10th Month TTC..anyone else in a similar boat?

Hi everyone,

I am trying hard not to catatrophise here but 10th month of actively TTC and nothing. I have been tracking ovulation and doing all I can but I’ve had no luck. Friend after friend announcing pregnancies and I’m getting increasingly panicked and down about it all. Is 10 months normal? Or is it likely to point in the direction of a problem?

Morning all I'm feeling confused thought someone could help ovulated last sat tests were postive had ewcm left ovary pain. However I decided to continue on with my ovulation sticks since Thursday and last nights was getting darker but the test line is thinner. This ever happen to anyone?

@Xtina1986 that is so strange?! So the sticks are showing ovulation for the second time in your cycle?

I don’t want to get your hopes up but have you taken a pregnancy test?

Hey isla yeah the that line is thinner than control line but defo darker after my initial ovulation I done an ovulation test and the test line was faded but this past few days they have been getting darker. I'm out at a kids blitz now so will attach a photo when I'm.home. haven't done a pregancy that yet

Weekend of baby showers for me so it was a little difficult but generally I’m not as bad as I have been in previous months but still furiously inspecting toilet paper for spotting and noticing every dull ache or twinge in my stomach, as much as I’m trying not to!

Yeah same here!! I’m like 10/11dpo now, not much to report on to be honest. Some sticky CM when I wipe. Don’t know if I should test 🙄 I did yesterday and it was BFN with cheapie internet one.

Hello! Not been on here much but I'm 3dpo now. Had to fit in DTD around decluttering and packing. So every night DD is in bed, we do the housework, then sex, then pick an area of the house to clear out. It's been exhausting! Happy to be luteal now.
My best friend told me a couple days ago she's 7 weeks pregnant. It was IVF and I was so happy for her I cried but then it just makes me feel more urgency because I really wanted to do this together with her.

@IslaO hey! Glad your weekend wasn't too bad, despite the baby showers!! Mine was quiet and so plenty of time to over think 🙄

I don't feel great, I feel deflated and like I am out already this month because my temps are slower to rise this month. Also my ovulation pain wasn't as bad as last month so I have no idea!

Give me a week and il be inspecting cervix, toilet paper and every bloody twinge going. I wish we could just find out what's going on so we didn't have to stress and despair so much!!

I’m at the inspecting everything stage 😂 thankful for currently no AF in this heat though!!

Hey I'm OK apart from the heat shouldn't be complaining though as it's not often we get it. I've been feeling pressure in the pelvic area like cramps since yesterday but af not due until 29th if I'm.going by my 28 day cycle last month it came one week early but the Chinese doctor did that. Did an ovulation test yesterday was negative so think the other days qas maybe a second surge bd anyway just incase but not felling postive this month very little to none cm.

stupid question, is Cm a good thing then afterward ovulation? Continuing up until AF or BFP?

Hey @Watsochick not really sure I've read up on it a good bit some people have said they had loads of cm leading up to bfp othes have said they had none at all leading up to bfp. I'm just the same as I have been each month and all negative.

@Xtina1986 ohh right well I can’t think what I’m usually like, but Iv got clear stretchy stringy cm so will be good to note that for future.. I should be due AF end of this week I think x

@Watsochick im due at the end of the week too and will actually be on a mini break with some friends so really worried about how it’s going to impact me mentally/having nowhere to go to be alone.

@tingalayo that’s so strange you say that about your best friend.. the exact same thing happened to me last week with mine but hers was unexpected. She said she had sex once, at the very beginning of her fertile week and thought nothing of it. While I’m happy for her, it really is a punch in the stomach to hear stories like that when I’m trying so hard and really trying not to spiral into a ‘we will never have children’ hole.

sitting here in the sun trying to work out if I’m nauseous, have cramps etc and if so, is that a good (BFP) or a bad (AF) thing. Oh the joys of TTC!

Im really hoping to hear some positive news from some of you over the coming weeks- I feel like hearing of successful others who have been trying for a while will bring so much hope!

