I had my first flashing smile yesterday but didn’t dtd. I’m not feeling well as I have an awful cold…but really need to find the energy tonight!

My period will be due around 11th Jan. could be before or after as my cycle lengths vary by a few days.

Let’s keep each other company!

@lemonyfox haha! I feel the same ‘squeeze in one more attempt’ haha. It seems like we’ll be exactly in sync for the TWW! X

Yes sounds like it, exciting! How long have you been trying now, how are you feeling about it? How old is your little one already?

CZ9294 · 03/01/2023 09:56

@lemonyfox my little one is one! Ive been ‘not trying trying’ since July. I wasn’t testing for ovulation or worrying about tracking etc - just having sex when in the mood and trying to more regularly than usual. But I’ve been tracking ovulation etc for a couple of months now. It took sixteen months to conceive my first (my husband has a fertility issue). How about you? X

@CZ9294 @lemonyfox I am also in the "squeeze one more in" brigade 😂 THINK i ovulated on NYE but we were at my in-laws so DTD once more for luck NYD (husband's idea actually which made me feel less bad since I've felt like a sex pest for the last couple of weeks!!!) They can all have a lovely rest now 😅

Sunshine2243 · 03/01/2023 12:08

Hey just wondering, are we not supposed to have sex in TWW? Or is it fine to just try every other day up to day expecting period? Wondering if it makes a difference just in case?

user1019273703 · 03/01/2023 12:19

Yes. After a year and a bit of trying gone back to ovulation sticks. Sending baby dust to everybody.

Oh does he, I'm sorry to hear that. Well done for being relaxed and laid back about it since July though, TTC does weird things to us women and it's really hard to keep relaxed and casual about it!

I have a 2 year old 😊 I had quite a late/stressful emergency C-section with him and we were advised to wait 2 years before trying again because of internal healing, I probably would have started trying earlier otherwise!

Doesn't it feel weird being the one to instigate sex more than them! I'd much rather leave it to him to instigate 😂 mine can have a rest now too, we managed 3 times this cycle so hopefully it was enough

CZ9294 · 03/01/2023 18:08

@lemonyfox so hard to be relaxed and laid back about it! I think I’m at the borderline obsessive stage again now!

Sorry to hear about your difficult c section. Will you try for a VBAC this time? Xx

I'm only 3DPO and my nipples have the same soreness as they did when I had the chemical pregnancy earlier this month.

Someone please tell me that it's far too early for symptoms and to stop obsessing!!! 🙈

mrsed1987 · 03/01/2023 21:22

Hi all, can I join in? I have a almost 4 year old son and we have decided it's time for another. I'm 35 and have just come off the pill last week.

With my son, I came off the pill and was pregnant within 8 weeks, we didn't track or anything, I thought it would take a few months for the pill to get out my system! That old chestnut.

I feel much more anxious this time!

CZ9294 · 04/01/2023 07:27

Welcome @mrsed1987 hoping you get your bfp soon!

Well ladies, I think we are all in the TWW now? Let’s hope it goes quickly and it’s a lucky thread. Xxx

I think so, in a weird way I'd like to try another 'normal' birth just to experience it again a second time knowing what it's already like! My husband very gently suggested I might consider an elective, considering how traumatic it was the first time - for him!! 😂

I do wonder though, even though it might not have implanted yet surely your body knows? Knows that there's a fertilised egg floating around and it starts to behave differently?? Ie symptoms sore boobs etc.

Fingers crossed for us all!

Also does anybody use the Ovia app? I love getting little alerts about potential due dates like this, I find it fascinating!

CAA121 · 04/01/2023 10:36

@SillyOldBear3 I’ve been so obsessed with symptom tracking these past few months 🙈 so far none of them have turned out to be pregnancy related 😂

I’m 7dpo and had mild cramps last night and discharge with a slight rust colour tinge so no idea if this could be implantation or too early for that. Has anyone ever had anything similar? Or could this just be normal hormones 🤷‍♀️ ? My BBT dropped slightly this morning too 🤔 oh dear think I’m over thinking again 😂

That sounds pretty promising 🤞🏻

Apat10 · 04/01/2023 18:47

It's so hard not to go crazy symptom spotting!! My nipples have been a bit sore (but before my last period they were sore too and actually got much sorer than this so that seems normal for me as a response to rising progesterone.) Only other thing I've noticed is I've just had a feeling of pressure/very slight dull ache in my left ovary since ovulation. Only 4dpo so unrelated to whether anything has been successful or not but just hope it's not the sign of a blocked tube etc!

Honestly I think we're all just hyper aware of how our bodies are feeling atm, so hard not to overthink every twinge!

WilllowStar · 04/01/2023 18:55

The symptom spotting is so hard! I still don’t feel anything this cycle so thinking it may be a no. One week until testing 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Starting to feel a bit impatient! Is anyone else? 🙈 xx

SillyOldBear3 · 04/01/2023 19:08

@lemonyfox you're right, our bodies must be quite sensitive, maybe they can detect very slight changes in hormones?! I still have sore nipples and also a bit of an achyz uncomfortable feeling in my stomach today that I can't quite place!

@CAA121 sounds promising! Implantation is definitely a possibility at 7dpo!

@WilllowStar don't be too worried about lack of symptoms. All I had during my last pregnancy was sore boobs that didn't really start until my period was late. I feel you with the getting impatient thing thought, this 2WW feels so slow! Could be something to do with starting back at work after Christmas though!

CAA121 · 04/01/2023 19:09

@WilllowStar no symptoms can also be a good thing. Really doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason to this TWW, no such thing as ‘normal’ 😂 I’m feeling soo impatient 😂 wish there was a way of knowing earlier 🤔 I’m sure I’ll be caving a couple of days before AF to test

@Apat10 it is so hard to not to over think every twinge, I’m hoping your symptoms are good news only🤞🤞

Is everyone good at waiting until AF due date has passed or are there some other early testers here? Is anyone due AF earlier than 10th Jan? Think we are all around the same few days on here 🤔

Endogal · 04/01/2023 19:18

I'm definitely early testing! With my chemical pregnancy in the summer I would have missed it had I not tested early and if it happens again I'd rather know if there's an issue and I need help! That and I'm impatient 🤣🤣 will be testing probably the 12th at 9 or 10 dpo!

lottieb92 · 04/01/2023 19:26

Hi all, hope it’s not too late to sneak in here.
I am in TWW AF due 12th!
we are in the queue for fertility clinic and had tests done recently, so trying to beat the metaphorical clock and see if we can fall naturally before the appointment comes through 😅
have been actively TTC for over a year, I’d say 15 months I’ve lost count!

found out we have male factor - but just heard this week that the swimmers have improved - so feeling very hopeful this cycle. Would be our second - just 7 years apart!

🤍 fingers crossed for you all

Endogal · 04/01/2023 19:30

That's amazing news @lolottieb92 on them improving! Seen some insane stories about sperm improving with the right vitamins etc on here! Keeping everything crossed for this cycle 🙏

CZ9294 · 04/01/2023 19:33

@lottieb92 sending love to you. It took me almost 18 months to conceive my first. My husband has a diagnosed fertility issue. Sending love! I’m really hope you get your bfp this month! Amazing to see an improvement! When is your period due? X
