Just checked back in and can't believe all the BFPs! So happy for you all and fingers crossed there are more on the way soon!

Londonlady22 · 28/08/2022 19:52

@Nichelette @Havanalily1806 yay TWW buddies. i’m CD23, my cycles can be anywhere from 26-33 days which makes it harder to predict AF date so I just go by my app. I ovulated later this month, CD18/19. I think I’ll try and hold out until the 6th if AF hasnt arrived. Feels like such a long way away doesn’t it, I find the second half of TWW alot harder when the symptom spotting begins 😩 I’m going to hold off on fertilily for now, looks abit scary 😂 if i’m not pregnant by Christmas I might give it a go! What baby would this be for you ladies and what cycle of TTC?? Fingers crossed for us all.

Londonlady22 · 28/08/2022 19:55

@Orangesaretheonly awww sorry about the chemical! Thats so crap. Thats why i’m scared to test too early, think Id rather not know as they seem to be fairly common sadly 🥺 hopefully this is your month 🙏

CRLan · 28/08/2022 20:02

Ahh wow all these BFP such lovely news!! Congratulations to you all! 💖💖
@Londonlady22 I’m 5DPO and I’m due on the 4th September! Had achey pelvic area last night and this morning really hoping it’s not a sign AF is on the way. Seems to have subsided now but trying not to think about it too much.

Havanalily1806 · 28/08/2022 20:05

@Londonlady22

So I'm currently CD 58 🙄 (I came off contraception at the start of April and had a 45 day and then a 40 day cycle... decided to start trying this cycle and of course it's the longest yet.... did speak to my GP who did bloods this week to check for any thyroid problem so I'm hoping cycle length will improve next cycle! 🙈

So this is my first cycle TTC. It's taken so long to actually get to ovulation then TWW actually hasn't felt so bad so far 😂 I'm sure it will though the further on we get TTC.

The FertiLily was actually a lot easier than I was expecting, i didn't really have any issues with it. I don't know I just liked the idea that I was doing something additional to try and help things along 😅

Fingers crossed for you too

Londonlady22 · 28/08/2022 20:16

@CRLan cycle buddies!! Would be too early for AF no? I had little twinges yesterday but not going to read into them too much… probably just one of those things!

@Havanalily1806 oh wow thats a long old cycle, was it the pill you were on? hopefully your hormones are just settling and things start to normalise soon!! 🤞🤞

Nichelette · 28/08/2022 20:59

@Londonlady22 am sure I ovulated on CD18 or 19 too. Got some OPK's for next month if no joy as haven't tried them yet. Hopefully no AF and we can both test on the 6th 🤞🏻

Am on cycle 3 trying for DC2. First time I was so lax and just assumed it would happen as women in my family seem to be super fertile (3 twin pregnancies between my mum and sister who both had 4 births and 8 pregnancies each). He was 13 months in the end but only 2 or 3 once I paid attention to dates so not really sure how long if I'd been more on it at the start l. I used to have a very predictable 28 day cycle and we tended to DTD at weekend when not exhausted so could have easily missed window for months 🤦‍♀️.

It does feel sooo long to testing. I know it sounds ridiculous but I was so relaxed with DS and would have been okay if it never happened as I hadn't always pictured myself with kids. I stupidly (and apologise to anyone trying for first) almost feel worse having one because I'm so desperate for a second. I know really I'm incredibly lucky to be in the position I'm in but emotionally I feel a bit silly.

NatGee · 28/08/2022 21:04

@Londonlady22 6 dpo here. Will be testing next sunday xx

Londonlady22 · 28/08/2022 21:18

Its not silly, you can’t help how you feel. I’m on cycle 3 for baby no 1 but wasn't really trying the first cycle so second cycle really. I never really wanted kids until recently, it sounds mean but when I spent time with my sister and friends with young kids and babies I used to be relieved it wasn’t me, but I’m 33 now and newly married and after being with DH for 8 years feel like we are finally ready and think I would feel like something was missing if we never had a family.

@Nichelette forgot to tag you

CRLan · 28/08/2022 21:22

@Londonlady22 ah yes but last month my cycle was 5 days early I was taking the pregnancy care vitamins and they seem to have messed up my cycle so stopped taking them this month so will see what happens.

Londonlady22 · 28/08/2022 21:29

@CRlan same, I was taking pregnacare and had a 26 day cycle which was the shortest i have ever had. Have started a new supplement this month, hopefully its ok

Havanalily1806 · 28/08/2022 21:31

@Londonlady22 yeah, the combined pill... had been 14 years so didn't expect things to be so smooth straight away...

