Hi girls, hoping I can join you all!
This is my first month TTC after coming off the pill.
I had a tough year last year with a MMC, doubted myself altogether and ended up going back on the pill until I felt ready and able.
So here we are! Good luck everyone 🤞❤️

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 09:57

Prettttty sure AF is coming! Got my usual pms twinges over the last day or so and I’m 9dpo! I don’t even want to take a test to confirm as I just have a gut feeling I’ll be disheartened!

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 10:01

@AliceS88 Ive been taking it for 5 months now - it’s just stabilised my cycles! I used to go from a 31 day to a 25 day to a 27 and now I think I’m consistently 27 days since the last 3 months! My ovulation has varied though from 14-16 cycle day but I think I’ve had things impact that like work stress or illness etc

SarahShorty · 21/07/2022 10:21

@Mortima I do. My follicular phase varies by 4 days, though my luteal phase is pretty much bang on 14 days. So I can ovulate on CD18 right up to CD21. I've no experience with covid although illnesses like flu and the common cold can affect cycles. Your immune system fighting things off can have a knock-on effect on your endocrine system which in-turn can affect hormones and your cycle.

Theawkwardblonde · 21/07/2022 10:54

Hope everyone is doing okay! I'm 6 weeks today. Insomnia has set in exactly like it did in my first pregnancy. No sleep and looking after a 6 month old is killing me.
Those who are similar dates as me, is there a pregnancy group on here? I've had a look and can't seem to find any.

lj2022 · 21/07/2022 11:16

How's everyone getting on in their cycle ? I promised myself I wouldn't come on much this month as I wasn't tracking but coincidentally this month is the first time I've ever had noticable EWCM and it's a lot and extremely thick. I'm wondering if there seemed to have been some sort of blockage or something as I've had a cold and been taking cough medicine that apparently helps the body rid of CM. So I think I'm definitely ovulating this week but not sure when and just trying to chill with it.

Is anyone due to test soon? Fingers crossed for anyone in the TWW

SarahShorty · 21/07/2022 11:29

Hey @lj2022 ! xx I'm 8DPO, CD26 today. I haven't been symptom-spotting as from previous experience it's quite pointless for me. I'll be testing with FMU this coming Sunday, fully braced for a BFN. My approach to it is to be cautiously optimistic and not assume it'll be a BFP. That way if it's negative it won't hit me as hard and if it's a positive, it will be a very welcome pleasant surprise.

lj2022 · 21/07/2022 11:32

@SarahShorty oh that's exciting over half way in the TWW for you! It's so hard not to symptom spot but im the same my PMS is sore boobs etc so never any point in me symptom spotting either. Fingers crossed for a positive for you 🤞

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 11:37

@SarahShorty when is your AF due? I feel like you’re the closest to me on cycle days as I’m 9dpo! I’m fully expecting a BFN too - going to test on Saturday if AF hasn’t turned up early! I’m due on Tuesday

SarahShorty · 21/07/2022 11:46

@Bananatoast123 my AF is due a week today on 28th July, or there abouts. The spotting starts on the day it's due and then the actual flow begins roughly 2 days later. I ovulated a day sooner than expected, so a 32 cycle this time.

SarahShorty · 21/07/2022 12:00

@lj2022 Thank you! xx I have my fingers crossed for you, too!

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 12:04

@SarahShorty Ahhh I’m due on Tuesday so 30 day cycle for me! I usually spot 2 days before so Sunday! I was determined not to test early and save money on tests that end up BFN and my period would tell me that anyway (ha) but I’m due a big family event and don’t want to drink if I am pregnant! But honestly not getting my hopes up given my cramps I have!

LauraA31 · 21/07/2022 12:46

I’m 11DPO and cycle day 22, AF is due on Sunday.
I have been having some discoloured discharge today, very light brown with hints of light pink…. Think this could be AF preparing to come!

