TWW and early ovulation according to OPK

Hiya!

This is my first cycle ttc after an unplanned pregnancy that ended in miscarriage earlier this year. I started using OPKs and I had my LH surge on day 10/11 which struck me as early… luckily we had been DTD regularly as we were on our honeymoon. Does anybody fancy waiting out the TWW with me? By my calculations I’m either 4DPO or 5DPO. And has anyone else ovulated early and conceived?

I’ve only been off the pill since the beginning of the month and haven’t used any OPK’s but based on changes in CM I believe I may have ovulated around 12th/13th August, so I’m going to count this as my first TWW! I’m not expecting a BFP this month with it being so early after coming off the pill but worth a cheapie test I think!

When are you planning on testing?

Yay! Hi :) yep defo worth a test, my mum got pregnant with me the month after she came off the pill! I’ll have my fingers crossed for you ♥️ I’m planning on testing as close to AF as possible because when I had my early miscarriage I only knew I was pregnant because I tested early, and then I started bleeding, then my HCG continued to rise afterwards before coming down (I had a load of blood tests) so I thought we were ok but then I started bleeding again. How about you? When are you planning on testing? X

@Baileybobz I’ve read quite a bit about people getting pregnant straight away after coming off the pill so I am secretly hopeful and trying to play it down 😂

I’m planning on testing the weekend of 27th/28th, although partners children will be here so may test the Friday as be easier without them here!

I’m at a hen do on Saturday and undecided whether to do a cheapie test Friday just incase…I know realistically it’s too early to show but as I don’t know exactly when I ovulated; and I would feel guilty drinking if it turned out I was pregnant, it may be worth a cheapie!!

It’s probably too early but if it puts your mind at rest it’s worth it. I’ve been debating whether to eat sushi/have hot baths/all that today as I do feel really weird… probably too early to feel anything but I swear my body feels different.

@Baileybobz I’m the same!! I think I must just be noticing things more!! Yesterday afternoon I slept on the sofa for 2 hours and then felt really nauseous, today I was almost sick this morning, and have had cramps in lower abdomen and just now pain in my lower back!! I’m sure I usually get all these things and just don’t notice as it must be too early for any symptoms!!

Hey I'm here to join in your TWW. I think I am just 3DPO (positive OPK on 14th, though believe I ovulated on 15th). Its driving me insane already 😂. This is my first cycle tracking ovulation as I TTC my second child. Was so lucky with my first as we fell pregnant the first month of tracking my ovulation. I'm praying we are that lucky this time around but I'm trying (and failing) not to get my hopes up. I definitely don't feel any different at the moment but I read that you won't feel any symptoms until after implantation. My last pregnancy I was so so tired and my muscles were ache and had sciatica early on so those are the signs I'm looking out for.

Have you had anymore symptoms?

@LuckyYou13 aww hiya! My first cycle tracking too 😊 I don’t know if it makes me more or less stressed to know exactly what’s happening - probably less, that way I have a bit of control I guess. I’m only 7DPO at the most but I do have really sore boobs, it’s really noticeable in the car when it is a bit bumpy. However I get sore boobs before my period soooo.. I ovulated on like day 11/12 so I reckon if I get a BFP it’ll be way before my period is due. How did you find out you were pregnant last time? Were you tracking then? How long did it take you?

7 dpo is around when implantation occurs so you very well could be starting to have symptoms 🤞🏻. I think with tracking your ovulation it gives you the best possible chance of getting that BFP so I think it's the best thing to do! I've spent the first half of this year hoping I would randomly get pregnant 😅 but suprise it didn't get me that bfp haha. I tracked my ovulation last time and became pregnant the first cycle that time so I'm really hoping it might be a similar story second time around. Funny how I found out because I expected my AF the day before but it wasn't unusual for me to have random cycles but I took a OPK on the off chance (totally not reliable but sometimes you can get a positive OPK around the time you expect your AF if you're pregnant) and that was positive, so I ran straight to the shop to get a pregnancy test and sure enough I got that BFP! I burst into (happy) tears immediately 😂

Aww how lovely. I’ve heard that about positive OPKs. I really hope it works out for you first time this time too! I’ve just taken a clear blue test at like 9DPO and I swear I see the faintest line on it… it’s too faint to even catch on camera but I see it. I’m hoping I haven’t just got line eyes!