You sound so similar to me! I'm 33, and anyone who knows me would say I'm the most non maternal person ever. We've been together 7 year, with a wedding planned 2024 (would be the dream to fall quickly so that I could lose the weight for the wedding 😅 but being realistic..)

But for whatever reason, being around our little nephew I think has made us realise more, and probably just finally growing up where a night out (more so the hangover) is just not what either of us want anymore 😅 and we both feel it's the right time... also my age playing a part too

CRLan · 28/08/2022 21:32

@Londonlady22 no way! Mine was also a 26 day cycle one of the shortest I have ever had too! I’m normally 28-33 day cycles! So was really shocked when my period came so early. May I ask which supplements you are taking now?

Nichelette · 28/08/2022 21:41

@Londonlady22 not mean at all! I was completely the same. We started trying when I was 33, I was 34 when he was conceived and 34 (just!) when he arrived. Things moved very quickly but they slowed and he hung on until 3am so we're both 7th birthdays. He's exactly a month before me which I love 😄. I'm sure it will happen, it's just hard being patient.

Nichelette · 28/08/2022 21:46

@Havanalily1806 I was on the pill for 13 years until I was 33 but still managed to conceive :)

Londonlady22 · 28/08/2022 21:46

@Havanalily1806 yeah hopefully it’ll normalise soon! Ah how funny! I’ve always liked kids, I work with them and I adore my nephews and nieces but I just loved sleep, holidays and being selfish more 😂 but nows the time! Finally feel ready! I have always been terrified of labour too! But will just have to deal with that when/if the time comes.

@CRLan omg so weird, mine usually averages at about 29/30 days so the 26 day cycle was abit of a shock. I’m taking one called concieve plus but its nearly the same ingredients as pregnacare so think I’ll stop it when they have ran out and just get a folic acid on its own as thats the important one I think…

Havanalily1806 · 28/08/2022 22:13

@Nichelette thank you, GP has said to give it a couple more months to settle down so fingers crossed I start having some normality with my cycles

@Londonlady22 omg yes sleep, definitely holidays, and selfishness was also on top of my list 😂 just that doing what you want when you want has been nice haha but finally time for a change. And oh same! I don't even want to think about labour 🙈 gives me the heebiejeebies haha

Babydust99 · 29/08/2022 01:15

I'm cd9 now, just entered my fw and getting back into dtd again. I feel like I'm so far behind everyone else. Anyone else in their fw?

Londonlady22 · 29/08/2022 02:29

@Nichelette I turn 34 in January and would love to fall before then ideally so would be 34 when born 🤞🤞🤞it’s hard to be patient.. I never realised how long it could take 😬

LavenderWillow · 29/08/2022 06:50

Morning all! I caved and tried another FRER and bfn again. 12 DPO today. I know it’s called the two week wait for a reason but I just see so many people with early lines! 😞

im absolutely convinced something is different, I fell asleep for 2 hours during the day on Saturday and Sunday! And I’m still going to bed at 9!

have some twinges today and sore boobs sore maybe AF on way. Due between Wednesday and Saturday.
wondering if I should ask DH to hide the tests, he’s away on Thursday on a stag so could at least get them hidden until then!

@Babydust99 ill be joining you in the next cycle soon - I guess maybe people in their fertile window might be over in the June baby thread? It’s where I plan to jump over to soon! ☺️

EdinburghGirl1 · 29/08/2022 06:58

@LavenderWillow sorry to hear this. I'm waiting for AF too and 13dpo. I've moved over to June thread but still checking in on this one too.

Nichelette · 29/08/2022 08:37

@Londonlady22 some people do fall quickly - you never know 😊

@LavenderWillow until AF arrives you're still in with a chance 🤞🏻

Alice1608 · 29/08/2022 09:03

Aww @LavenderWillow! I totally feel you! I'm 12 DPO too and haven't even bothered doing a test this morning as I did on 9,10 & 11 and so sick of it being a BFN when I know something is off! I honestly feel nuts! I'm due Wednesday too, so am just waiting for then. But I just wanted to say you aren't alone and I've felt so low the past few days as I feel silly noticing these changes on my otherwise predictable body, have got my hopes up and now just waiting on AF. I know we still have a chance and have a few days but with everyone else getting their BFP so early on, I feel like it's me out this month. Sending you hugs xxx

newgal · 29/08/2022 09:22

BFN for me too at 9dpo… quite early to test but preferred doing it during the weekend 💭😞
