My 2 week wait starts tomorrow. I use the clue app which says my ovulation day is today so we'll DTD today and tomorrow and have been doing it everyday since Friday.

This is our 6 cycle trying for baby number 2 our little boy just turned 1. We had 2 miscarriages before my son was born and had a chemical pregnancy in May just gone.

I'd love some company along the way. Sending baby dust to everyone

@GingerbreadTM oh no sorry to hear that. I'm 36 in March and always aware that age may not be my friend but lots of people have babies older nowadays so I'm not to concerned yet

@PAJJ welcome good luck to you

I'm not even sure the app I'm using has my ovulation right because I'm trying to refrain from using OPKs yet and since I had my son my cycles seem to range anywhere from 26 days to 31 so we have just been DTD at least every other day if not both for 10 days during my cycle. My partner has no problems with this if it was up to him he'd lock us in doors and just constantly be doing it 😂😂

Hi can I join? I'm 4 dpo, C2 or TTC no 2. My son is 14 months. AF due 10th July.

I think we dtd enough to ensure we caught the egg but I ovulated on day 21 confirmed with opk so I'm unsure if that means the egg will be no good as its a bit late for ovulation.

I had a previous miscarriage before my son so I'm nervous about this but I really hope it is a BFP. I was very positive about it all but doubt creeping in today feeling silly to think it could work.

Thanks for reading:-)

@Rainbowbaby13 I just overthink in this situation 🙈
Feeling a bit better tonight thankfully 🤞🏼 it stays that way. My nipples are aching tonight too but I'm putting it down to covid. 9 days until AF, I will test if I'm 2 days late just incase covid messes my dates up.

I hope everyone who has joined this thread is keeping busy and feeling good and positive 🥰xx

@Sawa75 thanks for joining its great to have some company from everyone in the same situation

I just discovered that my Fitbit app thinks my ovulation is today and my other app said Monday even though I've input the same cycle data so we're going to keep DTD for the next few days I'm seriously knackered all the sex and looking after a 13 month old is making me extra tired 😂

My tracker says that ovulation day is tomorrow but I'm wondering if it's been early this morning as things were rather wet when I woke up. Dtd last night and felt like dh was hitting my cervix so I'm wondering if that's been a good thing. Af is due on the 12th of July so my 2 week wait officially starts tomorrow

@GingerbreadTM hope you feel better soon! I had covid earlier in the year (although I was lucky and had no symptoms). It put my cycle out by a week.

The chances of conceiving don't actually drop that much when you turn 35, it's only by a few percent so fingers crossed for you all!

Has anyone else been constantly researching and trying to find things that help with conceiving? Or it is just me? 😂

Report
GingerbreadTM · 29/06/2022 22:33

@TinyDancer91 thanks for the heads up on that because I'd probably start freaking out with no AF and negative tests lol

Oh I'm constantly looking up ways to conceive also, vitamins, positions, evening primrose, opks you name it lol

My GP told me to relax and it will happen but that's like telling me not to breathe 🙈🤣

I did chill out completely on holidays though so hopefully that helped our chance this month.

DP has just tested positive now too so it's going to be a few days in bed with a boxset and hopefully that will take our mind of things xx

@ArrrMeHearties 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm always researching I was wondering if different times of day might make a difference not that we'd be able to change unless it was the weekend. Also we tried 3 different positions this month I 100% don't think that matters but hubby is having a great time 😂😂 I might need to go on the show sex sent me to the ER I think hubby thinks I'm some sort of gymnast 😂😂😂

😂😂 we’ve chopped and changed the positions too. I don’t think I could read anything else about day timings etc. So many contradictory things…. Before 7.30am is optimum for sperm… have a rest day for his ‘stocks’… don’t have a rest day, the more the better. Each cycle I try one or the other 🤷🏻‍♀️

@GingerbreadTM like your GP says “just relax”… everyone says the same. It’s impossible!!! We went on holiday and I was convinced that was going to be the month as I genuinely did unwind.. nope!!

