I had my first flashing smile yesterday but didn’t dtd. I’m not feeling well as I have an awful cold…but really need to find the energy tonight!

My period will be due around 11th Jan. could be before or after as my cycle lengths vary by a few days.

Let’s keep each other company!

@Anon2822 I have never tried clear blue ovulation tests but with my strips I went from low straight to peak!

how are those in the TWW finding things? I haven’t been too bad so far! Xx

@Anon2822 yeah I had it last month’s cycle when I went from low (circle) to peak in 24 hours earlier than expected. Didn’t really trust it so I’ve used both clear blue digital and normal strips side by side this cycle haha I think I’m becoming obsessed with sticks now

@WilllowStar no signs so far, trying to take new year easier just in case. Forever hopeful! When are symptoms meant to start? I’ve been over thinking potential symptoms for 8 months and so far no BFP so think I’m just thinking everything is a sign at the moment….

@Anon2822 thats interesting! I had low fertility on Monday, high on Tuesday, forgot to test/check Wednesday, had high fertility on Thursday and forgot to check today! I dtd on Wednesday and hope I can tonight too. Will try to test tomorrow morning (if I remember!)

I think I might be ovulating today as I had ECM yesterday and some light cramping, we DTD yesterday, not sure we will manage it tonight as we're out for dinner later and probably won't feel like it! 🙈

As for symptom spotting, I've always been quite bad for it in the past, however when I fell pregnant I had absolutely NO symptoms other than a missed period and the usual sore boobs! So I probably won't be as bad from now on!

I'm on day 7 of flashing smiley faces on clear blue which is frustrating but it's my first full period after the MMC so aiming to dtd tonight and then get a static smiley tomorrow or Sunday.

Feels like everyone around me is announcing pregnancies!!

Had my first ever positive OPK today! Came off my pill 12 months ago and only just got my period back at the start of this month. Today is cd25 for me so a long cycle and my ovaries are mildly polycystic according to ultrasound so could be a false positive OPK but I'm crossing my fingers that it's a sign things are settling down finally!

Have DTD every 2 or 3 days since cd12 including today so shall see where that gets us!

@CAA121 im not sure on symptoms to be honest. I have an almost two year old and with his pregnancy I didn’t notice anything until about 11 dpo probs which was sore boobs! He was a complete surprise though so I wasn’t necessarily looking out for anything. Are you feeling anything so far? I feel normal but I’m only 4 dpo xx

@SillyOldBear3 sore boobs were my first symptom of pregnancy too! crossing my fingers for you.

I didn’t dtd last night - I fell asleep hahah!

However, I had another flashing smiley face today (high fertility) so hope to tonight!

Welcome @ExcitedandNervousC1 ! Hopeful for you! Sorry about your miscarriage. I’m on day 5 of flashing smiley and I’m hoping tomorrow’s will be static! So we seem to be quite in sync. How long have you been TTC?

Great news about the flashing smiley! I haven't used OPKs before, I was about to start trying them but then we had the chemical on cycle 3 of trying.

@Apat10 Welcome! How annoying that it took so long for your period to return, but great news that it's back. Sounds like you've made an amazing effort this month though, your partner must be exhausted 🤣 mine is complaining now, as I'm trying to hassle him for the 3rd day in a row 😂

My ovulation actually happened today and is SO painful! I've had horrendous stabbing cramps on my right side which have been much worse than usual. I wonder if this is a thing after a chemical? We DTD yesterday and the day before so fingers crossed!

I've noticed since Ov that my nipples are very sensitive, like I can't even touch them or have my bra against them this evening, they're that tender. Also lots of backache, feels like I constantly need to crack my back 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️ don't feel hungry throughout the day but come evening I can't stop eating... constantly feel thirsty too and also having bad headaches.

My fingers are crossed.. 🤞

I'll be 1dpo tomorrow. I'm drinking pomegranate juice, taking vitamin B6 and eating pineapple 🤣 I'm sure my last chemical was due to low progesterone (I have quite a short luteal phase) and these supposedly help... the things we try..! I'm also considering a very low dose aspirin.. we have DVT in our family so I'm wondering if I may have quite thick blood, making it hard for successful implantation.

Oh bless you, yes the things we do! I've heard pineapple juice is also meant to be good for Implantation. I'm trying super hard to ignore everything during this TWW however everytime I get what could be a symptom I'm googling it and getting excited...

