TWW testing first week of August

This is my third cycle trying, I’m currently 5dpo and definitely symptom spotting already 🙃 thought it would be nice to have some company in the TWW, meant to have AF on the 5th august but hoping I won’t 🤞🏻

Here's a question for you all - does having a shorter luteal phase affect how early you can test? My LP is only ever 11 days. The FRERs say you can test 5 days before period is due, but that would only be 6dpo which is waaay too early, right?

@RugbyGirl1 omg I was thinking this exact thing earlier 😂 mine is 11/12days but I went with no I don't think a test would show positive because the egg still implants between day 6-12 so there wouldn't not be enough hcg for it to pick up

Soooo there's no point wasting money on a frer as if I wait until AF is due, it should show on a normal test by then I guess? If AF doesn't arrive that would be a pretty big symptom 😂 funny how you were thinking it too @mummatara!

@Katt12345 you never know each pregnancy is different so it might just be your hcg isn’t high enough yet in this one! Still plenty of time 🤞🏻
@ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler That’s reassuring to hear! I think because I feel like this is the month I thought I would’ve had a BFP by now but it’s still early days I’m not even due AF till Friday and only 11dpo today!

@RugbyGirl1 😂 I know strange. Yes I mean technically not much point as it should show on any test by then but that will not stop me testing early because I can't help myself 😂

@TC95 I'm feeling pretty rubbish tbh which isn't helping because I'm bored so it's making the waiting go slowly 🤦🏼‍♀️

How’s everyone tonight? Still not has AF arrive yet even though I was determined she’d show today after the cramps last night, so don’t know wether to take it as a good sign that she hasn’t or not 🙃 have been feeling crazy hungry today and nauseous but think the nausea is just from being so hungry 🤣 if AF doesn’t turn up tonight I’ll take another test in the morning but not feeling as hopeful as I was at the beginning.

@TC95 it sounds hopeful tbh, if AF hasn't turned up that's a good sign, yep? Sending positive baby dust thoughts your way ✨

I'm still thinking same, sore boobs, tired but it really could just be normal pms symptoms. Took a test this morning and it was BFN 🙄 just couldn't help myself though. Still hoping it's just too early to test 🤞

@RugbyGirl1 yeah it really felt like AF cramps, so I’m gonna try and see it as positive that I haven’t had AF visit today 🤞🏻

@trailrunner87 hopefully, it genuinely felt like I would wake up this morning and AF would be here so the fact I’ve gone all day and nothing makes me hopeful it was something else! Those sound like positive signs though for you, it was probably just too early for that BFP though! Fingers crossed we get more answers in the next couple of days 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks ladies def not the positive I was after 😂 I just spent 2.5 hours getting DS to bed like wtaf 😳 I've gone to bed early not that I'm tired but I'm so grumpy. No symptoms other than the grumpiness 🙊 though I do usually have sore boobs but nada yet 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think I’m going to be able to wait until Sunday to test (AF day). Can’t believe I feel like that but I’m embracing it whilst it lasts😅. We’ve had a few losses so I know I’m more relaxed now in the TWW than the first trimester would be unfortunately.
Also 7DPO now and trying soo hard not to symptom spot. If I have spotted any, they could easily be AF related but I’m sure twice today my (usually crap!) sense of smell was noticably better so that’s got my head going!
would anyone describe implantation as twinges rather than cramps sometimes? X

@TC95 Gave the big speech of waiting last night, woke up this morning and tested🙈 BFN but still hoping it’s just too early and not an early type test, it was one of the cheapie sticks you get online x

@LP90 yeah I’m using the cheapie sticks too so feel like it might even be them not being sensitive enough! Might also be too early as well. 12dpo today and still getting a BFN 😢 feel like I shouldn’t give up hope until AF actually arrives but also can’t help shake the feeling I should have something by now x

Period due tomorrow or Thursday and test seems to be progressing. Still trying not to get too ahead of myself due to previous early losses.

Rooting for you all! Only symptom so far is sore nipples and bad skin, but I get them before a period anyway. Please don’t throw me out but I am skeptical about symptom spotting in 2ww as they can all be premenstrual too. Our bodies just love to mess with us 😬

Ah @mummatara I feel your pain, my symptom spotting turned out to be Covid so not feeling super hopeful this month. Not too sick but tired and cajoling my toddler to go back to bed at 3am didn't help matters 😴

@TC95 I also couldn't wait to test so used a frer and had a BFN this morning (about 10 dpo) so also looked at those threads that had people anecdotally telling about BFN until AF is due then BFN. So there's still hope and I'm going to buy the cheapie tests on amazon today because I clearly don't have the self control and don't want to waste the frers!

@Jigglemonster yes I’m using the cheapies and nothing so far (12dpo) but I’ve seen that apparently 13dpo is the most common day to get your first BFP so still got a little bit of hope! So fingers crossed it’s just too early for the both of us!

Couldn't help myself and tested this morning, got a BFN. I think AF will make an appearance this Friday. At least it'll stop my boobs aching! 🤪

I almost tested this morning (10dpo) but managed to resist! Feeling very unsure but expecting a negative, to be honest. CD25, so think AF should turn up in Saturday or Sunday, if it's a normal cycle.

Hi all, I'm 10dpo today, have been feeling nauseous, dizzy, back aches, cramps, headaches, hot flushes and had thick yellow cm last 2 days... very weird... gunna test Sunday (14dpo) AF is due anytime between Saturday/Tuesday ... fingers crossed!!!