My other half was trying to bend me like a slinky and I was like please don't put me in hospital I don't think our holiday insurance will cover that one 🤣🤣🤣

I've had hardly any sleep last night or this morning because he's so bad with covid & keeps asking how I never complained as much, it must be the 'man-flu' bit kicking in there 🤣
I'm googling like mad about covid and early pregnancy (I know I shouldn't 🤦🏻‍♀️) but lying about I can't help it lolxx

@PAJJ so much conflicting information everywhere. To be honest when we were trying for my son the month I fell pregnant was the first month after having a normal period after having a d&c after a MMC (that's a lot of afters 😂) and honestly I'd given up all hope and didn't even look at apps or use OPKs I really just wanted to enjoy having sex with my partner again without the pressure

@GingerbreadTM a slinky excellent 😂

@PAJJ I know covid has probably messed it up for us this cycle 😢 but I'm still trying to convince myself it will be fine.
I seem to have a very mild dose of it thankfully so hopefully that goes in our favour too 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

How is everyone feeling today?? Symptom spotting raging yet??xx

I'm feeling ok I hate waiting but I think it's to early to see any symptoms although by the time I can take a test I'm sure I'll have convinced myself like I do every month 😂.

Hope you're all ok

Evening girls, I've a sence of feeling that we're all a similar age, I'm 37 next week. I always remember saying to myself that if I got to 35 and I didn't have any children I'd do something active about it (obviously thinking that I'd likely be single in this case & I'd just have a child alone). Obviously, situation is different as I have DP & it's so much more difficult than I EVER anticipated.

I'm trying not to symptom spot, but had light cramps since Monday (OV day according to fit bit calendar).

As for vitamins etc I take:
pregnicare (just coming up to finishing my first box)
Combined Vitamin D & Calcium (prescribed by gp)
And Ovulation support by conceive plus (I have PCOS & I swear that these tablets are the one thing that's brought my AF under control and regular).

Hope everyone is happy and healthy today xx

Hi Ladies sorry I've not messaged back I've not posted here before and struggling to keep up! Sorry to hear you have Covid @GingerbreadTM I hope you have a speedy recovery xx
I'm now on CD24, 8DPO and feeling stressed and emotional! I'm 39 (and a half!) I have a soon to be 14y DS from my previous relationship who was conceived first go so really worried we've left it too late now, been TTC since last May with no BFPS at all. Regular cycle and blood test in December all was fine. DP has now been waiting 6 weeks to get a referral appointment through after waiting 3 weeks to see his GP! Really hoping this is the month. I've also been using clear blue ovulation tests since feb and ovulating on time every month. Thinking of you all xx

Hi everyone!

Wanting to join in if possible. This is cycle 3 TTC number 2, but it took 11 cycles to get number 1! I'm 2/3dpo and will be testing around the 10th!

Good luck ladies, can't wait to see your tests!

Sorry to hear you have covid @GingerbreadTM . I woke up with a negative feeling as I went to a concert and was binge drinking with a hangover next day on cd12 (not like me at all these days, we took a rare evening off parenting a 14 month old to go to a concert). I didn't ovulate until cd21. But just feeling now that it might have affected the egg quality so no chance this month. Anyway on 5dpo so not near test day yet no symptoms at all.

PAJJ · 30/06/2022 22:29

@Sawa75 don’t be hard on yourself! I am sure that drinking won’t immediately affect things straight away. You’d deserve a night off! I’ve felt guilty most months after having a drink. Often with the BFN I’ll think “well sod it, I’m having a drink” and then beat myself up over it!

@GingerbreadTM Thinking positive! I don’t think it will have messed it up, especially with mild symptoms. You must be going mad with not much to do and googling 🤯

@Rainbowbaby13 I just take Pregnacare, but I read about Ubiquinol on another post so doing some googling now!

To everyone else, wish you ALL the best and I hope you aren’t driven too far up the wall
with all this. I’m a little further behind some, flashing smiley again today. In the positive mind set part of the cycle because we are DTD so in the hopeful stage of actually doing something to make it happen. Dreading the 2 week wait… always feel so hopeless!