I think I’m 11DPO (haven’t tracked, but from CM changes) and just had a bfn on an internet cheapie! Am not surprised with it being the first month off the pill but I’ve been super tired lately and feeling a bit weird so was a little hopeful!

@Houseelf90 aw no! Tbh I think they’re a lot less sensitive than FRERs I would probably get a negative on a cheapie at this point, maybe try a FRER? I’m in England and they were hard to get hold of around here but worth it!

@Baileybobz thank you - I did wonder if they might be less sensitive just being a cheap one (savers 3 for a £ ones!)

I see it @Baileybobz ! Congratulations, must feel amazing. Its your first month tracking ovulation? Great news! @Houseelf90 there's still a chance of getting a positive as it is quite early, fingers crossed! I'm 9dpo now so could try a early detection test but I am holding out for now. I might have to buy one after work though as I won't have time over the weekend and if i buy it I'm not sure I have the will power not to take it ASAP 😂

Is FRER First Response?

@LuckyYou13 I think I’m going to buy one tonight too! Trying to test sneakily as other half thinks I am obsessing!! He was going to go to savers tonight for some other bits but is now stuck at work so I’m going to try and go instead meaning I can pick up some tests while I’m there lol!!
I think it’s the first response early result ones….I’m going to look for the 10miu ones as I think the cheapies I have are 20miu

@LuckyYou13 @Houseelf90 yeah FRER is First Response Early Response I think it’s called. They’re like 6miu or something so they’re really sensitive. My husband also thinks I’m obsessed so don’t worry about that 😂 I think that comes with the territory - it’s hard not to obsess when it’s your own body.

yes this was my first month trying/tracking - I got pregnant earlier this year by accident but sadly that ended with an early miscarriage. Everything in me is hoping that this one is the one!

@LuckyYou13 @Houseelf90 well…..am now sat in my broken down car!! So no chance of getting any tests tonight or probably even being able to drive myself anywhere in the next few days to get any 😩😩 Amazon it is I guess!!

I think I'm gonna buy some FRER tomorrow if I can find some and test on Friday morning, I will be 11DPO so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. I'm sure my boobs feel a bit different today 😂

@LuckyYou13 honestly such a nightmare!! I’ve had a really achey lower back and legs today too so I’m just desperate to do another test 😂😂 oh well, I guess there are reasons why life gets in the way sometimes!

@LuckyYou13 that was what alerted me to the fact that I needed to test, my boobs are killing!!

My boobs are definitely telling me I'm pregnant 😂 though not quite a BFP. I wish I had a test to take FMU tomorrow but I don't 😫. Its fine it's fine, I'll pick one up tomorrow and test FMU on Friday 😅

@Baileybobz & @LuckyYou13 so annoyingly by the time I got home and been back out food shopping with other half, they’re now showing delivery for Monday on Amazon 🙈 so I’ll just wait it out till I can get myself to a shop on my own, do another cheapie on Friday and just go from there.
Oddly my nipples have been sore (and erect - sorry tmi) since a day or two after when I think I ovulated!! Less sore now than what they were, but definitely still sore! Am sure it’s not related but just very very odd, never had anything like that before with periods!! Boobs do seem bigger today but again that could just be related to AF!

@Houseelf90 @LuckyYou13 I was gonna do a line progression thing with FRERs but it’s gonna drive me nuts so I’m officially putting the tests down and counting myself pregnant now that I’ve had several positive tests until someone tells me otherwise!

When did you get the first faint line @Baileybobz? I'm half desperate to test to know and half happy living with the hope I am pregnant 😅
