbf is not unusual for me I had a few spots Tuesday night, barely filled the tip of 2 tampons yesterday, nothing overnight and literally had pink as I’ve wiped this morning nothing on my pad. Can’t even get a period right these days 😂

@bringmearainbow I gave up on temping. My temps never follow the 'typical' pattern and I never get a dip before AF arrives. I just think my body is a bit screwy. I think before DD my temps were more reliable but now I'm often second guessing what the heck is going on!

@LuckyMoonstone that's positive news..hopefully 10 days fly by. You tested negative at 10dpo if I remember correctly?

I'm 9dpo and I'm actually scared to test. Scared of a negative, scared of a positive. I don't mind messing round with cheapie sticks too early for anything concrete but when you get to this point the fear kicks in. Hopefully I'll pull myself back together x

@MrsJGrealish yeah negative at 10dpo. With my pregnancy that ended at 17 weeks I was still negative on ICs at 12dpo!

@LuckyMoonstone goggle is the devil. Good sac, good dates 🙏 the negative 10 dpo was more for me so if I pee on one it won't be my cycle over just yet xx
