Just a supportive thread for those of us who have been TTC for over a year. New faces are welcome. Feel free to vent, cry, laugh, ask silly questions, seek advice and talk about anything.

@NatW2021 This 2WW is definitely the worst one I've ever done. Not sure why IVF makes it so different 😂Glad you managed your first injection ok!

@lemons44 I have everything crossed that this time you get lots of embryos ❤

@Koalie Oh I've been testing since 1dp5dt 😂 I had a trigger shot on the 7th so wanted to see when it would leave. I'm now 5dp5dt and still have faint lines on 10miu tests so... not sure now if they're real or if they're still trigger. I will say though, I feel exactly the same now as my previous three pregnancies. I have nausea and night sweats.

How are you doing? Nearly at your 20 week scan, right?

@lemons44 I can understand why this round would feel different for you. Just remember that they’ve learnt from the first cycle and made lots of adjustments so the likelihood of a better outcome is high 🤞🏼 rooting for you !! X

@NatW2021 I remember the stims being painless too because my needles were soooo thin I didn’t even feel them going in lol. Keep us posted on your progress ☺️🍀

@TheBirdintheCave Haha! I’m not sure how but I managed to hold off until 6dpt but then I didn’t have a trigger shot so I knew that by that time the result would be pretty definite 😆

I’m doing well thank you. Yes, 20 week scan is on Monday, I’m so nervous 🥺🤢 getting proper kicks now though so that gives me some reassurance (although also stresses me out when I don’t feel any for a while 🤯) it’s such a roller coaster x

@Koalie I remember when my son first started moving and how reassuring it was to have that wriggly goldfish feeling ❤ Now he just kicks me when we're trying to put him to bed 🙄😅

I'm out I think. No progression from yesterday on my Easy@Home. Saving my last Clear Blue for some more disappointment tomorrow I think :/ Though knowing me I'll probably cave later on. I'm devastated. Just want to lock myself in a room.

Thank you @Koalie I am so so hoping for a better result but the fear of another failed round is literally taking my breath away with anxiety!

@lemons44 Thank you, day 2 done! Honestly it's breeze compared to the build up but I'm very anxious about the next steps, my scan, retrieval, how many eggs/embryos we get, transfer, will it work? Its just never ending. I feel like I'm just going through the motions as being honest i can just never visualise seeing those 2 pink lines. I feel guility for not being positive so I totally can understand how terrifying it is.

Something I tell myself is I can't do much more, I'm eating well, taking supplements, accupunture etc. I was reading a post by someone the other day whose first round didn't work out and she said she's decided that whatever the outcome she's choosing to be happy, i liked that thought process. Obviously feeling very naive atm as not yet got to point of it now working out but I feel better knowing I'm close to some sort of closure good or bad if that makes sense. X

@TheBirdintheCave - when is your test date? There is still time 🙏 x

@Koalie - hope everything goes well Monday, are you finding out the gender x

Thanks guys :) I'm wide awake again 🙄 Feeling very nauseated. I basically have all of my usual early pregnancy signs but will see what the test says later this morning.

@NatW2021OTD isn't til Tuesday.

Ok so the ClearBlue is darker than two days ago and came up much quicker. It's not as dark as I'd like for 12dpo though. Easy@Home tests are still showing very faint lines. I took one yesterday evening and there'd been some progression from the morning but this mornings looks just like the one from 6pm yesterday. It's all too similar to how my blighted ovum pregnancy started 😥

@TheBirdintheCave I found this chart useful for HCG levels.

Clearblue blue dye test sensitivity is 25 mIU/mL.
Easy@home HCG test senstivity is are 10 mIU/mL.

12dpo, annoyingly, is still very early.

@SarahShorty Sorry should have said these are the CB ultra early ones so both tests should be picking up 10miu 😅 I know I should probably just stick with the CB really. I just expected to see progression on both tests by now and am pretty confused as I'm not.

@NatW2021 Glad the stims are going well! Which package did you go for in the end? I.e how many rounds do you get and do you get any money back if it doesn’t work? We’re not finding out the gender on Monday, we are having cupcakes made and picking them up on Friday on the way to the beach, just gunna ask the ultrasound tech to confirm that the private tech got the gender right (we already have it in an envelope from a private scan 😆) x

@BakinABaby aahhh it’s so tricky when you have a trigger but if you tested it out and the lines are getting darker again then that’s gotta be a positive. Maybe should have just waited till test day 😆 haha! (When is that?) I always use FRER cause they’re 6miu 🤭 x

@Koalie FRERs are like gold dust at the minute I can't get a hold of any 😂 OTD is Tuesday. My husband is picking up a digi for that. I tried another E@H test just now and this time the line is darker so... maybe I should always test at 10am as that seems to give a better result.

Anyway, definitely pregnant (hoorah!) just hoping the wee one sticks around!

@TheBirdintheCave you can get FRER on Amazon for next day delivery! Are you not testing with FMU? That way, it’s always the most concentrated and the results are consistent xx

@Koalie Weirdly this time around my FMU has been really poor. I don't know why but I'm getting darker results with a 2-3 hour hold then testing at 10am.

@TheBirdintheCave hmmm … very confusing. Maybe try leaving 2 days in between tests, then you’ll know for sure 😆 xx

@Koalie Plan is to keep doing the Easy@Home ones every day and the CB ones every other day. So next CB is Sunday then OTD.

@Koalie we went for 2 cycle with 50% refund. There are so many options and also confusing. If it doesn't work out we are using the refund to go on a massive holiday as we have both agreed we will only be doing 2 cycles. (Although I no that change)

@NatW2021 I think the holiday plan is a good idea though I really hope you don't get to go 😘

Hey just an update. i had my scan this morning and they have told me to stop my medication/cancel the cycle as my body hasn’t responded aswell on the dose of the meds as they would like. I had 2 big follicles but the rest were not big enough and obviously we need as many as possible. I’m gutted and feel like shit, i have to start the whole process of again which wont be till September time now due to my holiday. I’m just really upset and not sure how much more upset and disappointment I can take and we haven't even got going properly yet. X

@NatW2021 oh I'm so sorry to hear the cycle was cancelled, it must feel so disappointing after waiting this long. A lady on another thread I'm on had her cycle cancelled as she didn't have many follicles, started again shortly after and ended up with about 15 eggs!

I know it's hard but just try to remember that IVF is all trial and error as everybody is different. The doctors were starting out just assuming what would work for you, but now they have a much better idea of how you respond they can ensure your next round is much more likely to be successful! As painful as it is it is much better to be cancelled now than go all the way and end up with few eggs when they know you have potential for many more. I know it's still really sucky though ☹️ sending big hugs xx
