@DesertSnow I've managed to lengthen mine from 9 day (although I'd start spotting 7dpo) to spotting starting on 12 DPO and AF properly starting 13dpo. It's taken a few months but hoping that it now stays that length. 10 isn't considered short but it's borderline as under 10 is short. Ill lost below what I take but obviously I'm not a dr this is just what has worked for me. I'm not yet pregnant so not sure if luteal phase is the issue for me or just bad luck that it's taking a while but hoping it will happen soon now my LP is longer. I'm taking this month off TTC for my mental health but hoping that when we start again the fact my LP is longer will help

1x prenatal vitamin
1x normal multivitamin (I've taken this for since before TTC so not really needed I just take it as I always have)
1x vitamin b complex (use this for luteal phase)
1x vitamin c 1000mg (use for luteal phase)
2x agnus castus 20mg (use for luteal phase)

Theawkwardblonde · 07/07/2022 16:35

Thanks for the messages. I'm 12dpo but being cautiously optimistic given I've a history of MCs. Bought a clear blue digital and it confirmed pregnant 1-2 weeks.
Feeling very nauseous. Put it down to that damn sickness bug lingering but perhaps not 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tropicana1 · 07/07/2022 19:56

Congratulations!! Fingers crossed for you @Theawkwardblonde

@DesertSnow I've been taking 1000mg vit c for the last few months and increased from 11 to 14 day luteal phase

DanisEndo · 08/07/2022 09:20

Im officially coil-less as of monday just gone! Nothing quite like getting a compliment on your pelvic floor on a monday afternoon :')

I've had some light bleeding the last couple of days which im expecting to get heavier.

At what point did you guys start tracking ovulation after having a coil out? How am i meant to know when i've had my first period?

Massive congrats to all the positives!!!! This is such a wonderful supportive thread. Fingers crossed for everyone still trying that you get those BFPs soon <3

Gizzy93 · 08/07/2022 09:45

@DanisEndo congrats on getting your coil out!

@DanisEndo congrats on getting your coil out!

Sorry. Phone messed up and pressed post too early lmao.

Anyway, I didn't start tracking until about 4 months after but we weren't ttc, I just wanted to know what was going on with my body. Honestly found it so empowering learning about how my body is working and doing what it's supposed to do

@Gizzy93 EEp thank you!

Fiancé wants to wait to TTC until September but im so keen to get cracking (have waited for the green light for the last 3+ years!) and not sure what difference 8 weeks will make to his 'ready-ness'. BUT i dont want to waste ovulation sticks or get myself stressed out if its too early to be ovulating again if you know what i mean :')

I find it all so interesting reading up on how it actually works, cant wait to understand myself better!

Scary as hell. But so exciting.

Gizzy93 · 08/07/2022 10:28

@DanisEndo you could always just track BBT while you're figuring out your body. It tells you that you've ovulated and once you have a few months under your belt, the app will be better at predicting your fertile periods. I'm only going to start using OPKs next month when we go from "not trying not preventing" (although, I know my cycle and I know when we're in with a chance lmao). That's if we didn't conceive this month.

DanisEndo · 08/07/2022 11:19

@Gizzy93 thats a good idea. can i jus use a normal thermometer or do i need to order something special that links to an app??

Oooooo fingers crossed for you!!

Mushroo · 08/07/2022 11:26

@DanisEndo How exciting! I’m starting TTC in October (mat pay reasons) and I’ve been tracking the last few months.

I’ve probably taken it too far and booked a little week away in a cottage for my predicted fertile week in October. Probably need to chill!

I’ve also been vaguely checking my CM and i do seem to get some EWCM when the app says I should be ovulating so that’s reassuring.

Gizzy93 · 08/07/2022 11:43

@DanisEndo you do need a BBT thermometer, but they're fairly cheap. You can just track it using Flo or Fertility Friend

BritishDesiGirl · 08/07/2022 11:45

I hope all you ladies have a great weekend and enjoy the glorious sunshine!!

I'm off for a few days to Brum to celebrate Eid Al Adha.

AliceS88 · 08/07/2022 12:51

Congratulations to all those who have got their BFPs! And baby dust to all those still on the trek

Hope everyone is well - I joined a couple days ago but didn't really introduce myself properly!

I'm Alice, I'm 34 and been married for 6 years with 1 little boy. I have endometriosis but despite that we did manage to conceive on our first cycle last time hence we ended up with a boxing day baby!! Finally ready to get cracking on adding another one to the mix.

