Line eyes 👀 chemical?

Hi all,

I’m CD 24 (cycle usually 25 days), not sure when I ovulated as didn’t test this month.

I did a FRER yesterday around 2pm and have just done another with FMU and I’m concerned it’s lighter than yesterdays test. Could this be a chemical?

The test from yesterday is at the top and this mornings at the bottom.

Tried taking another pic. Yesterday afternoon on top and this morning at the bottom still

Honestly @Scrambledeggz I think they’re the same, or if anything the second is verrry slightly darker. The lines may well vary a day apart anyway due to how diluted/concentrated the sample is. Good luck! 💜

HCG doubles every 48 hours so you should test every other day really. Taking 2 tests a day apart won't tell you if it's going to be a chemical or not.

Thanks for replying. I have booked an HCG blood test for tomorrow and another for Monday. It’s been an extremely long and difficult journey to get a positive test so my anxiety is sky high 😞

@Scrambledeggz it's positive!! It will be because your morning wee isn't as concentrated as your pm wee! This is like me. My afternoon wee is stronger than my morning!

@yorkshiremumofone oh really?! I always thought you were meant to use morning as it’s more concentrated from you being asleep overnight! I’ll do another test tomorrow before my blood test x

You are supposed to use the first wee of the morning.

The instructions for FRER says you can test at any time but HCG levels are highest in the morning.

Okay so it should have been stronger this morning than it was yesterday afternoon 😞

@Scrambledeggz I never used a frer on the morning urine honestly I had no issues! I took cheapies in a morning and afternoon too and they was always darker in the pm.

So honestly doesn't matter 😀 my lines have progressed darker on an afternoon.

My tests were always darker in the afternoon. Congrats!

I’ve resisted testing this afternoon, will do FMU again tomorrow and can compare to todays 🤞

I posted a thread just like this when I got my bfp. I read loads and it turns out that actually FMU isn’t best for everyone. It certainly wasn’t for me - my afternoon tests were always darker :) we had a tough journey too, so I really do empathise xx

I broke…just did another test and it’s even lighter so I think it’s over. Bottom is just now, top is this morning c.12 hours ago

That could be just because of diluted urine.
Hopefully you can do one tomorrow morning and it'll show a better line. Good luck x

Top is weds afternoon, then Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon and bottom is just now

I have blood tests booked for tomorrow and Monday so I guess that will confirm

Those lines all look the same to me op. It's hard to compare lines are your wee will be different each time so it's not an exact test unless you only test every few days. Your still getting quite strong positive lines x

Same again this morning. I’ve got a beta HCG test booked this morning and one for Monday. This mornings test on the bottom showing zero progression.

I think I’m about 10DPO now (I didn’t track this month). I’m on CD 26 and I average 25 day cycles

Oops meant 11DPO. Making the tests show 9, 10 and 11 DPO

I'd say stop comparing lines. This looks like you're pregnant to me.
