@LucyLoopyLu completely agree logic goes out the window!

I'm CD7 now so just getting ready to go into fertile window. Decided to be a bit more relaxed this cycle and I'm not doing BBT. I've been so stressed with work, the miscarriage and hectic life with 2 kids and I don't think all the tracking is helping so going to attempt a more relaxed cycle. Probably easier said than done! May still do OPKs as they're not as stressful as BBT but may also not bother. I've been consistently ovulating around CD13 so know when roughly to DTD anyway. Looks like timing will be great this cycle as we are away at a wedding next weekend and I'm due to ovulate the day of the wedding, lovely hotel room just DH and I seems like a winner there! Lots of opportunity for DTD!

Ooh excellent timing @WingingIt09 although if it was me I'd probably get so drunk at the wedding I'd forget we were meant to be DTD 🤣

WingingIt09 · 09/07/2022 17:38

We can get into our room before the wedding so fully intending to make use of that, just in case we don't feel like it later 😂 although I'm not much of a drinker and DH is quite a horny drunk so should be fine 🙈🙈

@WingingIt09 sounds like the perfect opportunity!

SarahShorty · 09/07/2022 18:16

Good evening, ladies xx CD14 here, so getting back on the horse, in a manner of speaking, tonight. My LH peak can be anywhere from CD18, right through to CD21, so meticulous tracking and lots of fun time! Thank God we have AC, because this incoming heatwave may cause problems for my DH as he gets headaches. My best wishes to everyone and sending lots of babydust xx

Dreamingof3 · 09/07/2022 19:33

@SarahShorty we tried it with a fan pointed straight at us 🤣🤣 honestly so glad I'm past my fertile days for this month as high 30s would just not be happening

Speaking of temps...does anyone know if a big spike is anything at 7dpo 🙈

WingingIt09 · 09/07/2022 20:58

@SarahShorty my fertile week is this week and I'm not looking forward to DTD in a heatwave 😂🙈

@Dreamingof3 that sounds promising! Fingers crossed for you x

OP posts:
Dreamingof3 · 09/07/2022 21:38

@WingingIt09 do you think? I wasn't sure if it was just because it was warm last night 🤣

WingingIt09 · 10/07/2022 13:28

@Dreamingof3 it could be, has it stayed up? I've heard of triphasic charts where it goes up again during luteal phase but it tends to stay up...

OP posts:
Dreamingof3 · 10/07/2022 14:17

@WingingIt09 lower today than yesterday, but still higher than the post ovulation ones

Will be interesting to see what it does...keeping an eye on my rhr now too 😂

WingingIt09 · 10/07/2022 14:23

@Dreamingof3 all the symptom spotting! When will you test? Xx

AlleycatMarie · 10/07/2022 14:27

Hi, hope it’s ok to join here? I’ve been lurking for months but finally posting! I’m 40, been TTC for 12 months now. Currently 8dpo, have very sore boobs but got a bfn this morning, which makes me think sore boobs are due to AF. Hi to all.

Tropicana1 · 10/07/2022 14:29

Hi @AlleycatMarie 8dpo is still super early so don't count yourself out. With my daughter I got negative FRERs at 9. & 10 DPO and first positive at 11dpo

Dreamingof3 · 10/07/2022 14:35

@AlleycatMarie 8dpo is super early still, I've mever actually taken a pregnancy test before af due date until ttc this time 😅 I'm 8dpo too

@WingingIt09 I would really like to hold out til Friday, but in reality who knows 🤣

WingingIt09 · 10/07/2022 14:37

@Dreamingof3 yes I never have any patience either x

AlleycatMarie · 10/07/2022 14:55

@Tropicana1 thanks for replying and for giving me hope!

@Dreamingof3 thanks for replying! When do you plan to test?

I feel like because I’ve got such sore boobs if it was due to pregnancy it would show on a test by now and therefore it must be due to AF, but I will test again in a couple of days and remain hopeful!

Dimples81 · 10/07/2022 18:41

Hiya everyone, been lurking for the past couple of weeks. I’m ttc after an ectopic in 2019 and a infertility misdiagnosis this year. First cycle using letrozole for ovarian stimulation xx

DesertSnow · 10/07/2022 20:31

@LucyLoopyLu Good to hear another positive endo story, thanks for sharing!