@Angie2018 that feeling of deflation and resignation is awful isn’t it. I hate to be so negative but I feel the same as I have at this point of my cycle every month and it’s so hard not to feel down. I wrote a note to myself last month to say ‘don’t be fooled by the sore boobs and nausea, it’s all just PMS’ so now every symptom feels like a bad sign. Just know there are people out there feeling just like you- it doesn’t feel that way with those in your friendship group im sure but that’s why I find forums like these so helpful!

@IslaO I’m also in the sun and doing exactly the same thing, I like to be busy in the TWW! Don’t know if I’m bloated coz of the heat or the fact I’m over weight !!! But yuckkk making me feel worse, wouldn’t care if I was expecting lol x

Hi everyone, can I join? I am just going into my fertile week of cycle 10. My GP referred me to a gynaecologist last week for some tests. Trying not to overthink or worry whilst I wait for my appointment.

@Watsochick im looking at my stomach wondering if it’s all the ice cream or pregnancy bloat! So funny we are sitting doing the same thing!

@SFrancis1 hey! Another one in the same boat-I’m sure your Google search history is similar to mine now you’re on cycle 10. I got basic bloods and a pelvic ultrasound done in cycle 8- was so scared it would raise issues but all came back fine and I think that helped. Now just to convince OH to get a sperm test but that is likely to be when we hit the year mark. If I knew it would take us 2 years to conceive but that we were guaranteed to, I’d be happy enough with that.
I just want the guarantee and life doesn’t give them!

@IslaO Yes, my google search history is extensive! I had blood tests for the first 4 months and a pelvic well-being scan last month - all came back positive. Being referred for a HyCoSy now. Partner has registered at the same doctors surgery today to have a SA done. All a bit daunting at the minute. Not quite sure how he actually feels about having a SA!

Oh what’s that follow up test based on? Is that a standard next test after general bloods @SFrancis1 ? How is your OH regarding the sperm analysis? Did you tell your GP you were trying longer than you have been? X

@IslaO I had CD21 blood tests at the beginning because my periods have always been irregular. My pelvic scan showed bulky ovaries, but I have been tested twice for PCOS. I mentioned to the doctor that I occasionally get a pulling sensation on my left side, she also saw it in my notes back in 2016 so has referred me to see if my fallopian tube is blocked (HyCoSy scan). My GP knows it has 'only' been 10 cycles, they removed my coil in September. My OH is yet to book the appointment, he said he will as he knows it is 2 of us on the journey and I am doing all of the testing and supplements, plus I have been upset and the last couple of AFs.

@IslaO I also paid for a private CD3 fertility test, all results came back good. I just have a higher egg count than what is expected for my age (31).

So I know your not out till AF comes but Iv woke up so deflated can’t be bothered testing because it’s totally pointless and a waste of money. I just have a feeling Af is coming. Little to no cramps anymore, cm reduced, just feeling mehhhh 😂 probably my hormones and emotions prior to AF coming.

Iv been quite positive trying to listen to my body for months and looking out for some kind of cycle but this month I’m scunnered

Hey @Watsochick sorry to here your feeling like that ur not alone woke up feeling sick with a mild headache. I've no symptons at all but don't give up hope with my first child I had no symptons at all was 7 weeks before I found out and only did as I had a routine doctors appointment. I've read on other sites that people don't have any symptoms.

Thanks for replying, Your right I’m just having a crappy morning I think. If I remember correctly I was the same I think I had cramps as if AF was coming but was testing negative. Then about 7 weeks I started getting sickness etc everything about me and my cycles though are different this time round so it’s hard don’t want to compare. This is probably the first morning I haven’t tested either I’m just fed up. Now have to go to work in this heat I’ll be a crank alllll day hahaha I’m so bloated !! X hope your feeling better as the day goes on, nothing worse wakening up with a headache :( I had a one before bed and stuffy nose! But thankfully it’s away!
