End of November testers (TTC August Baby)

Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

@Roxybabe thank you!! I still feel so unknowledgeable about all this stuff so it’s good to have a place to ask these questions instead of sitting worrying.

That's why I love this forum and these threads so much. It's always good to hear from others through their experience. I can't ask people around me these questions.

Apart from a close friend and my DH, no one even knows that we are TTC! and I don't want to tell anyone either so it's difficult to ask or talk to anyone around me about it which can be difficult at times.

@ChloeN I’ve just gone back to look at my tests from last month rather than the chart and can see I jumped from 1.31 to 0.74 within 2 hours (obsessive testing obviously going on) so looks like that’s exactly what’s happening!

What happens to your CM the days after ovulation? (Sorry such a gross topic) I have had quite dry tacky looking CM in my knickers the last 2 days, I don’t check for it because I’m abit squeamish! I only see it if its in my knickers or wiping. Does anybody else notice this at 1-3 DPO?
the reason I ask is because now I’m concerned it’s actually fertile CM and I’m actually ovulating now?? Ahhh the confusion! Although pretty sure that CM should be clear right?

@Roxybabe if it’s dry and tacky that doesn’t sound like fertile cm. Fertile cm is much more watery and stretchy I think you’d know it if you saw it! Xx

@Roxybabe i find the non fertile stuff to be tacky and a bit snappy when I stretch it! Fertile really is smooth and silky - mine can be cloudy but mainly clear with some cloudy spots. I have to keep myself from checking my cervix in the 2ww as it literally moves all over the shop.

Hi ladies! Hope you are all well.

Just an update from my end for anyone that’s interested.. I tested Wednesday morning with a FRER and got a faint pink line. Couldn’t quite believe it so spent ages analysing it thinking it might have been an evap line! I then tested on Wednesday evening even though I know FMU is best but I just used a cheap clear & simple test.. I could barely see anything in the time window but seen something after.. not sure if this counts as it was like 40mins later 🥺

I haven’t tested today I’m going to do another FRER tomorrow morning and if that’s positive I’ll do a clear blue on Saturday (the day that AF is due). I feel I won’t believe it’s true until days after AF is meant to arrive! I’m not sure it’s normal to do this many tests 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 the days are totally dragging!!

@Laul89 that FRER is looking extremely positive 😊 test tomorrow to confirm but a line is a line no matter how faint!

@Roxybabe I'm 4 DPO and mine is sticky too, and there's not much of it. It sounds like yours! Mine stopped being the fertile type about half way through 1 DPO.

@JuniperandI ahh thanks, that’s reassuring! I always get to O week and obsess over whether I ovulated and what day!! I’m pretty confident I have as I had a positive LH on Sun/Mon and a slight increase in BBT this morning but then I saw the CM and it threw me… I don’t get alot of CM (a worry of mine) so when I do it confuses me!! I don’t check for it as I’m abit funny about it, so if it’s not in my underwear I don’t see it! maybe I should start checking but it grosses me out 😂

@Roxybabe oh my CM doesn't phase me anymore, I check it all the time! It's really handy to indicate to me where I am in my cycle.

@JuniperandI Can I ask (sorry I know its a little personal), if you didn’t check for it would you still see it? I don’t really see alot of it, and I worry that’s why we havent got a BFP yet!

I really increased my water intake this cycle from hardly anything to 2.5/3L a day hoping I might see more, but I didn’t. I have looked online and it does say ‘just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there’ however I would prefer to see it! I might look into starflower oil or evening primrose for next cycle.

@Roxybabe I had A LOT of fertile (egg white) cervical mucus this cycle and I used evening primrose oil up until ovulation so that might be why. I normally have plenty though.

Outside of my fertile time, I don't have a lot of it, only when I wipe and even then sometimes there's not much at all.

@Roxybabe thank you! I’ve got my fingers crossed for you ✨🤞🏼 and about the CM.. I never really paid much attention to mine either until I started to read more about ttc. I feel like I have very little for most of my cycle but could definitely tell when the EWCM arrived as it’s clear, stretchy and slippy!

@NarnieJoy thank you! I’ve definitely had some weird cramps and twinges which have gotten stronger as time went on. They feel a bit different to period cramps but still that full/heavy feeling low down as if AF is near which has had me worried! My boobs have been fine, no real change. I feel as though I’ve been looking for things that probably have nothing to do with it all though 🤣🙈
We will see what tomorrow holds! 🤞🏼

@Laul89 yeah I never really paid too much attention to it but when you google TTC its very much all about EWCM and I don’t see alot of TBH so that worries me a little. When is your AF due? Any symptoms, do you have another test for tomorrow?

@JuniperandI can I ask what dose of EPO you used? I think I’ll order some for next cycle. Do you know the difference between starflower and EPO? I see some ladies recommened starflower whilst others recommend EPO?

@Roxybabe I've never heard of starflower oil, sorry! I got a bottle of 1000MG capsules of Primrose from Boots. Took it alongside my pre-conception vitamins after dinner.

Interesting watch on youtube for anyone obsessed with TTC like me 😂 …’the great sperm race’!!

@Roxybabe if I’m perfectly honest I don’t think I particularly have a lot of it, as in I don’t really see it in my underwear much, more when I wipe! Sorry for TMI! 🤣 only lasts about 3-4 days which is what made me realise it was EWCM!

My cycles are usually between 30-33 days.. today is day 31. App is predicting AF on Saturday. I just feel constantly crampy/heavy but nothing that particularly hurts.. it’s just there if that makes sense. I’m on absolute tenterhooks!! 🥴 When I planned to test on Wednesday morning I woke up at 4.30am needing a wee and had to go back to sleep/hold it in till 7am so it had been long enough! 🤣🙈

Tested at 11dpo...bfn...im still holding out some hope!!
