End of November testers (TTC August Baby)

Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

@TinkRose I get that feeling of string tugging on my left side so I hope it’s promising! How long have you been trying? Have you been tracking ovulation?

@NarnieJoy fingers crossed! This is the second cycle since coming off the pill, last cycle was just seeing what happened but I’ve tracked with OPKs this cycle.

@TinkRose really hoping for you. How have you coped with the 2ww? I feel like I’m going a bit crazy symptom spotting. Might try SMEP next cycle if it’s not the one

I’m so confused - have been temp charting via Natural Cycles and temps have been all over the place. Had a couple of peaks that lasted a few days then dropped back down, so not really sure what’s going on. I could be 10 or 5 dpo or have not ovulated at all this month. Gaaah! I guess only time will tell… And might be time for some OPKs next month if this isn’t our month because this uncertainty is driving me mad!

@ChloeN ahh its so nerve wracking but exciting. My skin has gone terrible and I feel rank!!!

My nipples are really tender (sorry a bit tmi). I’m hoping it’s a good sign but trying my best not to symptom spot as I did this last month and got excited then AF arrived 🙃 I didn’t use OPK this month either as I swear I have been obsessing over these the last couple of months. We just did it 3 times during my Flo predicted ovulation. Don’t want to wish my life away but also want to fast forward a week so I can test ha!

@Daisy1992 glad you finally got your solid smiley! it's always nice to see it, isn't it?

@Roxybabe your LH surge remains high for so much longer. I only test once a day in the morning with my first urine, and I only got one peak, it was low on the day before and after.

@Surprised90 I know, right. It does mess with you! I hope I don't have to invest in other OPK options quite yet! Will stick with the sticks and CB for now!

@Kayycatt yeah it’s strange, back in August I completely missed it! And had a really quick 1 day peak in Sept, but the last 2 months I have had 3 days of positives! The 3 days is better in a way as more chance of finding a peak but it also confuses me as I’m not sure when I ovulate 😩😂 … TTC is a huge mind game!

hubby back from work trip - going to try and BD one last time tonight incase the egg is still knocking about but tbh I think it’s too late. Think I’m 1DPO now! Fingers crossed but I’m not confident we have done enough this cycle, but couldn’t be helped as hubby away! I know people have fallen by BDing 2/3days before o day but I just doubt I’ll be that lucky! 🙄🙄but hey, theres always next month ….

In Tesco last night and I went to school with the girl on the checkout, she was talking to my little boy (1) then said ‘are yous thinking of trying for anymore then?’. In that moment I was so glad AF had actually arrived so I could waffle my way through an answer of ‘oh I don’t know, maybe at some point but not just now’. If I’d literally just found out I was pregnant yesterday as I’d hoped I have no idea how I’d have not made it obvious 🙈 I came home and said to my husband about the fact people think it’s okay to say these things. I could have just had a miscarriage then go in there and have to kid on I don’t want a baby because you can’t say ‘yes actually’! 🤦🏼‍♀️ At what point will people realise you can’t ask that?!

I don’t think it’s my month - no symptoms and I just have a feeling. Hoping that I won’t feel as disappointed when AF arrives, when I’m symptom spotting and convinced it’s my month it’s a killer! 9DPO today

Exactly the same here. I have a shortish lp so expecting AF on Sunday which would be 12dpo. My mood is usually quite badly affected by pms which I haven’t had so much this month but trying not too read too much into that. I’ve also been taking epo for ewcm which is also supposed to help balance mood in pms so perhaps it’s that 😏

I am the reverse this month. Slightly worried as I normally get the sore breasts/nipples right after ovulation. They are completely fine now... apparently this is a sign of low progesterone, may not look good for me this month 😞

My period is due in 6 days, and the main PMS symptoms I've had for the past 3 cycles are missing...rage, feeling very sensitive and emotional and feeling sick. I am however craving sweets like mad.
I've heard lack of PMS symptoms can be a sign of pregnancy...hmmm...
Can anyone confirm that theory for me?!

@JuniperandI i think pms can vary from month to month- a year ago without fail I’d have very sore breasts but then I just don’t get it as bad as I used to ! My friend who was trying for 15 months said that she had no symptoms she could attribute to pregnancy until she was 6 weeks and that’s when her boobs started to hurt. I am trying to not make much of my symptoms because heck I have no idea what’s going on in my uterus!

Interesting experiences from others with no symptoms. Will need to not read too much into them in the next two weeks.

Where is everyone at the moment and when does everyone plan to test?

I am 2DPO and plan to test in two weeks around 29 Nov (if I can hold out for this long...). Anyone on a similar timescale?

I have caved in and tested early on BD9 and afraid I am out this month sadly!
But hey there is always a next month:)

I feel better this LP than I have done during a LP for months - hoping that means AF is going to stay away!

Hi all, long time lurker here 😅
I'm currently 9dpo I think. Still not 100% sure on my cycle as I'm still breastfeeding my 14mo but periods do seem to be getting back to normal. Tested this morning and was BFN but I knew it would be - still felt disappointed though! I bought myself some new jeans though to make myself feel better so even if AF arrives next week, at least I know I've got a bit more time in my new jeans that I feel super confident in. It's silly I know but it's the little things that help. Not testing again now though, just waiting for AF I guess.
Haven't used any OPK yet but maybe in the next couple of months.

I have been feeling groggy for last few days and I've just gone to the toilet and some red spotting. I'm 8DPO now. Could this be my period? Or is that way to early? I've no idea about my cycle apart from my ovulation date as I got a positive opk, because I only had my coil removed last month. So confused/excited/trying not to think too positively but also running ahead thinking it could be implantation!

@Kayycatt I am 2DPO also!! Planning to test very end of Nov if I can hold out! I say that every month and start testing 10DPO 🙄😂 But I really don’t want to this month!! I will try and hold out for AF as I can’t bare BFN anymore 😩

I also think lack of PMS signs is a good sign! Most people I have spoken to haven’t felt much until 6 weeks, my sister said her tell tale sign was sore boobs but that was after AF was late!

Anyone here use Premom to log easy at home ovulation tests? Last month I got my peak on day 13 and it was 1.31. Day 13 of this cycle today and this morning my test was 0.81. Just tested again and I’m down to 0.46. Worrying that this peak isn’t high enough to mean ovulation will happen. Anyone experienced similar?

@Roxybabe yeah! TWW buddies - let's try and hold off from testing until at least on the AF due date. hehe. Let's do some crazy symptoms spotting instead 😅

@Misspotterscat I used easy@home and log with the premom app too. My peak was 0.87 this month and then I confirmed with the CB OPK and got static smiley.

@Kayycatt thank you for replying - this has really reassured me.

@Misspotterscat don’t worry! I had this one month! It could be you had a very sharp rise and just missed it!! 0.85 is still fine! Don’t worry too much about the ratio!!