I have read it could be implantation but who knows, BFN today and yesterday… disappointed but it’s not over until AF shows her face!

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 12:54

@LauraA31 I hold some hope for you!!

LauraA31 · 21/07/2022 12:56

@Bananatoast123 thank you so much! I have convinced myself im out. I keep sending the boyfriend photos of what happens when i wipe and he is like ‘is that normal?’ haha…
Im going to test again in the morning 🤞🏻

LauraA31 · 21/07/2022 12:56

@Bananatoast123 im keeping everything crossed for you too! X

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 13:03

@LauraA31 i love this! I told my boyfriend my period was coming and he just ignored it! He’s a lot more chilled than me 🤣 and very much is like it’ll happen when it happens!

thank you!! I keep having signs either way but we didn’t dtd as much as I’d have hoped on key days so I’m not too hopeful haha

LauraA31 · 21/07/2022 13:21

@Bananatoast123 Hopefully the times you managed to DTD worked!
We were the opposite, i think we overdid it. We made sure to DTD daily for days before and after ovulation, we certainly got the day but after that it’s out of our control, i did ovulation tests and got peak on the same day on clearblue and easy@home, just got to keep all crossed!

I thought by 11DPO id have had some signs or faint positive, seeing so many faint positives online as early as 9DPO has made me think im out.
And hahaha! My boyfriend just says we will try again next month, he did tell me if AF arrived this month he would upgrade his fish tank to cheer me up 😂
Yeah thanks, that’ll defo cheer me up ha!

I think im overthinking signs now, so today i have serious lower back ache and cramping alongside the pink/brown spotting- that’s why i think it’s more likely to be AF, although three days early is not normal for me. I’m never early, never late so that’s why part of me is holding hope!

EdinburghGirl1 · 21/07/2022 13:57

@LauraA31 it could possibly be late implantation bleeding as can happen 6-12dpo I believe. Fingers crossed for you. You aren't out until AF shows. lol like a new fish tank makes up for this! Guys just don't get it sometimes!

PinkButtercups · 21/07/2022 14:07

Had GTT test today (16+5) if this one comes back that I don't have it another is booked for 28 weeks. Because I had GD with my DS and the fact I'm now having twins it's more than double the chance of me having GD again. I'll be shocked if I don't have GD tbh considering the chances are higher from two factors for GD 🤣. The glucose drink was orange flavoured last time. They changed it to plain this time and I nearly heaved! The only smell I could liken it too was dry wee in pants 🤣🤣. Not that I have dry wee in my pants but with young children you know the smell well! 🤣🤣

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 14:14

@LauraA31 @EdinburghGirl1 haha it’s a minefield isn’t it! We’ve had months where we did it loads and here we are still 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ We only managed days 2 and 3 before ovulation but hey apparently it can happen if you only do it once!

Oh I agree! Boys don’t get it! I don’t think it helps that my periods make me sad anyway so add a BFN onto it and I’m worse 🤣

EdinburghGirl1 · 21/07/2022 14:17

@Bananatoast123 it totally is isn't it. You can DTD loads and on right days and still not happen. But yet it does only take once. I've heard of people not managing to DTD much around ovulation and it still working. Fingers crossed for some more bfp this month

Bananatoast123 · 21/07/2022 14:21

@EdinburghGirl1 same for you! I just went to try buy a test in person and bricked it - why do I get such fear of the judgement behind the till? I always get them online but wanted one for Saturday! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Springblooms08 · 21/07/2022 14:32

I think we’re going to do the same this cycle @keeponsmiling2019 - much less stressful! I have longer cycles so I think I ovulate around day 20 - going to DTD every other day from CD12 to around 24 maybe - not quite sure yet!

EdinburghGirl1 · 21/07/2022 15:03

@Bananatoast123 lol yeah I know what you mean buying them in a shop. It's crazy and there's no need. You could order them on amazon if you have prime and they would arrive tomorrow?