I also think its crazy to think some people get a BFP at like 8DPO.. so technically in 4 days I could find out- I'm not going to test that early and I will hold out a little longer hopefully

@SillyOldBear3 we’re off work but have a little one already so not much opportunity for daytime! I wish we could as I’d be able to stay awake easier then! If you can resist using opks, I’d recommend it - they can become a bit of an obsession (for me anyway!)

I had my static smiley this morning. So far dtd on Wednesday night and Saturday night. Hope I can at least manage one more dtd tonight or tomorrow! Xx

😅 hope everyone's partners aren't getting too tired! Think I ovulated yesterday but might hassle my husband for one more go today just in case and then give him a break.

Gosh I haven't heard all of this about pineapple etc! I've been taking folic acid and vitamin D but that's it. Christmas is the unhealthiest time of the year for me really, we are normally quite good! Not really expecting this month to work for us though having taken so long for my cycle to get going again but we've given it a shot!

My nipples have felt slightly sensitive and had mild cramps but not sure if my brain is just playing tricks on me as surely it's too early to feel any symptoms.

@Apat10 I’m only taking vitamin D and Folic Acid too. Good luck getting husband to go once more before you both get a break!

@AROSE9 welcome! How long have you been TTC for? Fingers crossed this month was your month. I will try to hold off until my missed period, but realistically I’ll cave one or two days before it’s due! I’m on cycle day 18 and my periods are varying between 28-32 days generally. So I expect period between the 11th and 15th January I think.

@CZ9294 we've been trying since august when coming off the pill but my periods/cycles have been irregular since (currently on CD79) so hope that isn't going to impact things! Had bloods done at doctors and all good so far.

I'll try and hold off until then but when I see people positing BFPs 8-12 DPO it gets me hopeful! Will be nice to share the journey though - fingers crossed!

Also in the club of having no clue what a normal cycle length is for me (ovulated cd27ish I think!) so am going to try to hold out two weeks to test if AF doesn't arrive first. Would rather not know if I have a CP...

Had my positive OPK today! Feeling some stabby pains starting in one ovary so hoping it'll be soon! DTD last night and night before, will go again tonight and tomorrow then it's another tortuous TWW!

Sorry to hear it took so long for you to have a period @Apat10, I also have mildly polycystic ovaries and didn't ovulate after coming off contraception. Metformin has helped with this massively so if you find it's taking too long to happen next cycle you could ask your GP about it! I had elevated LH as part of my pcos so was worried about how accurate opks would be but after tracking I have a very clear baseline and peak! I find the premom app great for logging tests, it gives you a ratio of strength of lh line and plots it on a graph.

@AROSE9 glad everything has been okay when you have had your bloods done!
I think I had a BFP at 12DPO with my little one, but I didn’t test prior to that - but it was still a bit of a squinter. I can’t believe some people have positives so early!

@Endogal i admire how much you are dtd-ing! I struggle doing it every other day haha! I find TTC so tiring haha! Good luck for this month xx

@CZ9294 absolutely no chance we'd do it that much normally! Only managing because we're off work, imagine if no luck it'll be back to EOD next cycle 🤣

I'm going to test at 10dpo which is when I got my positive last month. So that will be Tuesday 10th. My period would usually arrive on the 11th anyway so it's not particularly early for me.

I forgot to mention that last month I actually had hot water bottle on my belly most evenings, purely because I was cold! I'm not sure if this had any affect at all, but I did obviously conceive. I might do the same this month just in case! 🙃

@SillyOldBear3 honestly it can't do any harm can it so why not!! Hopefully this will be a lucky thread for us all! I'll be testing around the 11th, when I had a chemical 6m ago I had faint positives on the evening of 9dpo so wouldn't be able to hold out any longer than that. In fact I'll probably be dipping cheapies in every other wee I do from 6dpo onwards because that's just who I am as a person 🤣 xx

@Endogal really glad metformin worked its magic for you! I was on it for a good few months myself and while I was lucky to have no side effects it didn't work either so I stopped taking it a month or so before my first period which caught me off guard as I'd sort of given up hope. I've had a referral to the fertility clinic and if this cycle doesn't work they are going to try femara just to try to regulate stuff (assuming husband's sperm analysis is ok, results due any day!) Just thought I'd chuck everything at it in the meantime, was only really tracking to collect data on cycle length etc and then got carried away!

@SillyOldBear3 I am definitely stealing the hot water bottle trick!! May try adding some hot chocolate into the mix too just to keep things super toasty!
