SMEP - anyone giving this a try this month and want to join me?

New to mumsnet 🙋‍♀️ and I've seen loads of threads where everyone is so lovely and supportive so thought I'd post. This is our 4th cycle ttc #2, 1st cycle giving SMEP a try as I've seen so many success stories. With our first, we got so lucky and ended up pregnant on our first month trying so this waiting is a bit of a shock, although I know out 1st was the exception not the norm! Would love to hear any success stories, or any other ladies that want to compare notes this month x

Post ov temp to be 36.7. But I can't quite remember, and that also might be linked to what my pre ov temp was. I can't quite remember sorry.

Was useful because I didn't know much about charting, only started after MC to ensure I was ovulating, and was lond of making it up as I went along using the FF tutorials

Ladies got my fourth flashing smiley today and my bbt has dropped dramatically for the second day in a row. Resting hr has gone down too. Does that mean ovulation is imminent? I can't tell by my cm, I suspect because we've not had breaks on the BD front... woke up worried I've missed my peak

@fsr111 i might call my doctors this week and just see what they say. They might just say wait a few more months but maybe they will do something, nothing lost and at least will be on record.

Just about managed to catch the egg
CB opk was still flashing this morning
Did a strip test this arvo and there it was, my peak
The premom app kept giving me a low reading but the contrast was unmistakable
Went back to the CB and this time I got a static.
A bit annoying really as clearblue tell you to test with fmu but after today I think thats the wrong thing to do

BBT was on the money

@NSx I temp orally too and I use a Femometer Vinci II thermometer.

I have been trying to keep myself busy and not focus on the TWW, as I could feel myself getting stressed out... 10 dpo tomorrow and I am just going to use a FRER, as I literally can't stand limbo land and I clearly have no patience 🤦🏻‍♀️

@NatGee@NatGeey bbt will tell me all before I test anyway if it starts to dip in the morning. Won't make a BFN as shocking. Only thing different this month is my boobs never got sore this cycle but they do feel very full 🤔

@NatGee same happened with me too. 3rd morning flashing then static at 5pm. Think the surge just came later and I'm sure it says you can test twice a day once you get your flashing. I'm not sure how your app thinks that is low. That was definitely peak.

my resting heart rate dropped another bpm this morning so I’m out. I’m due AF tomorrow (or tonight) and it dropped 1bpm yesterday and 1bpm today which is what always happens before AF. I think it works same way as bbt (same pattern)

@allgoodthings84 thank you ✨ well they were 💯 BFN 😑 easy@home and frer. 10 dpo today and temp rose. At least my spotting issue is improving ✨ I am sorry to hear that your bbt dropped again 😞. Why is it so hard 😟.

I’m 7dpo - not a lot happening over here really .. temp rose a tiny bit that’s about it 😂😅
yesterday I was convinced I was getting sharp pains for about an hour on and off on my left side but don’t know if I’ve dreamt it 😅

@NSx I am spotting now so definitely out. Oh well on to the next cycle. Want AF here now so I can move on. I won’t have long to wait it will be tonight in the night or tomorrow

@Aurora81 10DPO is still early, hcg production is so individual. It's a great sign your temp is still high so keep the faith

@allgoodthings84 yeah, i understand that feeling of deflation when AF shows up, BBT is such a good indicator. Ive not been temping long but I too know AF was coming from the dips in temp a couple of days before. Onto a new cycle! how long are yours usually?

@NSx the 2ww is like the longest 2 weeks of the month 😰

Something popped into my head over the weekend. I am going to try dtd cd 7, CD 9, and CD 12 depending on when I get my estrogen and lh surge. Looks like I ovulated CD 13 this cycle, so I am going to try to aim for dtd the day before ovulation. When my dh had the SA done he had a 3 day hold and his numbers were all great.

@NatGee im going to try and hold off testing until Sunday, AF should be due Tuesday or there abouts - Sunday would make me 13dpo
I wasted so many tests last month testing early 😭

how are u getting on?

@Aurora81 yea I think a few days hold does work, I reckon it’s worth a try … this is my second month doing SMEP so if it doesn’t work this month I’ll be taking a more relaxed approach next cycle …

@NSx testing should come in fairly accurately at 13dpo but Sunday does feel far lol hang in there, do something to take your mind off it!

Got my peak yesterday and got straight to business. Will dtd again today and tomorrow - that will make it six days in a row, which isn't strictly SMEP, but hey, if he's up for it I won't say no
