TTC baby #1 7DPO

Hi ladies, after stalking every one else’s threads for months I’ve decided to make my own 😄 Im 7DPO today and have had 2 negative tests so far. Im 31, and we’ve been ttc for about 4 months now. I know it’s a bit too early to test so I’m staying hopeful. I just want to hear from anyone who’s in a similar situ so we can offer some support for each other ☺️ x

@Yolo23 Ahh okay, thank you for the info... I’ll perhaps book my smear in for late December then, just incase!
Are you thinking you’re out for this month? As much as a lovely big holiday would be amazing, we did agree to prioritise TTC rather than hold back until after the holiday. Then we’d opt for a caravan hol instead 😑

@NarnieJoy thank you! Unfortunately AF arrived this morning;( my partner is going to get his semen tested next Friday.. going to start checking everything at this stage I'm sick of just waiting on luck for every cycle

@TK220440 im honestly not sure! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed but as I had an abnormal smear a year or so ago, I’ve really got to go to be safe. I’ve held off for an extra month or two due to timing so hopefully by Fri I’ll know for sure if it’s a yes or not and then can see what’s what! AF is due on Sunday but it’ll likely be earlier so hoping time wise my appt is ok. In the US they encourage smears during early pregnancy so it’s hard to know what is best but keeping yourself safe is just as important I guess! Definitely would rather a BFP than lots of cocktails in dominican but hey ho 🤣 I’ve lost out on loads of hols before by not booking things ‘just in case’ and it got me nowhere so I try not to think too much about things in case as it’s worse when you don’t do things and still have a BFN :(

I am out! On to month 4! Hope this is normal for it to take a few try’s I just wished it to happen by now. I know I’m ovulating so that’s reassuring.

@NarnieJoy oh no 🥺 sorry to hear that! It’s most definitely normal - it’s often the case that people take up to a year to conceive naturally but it doesn’t make it any easier unfortunately. Wishing you all the luck for the next cycle xx

@NarnieJoy Ah so sorry! I know how you’re feeling.. I’m in month 3 now, due AF Sunday and starting to feel the disappointment when AF comes too 😥Keep hanging in there! It’ll happen when it’s the right time 🥰
how long is your cycle and what cycle day do you ovulate?

@TK220440 im Sunday too 😢 I had what I thought was implantation earlier but I’ve come to realisation that it’s likely AF on its way! Super early, couldn’t help myself do a test - wrong time in fairness but yeaaah feeling a bit meh just want the week to pass now 🤪 hope you’re keeping on in there!

@Yolo23 that is super early! You’re not out just yet though. Hang on in there! I did a test yesterday, BFN but only 8dpo so there’s a little hope!

@TK220440 another test today BFN 😂 it feels as though AF is now slowly on her way… ugh never mind, expectations managed now in readiness! Will keep testing until Friday and then have the smear. Holiday cocktails it is! 🙃

@TK220440 my stats are - 30/31 day cycle, but generally I have spotting from day 28… ovulate around day 14/15 each months so have a 12 day LP. We both have pretty good sex drive so don’t mind doing it a few times before ov but this month I am SMEP.

I had covid in September which really threw my cycle for a loop - spotting at CD20 when I’d never had that before and really late ovulation. So I might still just be recovering from thay

I was due AF yesterday and it hadn't come but I had all the feels of a imminent period and so just assumed I was a bit late.
I thought I'd do a quick test just in case and there is a faint line for positive 😯. I've only got the cheap dip stick tests at home so will be going out very soon to buy the digital ones! But....I have no other symptoms, no sore breasts, no sickness or anything?! So weird. Might be a false positive I suppose??!! Anyone else had this?

How is everyone feeling today?

I've got from empty circles CD12 and CD13 to a static smiley today (CD14) so any positive vibes are very welcome!

Have DTD today and will make sure we do so the next two days as well, as I think the test result means I'm surging today so ovulation will be tomorrow?

Usually CD16-18 I get my static smiley so I'm glad I'm digital testing or I would have missed this month's best days!

@monsteramunch good luck! That all sounds really positive 🥰 I am just awaiting AF - 2 negative tests so far, still early but for once I was convinced this was our month so it’s gutting however learning curve to not listen to symptoms again and get hopes up 🤪🤣 this ride just keeps going downhill! But on the positive… we have an all inclusive hol coming up so I will be making the most of that if I can 🤩

Ah thank you, god I know the feeling of trying not to get hopes up but there always being some hope right until AF finally arrives!

That's great to have the holiday to look forward to if this isn't your month. I know it feels like a shit consolation prize for what we really want but it does help to have something to look forward to

@monsteramunch thank you! The weird thing is that I still believe I have all the symptoms. I’m sat here feeling sick with a banging headache, the odd spotting. It’s so frustrating 😂 your body and mind really does play tricks on you 🤪

Hey ladies! I’ve been quite active on this group so thought I’d best update… this happened this morning 😬😅 I’m still completely in shock. Had to cancel my smear that was booked for 10.30am!
partner doesn’t know yet as he’s out watching the football 🤣
I had so many symptoms this month and researched PILES so if anyone has any qs and I may be able to help, please let me know.

On day three of positive (super strong) strip OPKs... I guess we'll just keep DTD daily until they aren't positive anymore?!
