Clear blue test. Evap line or positive

I'm about 8/10 dpo as I'm not certain what day I ovulated. I did a test and forgot about it and went back to it after an hour. I've heard bad things about CB and evap lines, but the line is very much blue.

That looks like an evap to me. Either way, it’s not valid. This is why you need to throw them away after the time window has expired.

I would normally, but did a test, my child called me and it got left on the side and forgotten about. I'll test in a couple of days. Thank you.

The thin skinny lines like this after the time are usually evaps unfortunately. Doesn’t mean it definitely is but it happens a lot with these tests I’ve seen on here

They’re notorious for lines like that - i wouldn’t treat it as a positive.

Can you get a pink dye test for the morning?

Yes definitely look positive today altho I would have also said the original pic was positive based on my own experience.

I did about 6 tests one day in the summer (yes, 6! Over the course of a day tbf but these tests are bloody addictive when you're ttc). Each test showed a super light barely there blue line which only appeared 10-15 minutes after I'd taken them.

Guess what, I was (am) pregnant. I read at the time that it's rare to actually get an evap line -it's more likely you're very early pregnant or, sadly, it's a chemical.

Yes testing can get addictive. I'll be testing over the next few days and see if it gets darker. Period is due Saturday or Sunday so I'll do a digital then Smile

@Lollipop96 that doesn’t look right for a positive. Especially for after your period was due. I’d expect to see a nice thick solid line. Try using a pink dye like a frer or boots early result

@Lollipop96 that test in invalid as not a solid line. Doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant but definitely should not sue another test. I recommend what the poster above said or even a digital would show positive by now as you’re 2 days late

Looks like evap but I might be wrong.
Will keep fingers crossed, from own expirence I dont recommend CB.
Try the frer one.
I am testing today too 🤞🏻

The CB are 10mlu and frer is 6mlu so is the Clearblue is positive then frer would defo show a line.

Hi everyone...never been on these groups before and just been reading the comments about evap lines
This is yesterday's test that I did half way through the day and left for longer than I should before looking now all I can think is a evap line
I have had constant cramps and tender breasts for almost a week and period is due in 4 days
I think I've attached the image

Hi all,
So my partner and I have been trying to conceive for a while now and this morning she tested as she is two days past her due date for her period.
Now she left the test out for about an hour after she peel on it as she forgot and then I woke up and seen it.
Now the lime seems to be getting darker as the day goes on and from what I have read evap lines don't do this.
Now she tested again but by then she had drunk alot of coffee and water hence watering down her hcg levels.
So if anyone can shed some light on this it would be great.

If the test wasn’t looked at until an hour then it’s invalid. These clear blue test do show a blue thin evap line after the time quite a lot. They are only worth looking at within the time stated on the instructions.

It’s not to say she’s not pregnant just that you can’t rely on this test result as they often give these evap lines after the time. I would do another after holding her pee for a few hours and no drinking in that time and then take one and read the result in the time. Or wait until first wee in the morning.

Thought I had a positive early pregnancy test on 3/6 but did a digital this morning and got not pregnant followed this with three more throughout the day all negative.

period is due this Thursday.

has anyone else had positive test, followed by negative and still be pregnant?
