I had my first flashing smile yesterday but didn’t dtd. I’m not feeling well as I have an awful cold…but really need to find the energy tonight!

My period will be due around 11th Jan. could be before or after as my cycle lengths vary by a few days.

Let’s keep each other company!

Age 35 TTC#2 (LB nearly 3 YO) Cycle#3 CD24
AF due 15th Jan (roughly) I can have cycles anywhere from 28-34 days... so going to try and wait until 17th Jan to test. Personally I rather not know if had a CP after seeing / reading about alot of them on another thread I'm on.
Not tracking ovulation as such (no sticks or temps etc atm) just following the clue app.

@WilllowStar I think I'll also test on the 9th! I might even do a cheapie on Sunday 8th... 🙈 It was a cheapie that gave me my first positive at 9dpo last month before I confirmed it with an FRER.

My app is predicted my period on 13th Jan. I’m already finding the TWW slow. I think I ovulated on 2nd Jan.

i was disappointed they couldn’t email me across the new report - all the secretary said to my husband was “I can see here that they have improved” .. if she had me on the phone I’d like to think shed have emailed haha. So not 100% sure where or how they’ve improved yet - but that was just 3 months difference 👌🏻

no expert but I can tell you the vitamins he’s taken if anybody reading is keen to know. However I think it was purely trial and error.

I am not a keen symptom spotter as I get bad symptoms pre period anyway so all the same to me - but a new one for me this week is insomnia!?! I just cannot get into a deep sleep either - not been fun trying to get back to routine🤢

My clear blue solid smile was on 30th and stays on for 48 hours. I retested after this (because I’m obsessive 🫠) and it was negative so presume I’ve ovulated 30th/31st. Does that mean I’m 6dpo? My Flo app is suggesting I don’t test for another 14 days which seems an awfully long time 😖 Some of my cycles have been longer than others but all have never been more than 35 days so the GP wasn’t worried. I planned on testing on the 10th, is this the soonest would you say?

@lottieb92 honestly how annoying when it's his own data! I get insomnia before a period! Always know when it'll start I can never fall asleep the night before!

@Anon2822 I'd say the 10th is about right for you to test, flo isn't amazing at telling you the correct testing date if you have irregular cycles. It calculates it using the average cycle lengths so tells you the date your period would be due and doesn't take into account the ovulation test. Ovulation date +14 days which is the best time to test. I have pcos and it once told me to test in 74 days as my last cycles had been in the 100s lmao

@Anon2822 how long is your luteal phase from past cycles? It's usually only the first half of the cycle that varies, the 2nd half stays fairly consistent. Mine is always 10 or 11 days. I got my first positive from 10dpo last time so you probably don't have too long to wait!

I think I’m already out this month 😥 now have brown spotting with cramps which is pretty typical 2-3 days run up to my AF. This is a little earlier than normal, AF meant to be due in 5 days. Frustrating as only 8 DPO. Must have a short luteal phase.

Hey everyone, I wondered if I could join this thread as a few of you have similar AF due dates to me and TWW already driving me mad! I am TTC baby #1 and currently on cycle 2! I O'd on Tuesday 3rd and AF predicted on 14th. Tracking using OPKs and FF. We only DTD on 2nd & 3rd as I got my dates wrong so not that hopeful this month. I also had heavyish spotting yday on 1dpo which I've never had before, has completely gone today so wondering if ovulation bleeding - anyone else have this? Maybe could be related to starting pregnacare this month..

@CAA121 I also tend to spot 4/5 days before my period and it makes me worry that I have low progesterone in luteal phase which is why I started taking pregnacare this month to try and increase it. I don't know if I'm just being hopeful but my temperature increase after ovulation was a lot greater/sudden this month rather than gradual so fingers crossed it's a good sign. I have read on some posts that people still get BFPs after there usual pre period spotting so you're not out until AF shows! Hope you get good news :)

@Piglet34 Welcome! Only DTD once or twice at the right time can be enough so fingers crossed for your BFP this month 🤞I’ve heard before ovulation is better so sperm is there ready for the egg. I’ve had spotting around time of ovulation before, usually pinkish colour hidden within EWD.

I did originally worry it could be low progesterone so I now take B vitamins known to increase it and had 21 day progesterone blood tests and all normal. So no clue what else it could be 🤔

Hello, it's my first time posting on here. We are currently trying for baby number 3 and this is our first month of properly trying. I'm in my fertile window now with today apparently being my most fertile day and ovulation happening tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed but also not trying to get my hopes up. Good luck everyone

I'm having slight cramps which feel a little like period pains, currently 5dpo. Hoping it's a good sign.. anyone else symptom spotting?!

I have a 6 year old and 15 month old. My period would be due round about the 21st and tomorrow is ovulation day according to Flo app. I'm hoping this is a lucky thread 😊

@SillyOldBear3 I'm 5dpo too. If anything my nipples feel less sore today than they did yesterday so that's not a great sign but any symptoms we feel now are just in response to progesterone which will happen either way so trying (ha!) not to overthink!

@Apat10 I keep telling myself this but I'm still over-analysing everything! Can't wait for the weekend for some distractions, it's all too easy to fall down a Google symptoms rabbit-hole when working a desk job from home!
My nipples are also less sore than they were 2 days ago, not sure what this means!

This 2ww is dragging!! Who's going to be first to test? 🙈 I'm now thinking Sunday but I'll only be 8dpo so realise it's very unlikely to be positive! To think last month I was so chilled... I didn't test 'til 10dpo, then when I saw the faint line I waited another 2 days to confirm on a FRER!

Sadly about 10 mins after I posted that message I got more of the same evening spotting, only lasting about 3 hours and gone by bedtime and completely gone this morn! So disheartening I hate spotting so much :( now wondering if this is just going to be spotting until AF... will have to wait and see what happens tonight, so weird for me as only CD20 :/ but feeling very unhopeful about this cycle now and me and DH not in the same country next time I O so will have to wait until March!

With these OPKs, I did one randomly today and it still seems to be a medium faint positive line (not as dark as the control line). Anyone with more experience of these, do you continue to get 2 lines all the way through? I.e can you still get a positive ovulation opk test when ovulation has finished?

Heyyyy. New here 😊 hope everyone is doing OK. Currently 5dpo and my boobs are itching like crazy! But could well be the top I'm wearing 😂 also got excited by the overly sweet taste in my mouth the past few days til I realised a). I wouldn't even have implanted yet and b). I'm doing a low carb diet so it's probably ketosis 🤦‍♀️ the joys of symptom spotting!

@Sunshine2243 I think last month I got a positive OPK test once I had already ovulated. My ovulation day confirmed by temping on FF was last cycle was CD17 but as you can see from attached pic I still had a peak on CD18 (forgot to do one on CD17 itself oops but my result on CD16 was also high). This month FF has said I ovulated on CD17 again but this time no positive OPKs on day of ovulation or day after..

Not sure if helpful at all but from my personal experience seems like it can vary!

Thanks so much for your reply! I googled after posting and seems as though only the first positive is 'valid', there is a real science/art to this haha! As Zita West said, just getting any potential issues checked out early as possible and having sex as much as possible/enjoyable is the only way not to drive yourself mad with this!

Hope everyone is well! I think I’m 4dpo today. This is the first month I feel like I keep thinking about TTC/conception and it feels like it’s going so slow already!

I think I have a good while yet until my period. Will I cave in and test before? Probably!

I think it’s because I’m feeling extra hopeful this month because I think I dtd on the day of ovulation, two days before and five days before!
