@BellaTheDarkOverlord bless ya, hope you get the reassurance you need xx

ScaredSally · 21/10/2022 16:43

Seem to be having an increase in CM, watery and abit tacky, but can't remember if that's normal for me (only had 2 periods after my stillbirth) - is this normal?

CheeryCupcake · 21/10/2022 18:21

😞AF appears to have just arrived. Disappointed, all the symptoms I had were nothing like my normal AF symptoms and weren't pleasant so really hoping that's not now my new PMS normal. Oh well, I'll just hope for better luck next month!

Littleheart5 · 21/10/2022 18:22

I’m the same @ScaredSally so interested to see what others say

Ncl31 · 21/10/2022 18:57

@CheeryCupcake sorry to hear AF has arrived. I’m awaiting for it to arrive too. I’d rather it just did so I can get on with it and start again next month

Olegia · 21/10/2022 19:12

Hey all,
Just popping in for a quick question, I thought this thread would be the most appropriate: I've ovulated for sure yesterday morning, and we DTD yesterday afternoon as well as the day before yesterday, (and on Sunday too) so definitely timed that right.
I've been having for the first time quite gummy cervical mucus, not sticky as such, but that I could quite literally pull out and it form into a ball almost... Isn't that weird?

ScaredSally · 21/10/2022 19:26

@Littleheart5 oh really? How many dpo are you?

Mummyme87 · 21/10/2022 19:32

@Brunette1989 who is your work health insurance with? I have AXA corporate with my OH work but waiting to find out if they cover fertility, some stuff online says they don’t but then loads of private consultants say they accept AXA 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Littleheart5 · 21/10/2022 23:57

8 DPO @ScaredSally what about you?

Daisy155 · 22/10/2022 00:46

@ScaredSally i had this as well have you tested your ovulation throughout this cycle?

I found out I ovulated late and I had sticky CM and also watery discharge but then I didn’t do anything or test and I know for a fact that was my ovulation 2 weeks later unfortunately AF arrived my second one it came late though this time due to ovulating late and ended just 2 days ago.

fingers crossed for you xx

ScaredSally · 22/10/2022 07:31

@Daisy155 i was pretty sure I ovulated CD19, did another OPK just in case I didn't and was ovulating now and definitely negative... going to keep an eye on it just in case

@Littleheart5 in 11dpo today (if I ovulated when I thought I did)

im starting to think AF is on its way though, have a really heavy feeling like I normally get so think the CM was just trying to throw me off haha

Littleheart5 · 22/10/2022 09:38

@ScaredSally fingers crossed for you it isn’t AF. I was using OPKs so I’m positive mine isn’t caused by ovulation. The TWW is so hard, reading into all these micro symptoms!

ScaredSally · 22/10/2022 09:58

@Littleheart5 you look out for everything dont you... the only thing I've had is a change in CM but I definitely this AF is coming, major style achey cramps this morning

Sparklythings1 · 22/10/2022 11:20

Only good thing about AF arriving is going to my friend’s leaving night out tonight and I don’t need to try to come up with excuses or kid on I’m drinking 😅 trying to take it that someone has a plan for me for next month

thelma57 · 22/10/2022 13:21

Hi @Olegia welcome! I think your CM can change up all the time but it does normally dry up after ovulation, but don’t forget it’s also there to give us a good clean so it could just be doing it’s thing!

I don’t know where I stand this month, was thinking I’d missed peak but tested this morning and my LH is up again (but not near peak) I do have PCOS so meh. Any thoughts?

Need to track BBT next month but I always forget!

Hoping for a BFP October/November

Thanks! I also don't produce much EWCM mucus in general (at least none that I can see), I hope that won't affect my chances too much

I haven't been having any symptoms at all since ovulation, then again we're only on day DPO 2, I'm reading loads of threads on how long it takes people to get pregnant and it just seems to be so random all the time, even per woman!

I also have PCO, and actually I find that my surge is very very quick, I really need to catch it at the right time, so perhaps you're in a similar situation?
I see you missed the morning on the 19th, perhaps that would have been a strong T/C ratio?
I find that any reading I take that's not in the morning (first or second wee) is usually quite low, even if I have just ovulated
Do you have very irregular periods with your PCOS?

thelma57 · 22/10/2022 13:39

Ahh yes I did miss the morning of the 19th, and the evening of the 18th too (which was when I had lots of EWCM) My surges are so short too! I did have very irregular periods, sometimes my cycles were 70-90 days but since May I’ve been taking inositol and it’s worked wonders! Have had a period every month pretty much since June 🤞

I think when you’re symptom spotting it’s so hard, and really makes you aware of everything! How long have you been TTC for? Wishing you all the luck! X

Olegia · 22/10/2022 14:16

@thelma57 Ah yes it's possible that you may have missed your peak! Based on what you're saying I reckon the morning of the 19th is when you had your peak

Great that inositol is working so well! I've read up heaps about it and started taking it about a month or so ago too. How great that we can take an over the counter that is research-backed!

