Ok second thread for those of us that are still TTC an April baby.

I am CD12 so still got a bit of a wait yet...Not even at the TWW yet.

Fingers crossed this is a lucky thread for us all ✨

Hello, I hope it is OK to join here? I'm well over 4 years into my journey. I've been 3 through 3 NHS funded rounds 9f IVF all of which were unsuccessful and then yesterday I got my 1st ever BFP! Due date calculator says this means 7-9th April for baby due date, though I have diabetes so I may end up being indulged earlier, but I saw this was aimed at April bubs so I hope it's OK to join here.

BFN this morning on a cheapy at 11dpo. AF due weds so will test again in the morning but not holding much hope! 😔

By the way, does anyone know of a bbt thermometer that doesn’t beep? And ideally that has a light?

@MIW01 if you look on birth clubs you can usually find a due date thread, they’re such a good support.

I definitely didn’t DTD enough this cycle but just reminding myself it only takes once. Also going on holiday three weeks today so if I’m not successful this cycle at least I have beer / cocktails by the pool to look forward to.

@Charl881 well I got my static smiley on Saturday and then I got my peak with the strip tests yesterday afternoon, so I'm pretty sure that means I'm ovulating today. So I will officially be in the TWW tomorrow. It all just feels like it's dragging out so slowly.

We have tried to follow SMEP this month so I'm hoping we will catch the right days at least. Time will tell!

How many DPO are you now?

@hipposinacircle Either one or two. Didn’t bother with the strip tests once I got my static smiley which was Friday. I know I’ve ovulated though as boobs are really sore this morning which is my trademark ovulation sign!

I’m definitely going to try SMEP in the future, did you find it hard work?

@Charl881 me, I'm in TWW. AF not due for another 8 days 😩😩
How long left for you to wait?

@Charl881 10/11 dpo today. Did an easy@home and swear I saw a faint line so broke into the FRER and got THE most tiny line visible to man. I'm very nervous it's gonna be a long week

13dpo and a BFN. This is my last month of shettles method, after that I am DTD every day around ovulation.

@MrsCristiano oooh sounds promising, will keep everything crossed for you!!!

@ViMa1820 AF due next Monday but since I ovulated late I am expecting her more like Thursday anyway!

@Charl881 I have zero will power and just wanna test now lol! I consider myself a patient person but this is where I always fail lol!

How soon before AF has everyone tested? And got an accurate result?

@Charl881 it's been a bit more of a slog because of having a late ovulation, so we missed a couple of days along the way. I think DH has at times put himself under too much pressure and that has made things a bit more difficult too. But it definitely seems to work for people and it does make sense to me as a strategy!

@MrsCristiano that sounds very promising. Do you have any pics we can squint over?

@ViMa1820 with my youngest I got a BFP at 9DPO.

My DH has already said to me this cycle to wait until AF is due before testing. That just feels very unlikely. Patience is not one of my virtues 😁
