Line eyes 👀 chemical?

Hi all,

I’m CD 24 (cycle usually 25 days), not sure when I ovulated as didn’t test this month.

I did a FRER yesterday around 2pm and have just done another with FMU and I’m concerned it’s lighter than yesterdays test. Could this be a chemical?

The test from yesterday is at the top and this mornings at the bottom.

When I had a chemical I only had a positive test for 48hrs... I wouldn't worry OP

I’m struggling because when I Google FRER progression everyone’s lines seem dramatically darker each day, and when they’re like mine they all seem to end in chemical 😢 it almost feels like it’s too good to be true after how long it’s taken so I just don’t trust it

I think your lines are looking good for your dpo, but I honestly understand the fear and anxiety. I’ve attached mine from 10, 11 and 12 dpo top to bottom. See how my 12dpo actually looks lighter? I’m now 6 months pregnant. I was so so worried, I also went for beta HCG. And I also trawled them internet comparing lines. We are all different though, and so many factors can influence test lines. Right now, you are pregnant. Sending all the positive thoughts your way :) x

I can also really relate to not trusting it. I still look down and feel surprised and amazed after thinking this would never happen. I have spent so much of this pregnancy horribly anxious - all I can say is try and enjoy each day if you can. None of us have a crystal ball, we just have to try and take a day at a time - though I know it’s far easier said than done x

@HopingForRainbow2021 firstly, congratulations!! Secondly, thank you so much for posting that, definitely makes me feel a bit better. It’s so hard isn’t it and means that seeing the positive line, instead of being happy and excited, has just made me anxious and stressed. Fingers crossed I’ll be in your position in a few months time 🤞xx

I had a very similar experience to @HopingForRainbow2021. I did ivf and got first ever positive on third fresh cycle, 7 days post 5 day transfer- equivalent to 12dpo. Decided to torture myself by testing every day. It did not get at all darker 3 days in a row, even looked slightly lighter the third day. I was obsessively googling other peoples photos to compare progression and convinced myself there was a problem. I went to my clinic for blood tests on the third day of taking the tests feeling so depressed, convinced they were going to tell me it looked like a chemical. Instead they told me it was a strong positive result.

I carried on torturing myself for another week, and found some days the like would look darker, then the progression would completely stall for three days or even look a bit lighter again. This was all FMU, so should have been similar concentration. I made myself so stressed and unable to enjoy what should have been such a happy time. I think when we've struggled to conceive, it's how we try to protect ourselves- constantly bracing for the worst, not letting ourselves be excited. I know it's easier said than done, but try to step away from the tests now

I'll be 22 weeks on Monday, so the lack of progression for me was no indication that anything was amiss

@KatRee thanks, I do feel a bit like I’m torturing myself! I just got my Beta back and it’s 24.6 so will hold off on the home tests now and have my
second beta on Monday.

I think 24.6 is okay for 11DPO?

@Scrambledeggz - I think so. I had mine at equivalent to 14dpo and they were looking for anything over 50 at that stage. If your hcg is doubling every 48 hours like they say it should, you would be well over 50 at that point. Got my fingers crossed for you- the early days are such a nerve-wracking time

Scrambledeggz · 16/07/2022 17:29

Feel like I’m just wasting time until Monday 😬

I feel crampy and have just had light brown watery discharge when I wiped so I think it might be game over. I feel so heartbroken