It really does stress out to symptom spot doesn't it!
We've only been trying since this cycle to be honest (I'm 26, he's 27). I never thought much about it, but the past 6 months I found out I had PCOS and coming to the realisation that it may be 'harder' to get pregnant, so I thought I'd like to come off the pill first (stopped early July), and let my cycle restart again.
It took a while before I got my first period (mid september), though we used condoms last ovulation. This month is our first time trying it timed.
I'm just quite concerned as I don't have EWCM mucus at all! That's why I'm trying to time it as close to ovulation as possible.

thelma57 · 22/10/2022 14:23

Thanks @Olegia I hope so as we’ve timed things well if so but will keep checking and trying! 🤞

Honestly I would recommend it to everyone, I just wish that GPs would recognise supplements more!

I wouldn’t worry too much about EWCM, everyone is different and there are lubes you can use to imitate it if you need too, I know preseed is supposed to be good! But maybe see how you go first, don’t get too swept up into the madness of TTC too early!

I’m 34 in December and DH is 32 now, we’ve been together for almost 9 years and it’s our one year wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks, we’ve been properly trying since around June but not as much as we could have, I did get pregnant in December as we weren’t using protection at all but not actively TTC but sadly it ended in a very early loss, so 🤞 before the end of the year we get something to stick ❤️

newjourney21 · 22/10/2022 15:03

Hi all! Hoping for some advice. I have been off the pill now since last November. We haven't been actively trying since around February as I had very irregular cycles which I still have, so have just been recording everything and see what happens. However this month on CD30 I believed I was ovulating (tender breasts, sore nipples etc), the same symptoms I have been getting exactly 2 weeks before AF for the last few months. However on Tuesday this week CD38 I started getting really sore and tender breasts again. This has carried on until today and I also now have a ridiculously increased appetite which is unusual for me. I am confused as to weather I have ovulated CD30 or at some point this week. If it isn't ovulation this week then I am really confused, it's now CD42 and no sign of any AF symptoms. We only dtd once on CD30 and then on CD38 and 39. My thoughts are that if I did ovulate on CD30, is 8dpo too early to be feeling such prominent symptoms? No idea whether to order a test or not don't want to waste it, advice appreciated!! Based on my last few cycles of ovulation symptoms AF should arrive on the 24th but I don't usually get any signs until the night before.

Olegia · 22/10/2022 16:12

@thelma57 Absolutely, it's funny because at my gyneco appointment, she said that she didn't know about it, but that I was free to use any over the counter medication I wanted. I'm also taking it, 3g/day, how about you?

Sorry to hear about your early loss, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! <3 If I may ask how long had you been off the pill before your loss in December?

It's such an extra obstacle having PCOS, the odds are already not so high as it is, but when you're facing PCOS on top it feels like the odds are stacking up against you

@newjourney21 Hey! It's hard to tell because of the irregularity in your cycle. It sounds off to have ovulation symptoms continue for that long, and I assumed they are not your PMS either since you say that you don't get symptoms until the night before..
I think 8 DPO is not too early to have symptoms, I had a quick search and your symptoms match with a possible pregnancy. Though it's hard to say anything, I would perhaps order a bunch of cheap HCg test, and maybe test again in a few days?

My2boysaremyworld · 22/10/2022 16:49

@BellaTheDarkOverlord how are you? Been thinking of you loads xx

newjourney21 · 22/10/2022 17:22

@Olegia yes I think you're right. I'll order some Amazon cheapies to do on Tuesday if AF doesn't arrive as predicted by Flo. Having irregular cycles is so frustrating!!! Thanks for replying x

Olegia · 22/10/2022 17:31

@newjourney21 Keeping my fingers crossed for you! <3

Brunette1989 · 22/10/2022 20:55

@Mummyme87 mines with Westfield health, there's various amounts for different things. One of them was £300 for the year for consultations, I asked and they said as long as they're qualified then can claim back consultation just couldn't claim any treatments. I went to the nuffield, definitely said they treated AXA patients but suppose it depends on the cover 😊 xx
