I have covid again 🙄 this is the second time in 6 months. Now petrified for the babies 😢.

@LucyLoopyLu it's so hard coming off contraception isn't it and just feeling so alien with your body. My boobs always get a bit sore but OMG they are pretty tender today and my head is bursting but then again it could just be PMS that I'm not used to with a short luteal phase. I know I'm going to be heartbroken if AF arrives this month as I never expected it to take this long but if it does I need to look at the positives of my Luteal phase having extended meaning my hormones are balancing!

@PinkButtercups oh I'm so sorry to hear that hope you're doing okay? I know you'll still worry but I've had 2 friends catch covid while expecting and there was no effect on their babies just thought I'd share that in the hope that it eases your mind slightly. Look after yourself and rest up

Been in touch with the hospital as per protocol. They thought I might need an injection but didn't come up as risk for that thankfully. I have a consultant appt tomorrow over the phone so hopefully that'll be more reassuring too xx

@PinkButtercups oh no hope you're ok. I'm sure they will keep an eye on you. Hope you can get plenty of rest, take it easy 💙

@lj2022 ooh that sounds exciting either way tbf, win win whichever it is. Sorry if you said before but when are you planning to test?

@PinkButtercups I'm glad you have an appointment that will be reassuring. This strain of covid seems very week. My mum has serious respiratory issues and she has been absolutely fine this time with covid whereas the last she was quite ill so fingers crossed you don't get it too bad!

@LucyLoopyLu tested yesterday as AF was due and tested today and BFN for both so if AF still hasn't come I'll probably test tomorrow morning. Most likely at 5am when I wake up for my usual morning pee as apparently it's best results first morning urine

@AgeGapBbe @Nypie it definitely isn't a case of luck running out! I do say sometimes you can jinx yourself, touch wood etc. but actually in my most calm and logical moments i dont believe it. The universe is just so random and all our superstition is just our brains trying to tell ourselves a story to make everything make sense.

I will read this message back next week when I'm 13 DPO and completely stressing 🤣

Weve just found out we got our house, and I got a job offer, so definitely feeling the pressure of luck running out 🤣 but, I think I'll take that approach now @LucyLoopyLu and believe we're on a winning streak

I had a dream last night of a very positive pregnancy test, so hopefully a good sign 😅 I'll probably ovulate either today or tomorrow, the only way I'm keeping track is by symptoms and cm, which is honestly a little scary! Cm has definitely been thinned out by the cough syrup. Even DF noticed a difference last night so hopefully this is our cycle!

@Gizzy93 ah you never know! Can you take cough syrup whilst TTC or is it just Beecham etc you should avoid? Or is that only if you're pregnant?

Oh and at the age of 29 my bottom molar has decided to start to pop through... so I have toothache to.. 🤣

@PinkButtercups it's only a certain exporant, the active ingredient is guaiphenesin.
I'm only taking it because I have a cold with a nasty cough otherwise I definitely wouldn't have taken it haha, it tastes disgusting haha. When I was watching the tiktoks on it, they recommend you take it 3-4 days before ovulation, day of and 3 days after, I guess that way it won't affect any babies that decide to implant.
It just thins our CM making it easier for sperm to get to the egg, doesn't help implantation or anything

BFN again and starting to spot so looks like I'm out. On to cycle 8 by the looks of it. Honestly don't know how people do this for years because this is an exhausting emotional roller coaster just can't believe it's taking this long

Sorry to hear @lj2022 it is so tough :( Af arrived for me today so I’m out this cycle too. I’ve been trying to think each month I learn something new about my body which will put me in a better position for the following month.

I also try to tell myself it’s completely normal for it to take up to a year or even more. That doesn’t make it any easier though. It will happen for you x

@Springblooms08 sorry to hear your AF arrived too. It's the worst feeling isn't it. My flow will probably start properly tomorrow but the spotting is definitely the start of AF as my boobs aren't as sore now. Not stopped crying all morning my poor other half will be exhausted he heard me get up and then realised I was crying when I got into bed again and he never went back to sleep after because he was so worried and just held me until I fell asleep again. Don't know how much longer I can take this feeling when AF arrives

I think that I might have ovulated Sunday...we only dtd Friday and Wednesday so I don't know if that's enough 😬 feel out this month already

He's 5 - feel like I've left it quite a big age gap but haven't really felt ready for number 2 until now!

@lj2022 I'm so sorry to hear this and what a beautiful relationship you have. Don't you feel guilty this is future dad training and he is killing it. I cant imagine how hard it must be to wait so long so many people are the products of parents who didnt even give a crap your future baby is already so wanted and lucky.

I remember in a very old thread they used to have ideas of all the things they wouldnt be able to do once they had a baby and each month when af came they treated themselves to one of those like a spa night or wine tasting.

@AliceS88 doesnt seem too big my little brother arrived when I was 8!

Even though I know there is 0.01 chance that I could be pregnant this month I'm still wondering when is the earliest dpo that you can start to symptom spot...

@Springblooms08 @lj2022 sorry to hear AF showed up!
I'm in the TWW- 11dpo, AF expected on Friday. I told myself to wait but I tested this morning and BFN so I'm going to try and park it and wait until the weekend.
I estimated ovulatation on 23rd/24th. My DP wasn't home until 25th so I know its unlikely but I cant help but be hopeful maybe just maybe 🤞🏼
The waiting is the worst part!

Thankyou everyone for your kind messages this group is definitely a comfort on those down days because if I hear someone say "it will happen when it's supposed to happen don't get so upset and relax" one more time I'll scream. Debating wether to go back to tracking this month or not as my cycle seems to be lengthening so I'm now wondering if my ovulation day is possibly changing also. Has anyone tried the UK form of mucinex before? I've noticed I have like nearly no CM so might give that a bash this month. Feel like every month is a new trial and error 😂

@Nypie your message was so beautiful and comforting Thankyou so much. He really is amazing and was saying how he was disappointed too as this was the first time I was ever late but he almost feels guilty that he doesn't get as upset as I do. I explained though as woman it's our bodies and hormones that make it so different for us as an experience. But you're so right our future child is so wanted and loved already and that's such a great thought. How are you getting on ?

@lj2022 so sorry AF arrived and that you're feeling down, it's so hard isn't it not to get your hopes up and excited in the tww - personally I think tracking is really helpful for me, last month I ovulated cd14 (usually around 13-16) and this month it was randomly cd19 so without tracking I would have had no clue, probably not been DTD as much and then would have got my hopes up when af was late!

Feel like this cycle is just so long now, cd 21 and last month only had a 26d cycle whereas I'm currently on track for a 32d cycle now so literally an extra week added in that I've got to deal with!