Hi @AlleycatMarie do you have any other children? 8dpo still super early, you're not out till you're out!

Hi @Dimples81 really sorry to hear about your ectpoic and misdiagnosis, it sounds like you've been through it. Best of luck with your ttc journey.

Hope everyone is coping in the heat. For once I don't envy those ttc already! Get those fans on ladies!

Gizzy93 · 10/07/2022 22:01

5DPO and the weird, vivid dreams have started. Although I often have weird and vivid dreams, especially in my LP

DanisEndo · 11/07/2022 09:45

@LucyLoopyLu Thank you for that story! (i know you got me mixed up with someone else but i also have Endo so happy to read the reassuring story of your friend!!)

@DesertSnow I think I'll defo give BBT a go, my only thing is im not very consistent with when im getting up and remembering to do the same thing every morning (hence coil and not the pill 😅) so not sure how reliable it will be. But my cycles are mental (anything from 16 - 45 days pre-coil) so anything to help work out if im ovulating will be good.

@lj2022 thats what im proposing.... not 'trying' but not protecting against for the rest of summer. I pointed out September is only actually something stupid like 6 or 7 weeks away - would it make that much of a difference for him. But im conscious i dont want to push too hard. He needs to decide it on his own - I've said my piece, now the ball is in his court.

Reassuringly he has said there's more and more of 'parenting' that he's getting excited for now when he thinks about it whereas not that long ago it was just the fear.

I've told one friend about the trying and shes over the moon, knows how long ive wanted to, but she did laugh that i never do anything in halfs.... bought our beautiful bouncy puppy, bought our house which now needs decorating, got engaged and wedding planning, going through regulatory sign off to move into my dream job, and now TTC 😂🤘

SVC11 · 11/07/2022 10:55

Was very hopeful this month but AF arrived this morning 8dpo urrggghhh. That's so short! Will be trying all the things to decrease stress and lengthen my luteal phase this cycle.

Lovely to see some BFPs though, you girls giving me hope!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 11/07/2022 11:05

Hello all, back after a mini-break!

@LucyLoopyLu Sorry for the late reply! I've been taking the Metformin since Thursday, I've read that it can take up to a month to have an effect but so far I've only noticed a loss in appetite. Although that may be in part due to the heat.

@Gizzy93 Not sure if you're still having to take the cough syrup, but if you have a local Asda, I recommend their cherry cough syrup- it tastes a bit better than most and has Guafenesin as the active ingredient.

@Theawkwardblonde Congratulations! ❤️

I am currently on CD12, and will be starting my next round of Provera on CD17. AF was awesome this cycle in comparison to previously- lasted 6 days with a reasonable flow. I was even able to go swimming on CD1 since it showed up on the last day of holidays.

So far, so good. Hope everyone is doing well ❤️

LucyLoopyLu · 11/07/2022 11:31

@HeathenPlayingHouse Pleased you have got some positive developments now 🙂 thanks for checking in

@DanisEndo oh good I'm glad you didn't mind being tagged accidentally! I know it's only one anecdote but sometimes still good to have a positive story

I'm having a bit of a wobble this morning. Meant to be testing tomorrow AM (13dpo) before my smear. I've felt weird all weekend. Slept terribly, bad headaches, felt off my food and a bit sick at times. Headaches are nothing unusual but I usually sleep like a log even when it's hot and I rarely feel sicky/off my food. Usually if I am not as hungry in the morning I am ravenous by lunch time and always hungry in the evening which I haven't been. I don't know if it's just the heat.
Someone very close to me has announced a pregnancy this weekend and it has really made me feel shit about testing tomorrow now. I also have a horrendous work week and just feeling the worst Monday blues. 😪 it's probably all just PMT. I'm ready for this cycle to be over.

Dreamingof3 · 11/07/2022 12:28

Sorry you're feeling crummy @LucyLoopyLu although I hope it's for a good reason 🤞

Tropicana1 · 11/07/2022 13:40

Ah fingers crossed that there's a positive test tomorrow @LucyLoopyLu you've done so well not testing so far in such an early tester! 7dpo today and I know I'll be wasting a cheapie tomorrow 🤣
