TTC baby #1 7DPO

Hi ladies, after stalking every one else’s threads for months I’ve decided to make my own 😄 Im 7DPO today and have had 2 negative tests so far. Im 31, and we’ve been ttc for about 4 months now. I know it’s a bit too early to test so I’m staying hopeful. I just want to hear from anyone who’s in a similar situ so we can offer some support for each other ☺️ x

@Yolo23 Yay!! That’s amazing news! Congratulations!! I haven’t tested since Monday to avoid disappointment 😞 I like to hang on to the fact there’s a possible chance for as long as possible. AF due Sunday/Monday but I haven’t had the usual spotting that I do beforehand!

@Yolo23 did you have the same twinges down below as you did before AF?

@Yolo23 congratulations! I also had a bfp from the clearblue test but mine said 2-3. Not sure how it could be that far along but I'll take that!!

@TK220440 Thank you! ❤️❤️ AF is actually due Sunday so it’s still early but I had to do it today having had a smear booked for 10am. I’ve done endless tests since and all say the same 🤣fingers crossed for when you test my lovely 🥰

Yeah definitely had twinges in the middle of abdomen and on the sides in the lead up - quite frequent! Xx

omggggg! @Egsnow congratulations!!! 🥰✨ that’s wonderful news. I think it’s probably because I’m just before AF. If you google NHS when am I due - you’ll see that you’re actually further gone than the clear blue test. My friend who has been through a similar TTC journey told me. NHS says I’d be 3 weeks so you must be a week more perhaps!? When was the date of your last period? Xx

I'm 30 and ttc for baby number 1.

I'm 7 dpo today and took a frer and it was negative. It's a bit early so going to try again on Sunday - fingers crossed! ☺️

@e11even Welcome! When is your AF due? I wasn’t entirely sure when I ovulated but going by the apps, I got a bfn on 8dpo. Due on Sunday so I’m going to hold off doing a test until AF is late!

@TK220440 hello! AF is due on Friday so going to take a frer on Sunday. I'm also not too sure when I ovulated and just going by the app this month

Thank you! Totally shocked as I had hardly any symptoms apart from some cramping which I was convinced was AF coming.
@Yolo23 I did use that calculator and its suggesting I'm more like a month along. My first day of my last period would have been 29/10 so its saying due 3/8. Exciting times, just got to hold onto it! A whole new level of anxiety 🙃

@Egsnow eeek my first day of last period was 29th too!! But because of length of period I assume that’s why it’s a bit different - mine says 5/8/23 🥰
eeeeek I know!! I’m very anxious about it all, and working out when to tell close fam (parents etc) we’re also off to Dominican Saturday - next week 🫣

@Yolo23 yes my first too. I think I'm going to wait until the 12 week scan before I tell anyone but it is hard not to blurt it out.
I will have to tell work on Monday because of my job and certain health and safety regs kicking in! I feel like its going to be so obvious though, I just hope no one asks me directly because I hate lying! On that note, anyone got any decent excuses as to why I won't be drinking at the 100s of Christmas dos coming up???🤔😏

@Egsnow having a nightmare this morning! So I took another digital just to be sure before I tell my partner (had this whole plan ready).. and it’s come back not pregnant - I drove to sainsburys as quick as I could like a mad lady and bought more (honestly I am finding pregnancy tests this week) , the next CB digi was an error 😅😂 and the other (super early flashy red thing CB digi) says pregnant… my cheapies also still show a line…

As it is, the digi I had a negative with was part of a 2 pack CB test which includes the old fashioned one and a digi… the old fashioned one is hardly legible in any form and there’s no test control line so I’m not sure / hoping it’s a dud! Honestly who’d have thought even after a positive it would be so difficult!! I’ll just have to give it a few days and test again but I do now think that one pack may have been a dud.. I have first response coming tomorrow via Amazon 🤣 just crap because I had this lovely plan in my head and now I’m hesitant to make too much of a song and dance about it - it’ll be more of a convo now I think 😕 just in case!

It says for the error it didn’t have enough urine which tbh I know it wouldn’t have really as I used a pot which didn’t have too much in so the error is genuine

Oh blimey @Yolo23, what a roller coaster! But the cheaper tests are still accurate so maybe its just super early. I read that at the moment the baby is the size of a poppy seed so super tiny!
Hope it is positive when you test again! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
I also read that its super rare to get a false positive so hoping its not that either!

And @Yolo23 sorry to hear about the polava with tests! I am going to get a good stock of tests in!

My next period is due on Christmas Day…. So I am either going to spend it secretly elated or a bit teary. I’ve said I will test on Christmas Day and put it in DH stocking if positive!!

@NarnieJoy of course!! I am 37 and have never been pregnant so really didn't know what I was up against! I was on the pill pretty much consistently since I was 18, so decided to come off in May this year.
We weren't careful from the start but started to actually discuss trying in October so really two cycles but only used ovulation sticks this month so I'm very lucky I feel. I thought I was in it for the long haul for sure!!
But I also am taking pregnancy support and OH is taking conceive plus and horny goat weed from Holland and Barrett so maybe that boosted our chances too?

@NarnieJoy thank you! I told other half today and he’s excited but yes that stupid dodgy test has left us a little sceptical in our excitement. I’m a bit nervy with holidays on Saturday but we will have to just let it all be. I’ve had 5 positive tests (4 of which have been digital) and 2 today so fingers crossed.

@NarnieJoy ahh that would be such a special Christmas for you! I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed!
If I got a bfp on this cycle, the due date would be 6th august, my dads birthday who passed away 9 years ago (due on tomorrow but have a horrible feeling af will show up) x

@TK220440 I was adamant that af was due so like others have said, you really never know! Do let us know if it is a bfp! It might just be meant to be, especially considering the date!