Is anyone due to test on 20th?

lj2022 · 08/07/2022 15:34

@AliceS88 welcome fingers crossed it happens quickly again for you!
@DanisEndo oh that's exciting. If I could give anyone some advice it would be not to wait any longer than you have to but that's just going by my experience of now being on cycle 8 and wishing I came off contraception and started trying sooner. Is your other half willing to not try but not prevent until September ?

lj2022 · 08/07/2022 15:38

Has anyone ever taken a break from TTC ? I'm thinking I want to take a break this month as it really has effected my mental health this month and just don't think I can take another month of heartache right now if it doesn't happen. I'm going to try not DTD on fertile days just so I don't have that hope that we're pregnant when AF is due and just focus on planning my engagement party and getting ready to start back my final module for uni. Does anyone have any tips on how to completely switch off from TTC I will probably delete all apps etc but I just feel like it will still be in the back of my mind

Dreamingof3 · 08/07/2022 17:27

@lj2022 I'm not sure how to switch off from it completely but deleting the apps is probably a good start. The only time I took a break was when we were trying for our youngest and we wanted to avoid clashing birthdays...and that was the month we fell pregnant 🤦‍♀️

I hope you're ok xx

lj2022 · 08/07/2022 17:30

Thanks @Dreamingof3 honestly I wouldn't be surprised if that happened to us. We want to avoid April due to my other half having a weekend away planned but not the end of the world if it happens but my dissertation would be due then so don't fancy being either due or post birth trying to get it handed in and honestly didn't think of this as we thought It would have happened by now. (I'm at uni part time online so have a lot of flexibility apart from April) but what will be will be 😂

helly013 · 08/07/2022 17:41

So looks like AF has just arrived for me. Although it's a few days early 🤷🏼‍♀️

DesertSnow · 08/07/2022 18:00

@lj2022 thanks for sharing on lengthening your luteal phase, that's really helpful. Taking a break sounds like it might help you get in a better head space, and hopefully planning the engagement party will be a good distraction!

@Tropicana1 thanks - seems like I should get myself some Vitamin C for sure.

Congrats on getting your coil removed @DanisEndo. It's so hard waiting to ttc isn't it, when you just want to get cracking! Also waiting till September. Definitely agree re. tracking BBT, then use OPKs when you know a bit more about what your cycle is doing. This is my 3rd cycle tracking and I started out with 4 apps - so far Fertility Friend has been the most accurate for me.

Hi @AliceS88 - how old is your little one? I also have endo, and am worried it will make things diffficult for us ttc - your story is reassuring! Hope it happens again quickly for you.

@helly013 sorry about AF. Hope next cycle is your turn.

Tropicana1 · 08/07/2022 20:31

@AliceS88 ah I have endometriosis and conceived first month last time this also end up with a Boxing Day baby 🤣🙌🏻 no such luck this time as on cycle 3 now but never mind

@BritishDesiGirl have a lovely Eid celebration!

Heretochill · 08/07/2022 22:08

Hey everyone, lurking on these convos… love the supportive nature here, so great to see ❤️ Currently 8DPO, had a BFN from FR today… AF due 14 July… only cycle one so not expecting anything, but my goodness no matter how much I tell myself that, I can’t help but wishing!! Away for the weekend and only bought cheapies with me, otherwise this would be a mega expensive pass time 😂

hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and for those testing wishing you the best 🤞🤞

Gizzy93 · 09/07/2022 05:06

Sorry to hear about AF @helly013

I feel really calm about this cycle. Sometimes I get a little excited at the prospect of being pregnant, but I don't feel as on edge as I have in the past when there was a chance. Maybe that's a good thing 😅

We're in the process of buying our first home and hopefully find out by the 15th if we've got finance or not, so I think that's taking all my nerves this cycle haha
Also gives me something else to focus on and worry about

LucyLoopyLu · 09/07/2022 08:41

@GizzyGizzy93 hope all goes well with the house, I know how stressful that can be 💜

@DanisEndo I know it's not me but I have another reassuring endo story. My friend has endo so she and her OH started trying early as they thought it might take a while. Absolutely shocked that she got pregnant really quickly and had her first. Then started trying quickly again and got pregnant really quickly again! She didn't have any difficulty conceiving at all. She had some other complications as well but all was well and now have their complete little family with two DC 🧡

LucyLoopyLu · 09/07/2022 08:42

Oh sorry @AliceS88 @DanisEndo I got you mixed up then and tagged the wrong person!

LucyLoopyLu · 09/07/2022 08:44

@Heretochill welcome! Hope you're doing OK. 8dpo is still really really early so you're still in!!! Lots of people don't get the BFP until much later. It's stressful this TTC lark though isn't it. Logic flies out of the window 🤣
