@Tropicana1 sorry about AF 😢

@Chellooo haha great timing!! 😂

Changingdirections · 17/06/2022 12:27

Hi all, just wanted to pop back on to let you guys know one of my friends who's been trying to conceive for nearly a year has fallen pregnant straight away when she started using preseed lubricant. I recommended it to her after it worked for me so well worth giving it a go if you haven't already tried that.
I'm nearly 8 weeks now so feeling a little less worried. Early scan next weekend for some reassurance 🤞
Good luck to everybody ❤️

HS99 · 18/06/2022 21:01

Hi all, hope everyone’s well, I’m CD20 but no idea where I am in terms of DPO. I have a regular 31 day cycle and decided to do ovulation tests, none which have been obviously positive (some quite strong). Now I’ve been getting a metallic/sour taste in my mouth since yesterday..I’m so confused and tired of trying to figure out what’s going on 😂

HS99 · 18/06/2022 21:03

@Changingdirections ooh I did start to use Preseed this cycle! Fingers crossed

MamaSJ15 · 19/06/2022 16:40

Hello, I've been a bit quiet as I'm away for a long weekend at the internet is non existent in the caravan 😂 just sitting outside as the sun has come out for the first time since getting here but it's still chilly! Think AF is coming to an end so next week should be my fertile period, not gonna stress about it, will just see what happens. I had a bit of a breakdown this morning and just cried for a bit. We've been so busy with so much recently and the miscarriage and id had a couple of bad nights of sleep and a cranky 3 year old and I feel like I'd not had time to let any emotion out so it all came flooding out at once! Hoping for a better night's sleep tonight and a reset ready for back to work on Tuesday.
How's everyone doing?

alwaysseeingstars · 20/06/2022 08:43

@Changingdirections thanks for the recommendation - always interested to hear what works for people! 😊
@HS99 fingers crossed that's a good sign!!
@MamaSJ15 sorry to hear you were upset but hopefully a good cry was cathartic?
CD18 for me today, day 4 of flashy smiles (only using them EOD though as I now know mine takes ages) but very low results on premom/cheap opks. Hopefully will be an increase over the next few days 😊

How is everyone doing?

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 10:52

@alwaysseeingstars patiently waiting for a IC to tell me what I already know. My boobs aren't taking it well😂..they are rock hard and twice the size (sigh)

Hopefully you get your static smiley soon ❤️

alwaysseeingstars · 20/06/2022 11:40

@MrsGrealish oh my gosh, still waiting? That's so odd for an early miscarriage (please don't take that as me thinking it's any easier with the timing, I know from how I felt after the CP it hurts like hell at any stage!) just that I would've thought the HCG and symptoms would drop quite quickly. I will however admit I know very little about these things!! Do you have any more appointments with the GP/EPU? xx

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 11:51

@alwaysseeingstars apparently it's 'my age' that can cause the slow drop🙄🙄
I think the boob thing might be a mix of this and pms though given I ovulated last week. They are defo fading but it's it's still positive next week have to ring epu. I'm hoping for AF this weekend 🙏

alwaysseeingstars · 20/06/2022 15:18

@MrsGrealish ah that's true, such an odd time for your poor body!! Fingers crossed for you 😊

alwaysseeingstars · 20/06/2022 16:02

@RMS0209 how are you doing? have you managed to get anything further from the GP?

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 16:24

@RMS0209 I'm sorry I've been a bad online friend I've been too wrapped up in my own drama these past weeks😕 hope you are getting some answers from the blood work and scans? Xx

MamaSJ15 · 20/06/2022 18:05

@alwaysseeingstars thank you, yes I guess I did feel better after a cry!
Feel like this AF has dragged a bit but should be gone by tomorrow now, feel thankful to have had it early to be honest to get on to the next cycle, tests are now negative so all HCG out of my system.
@MrsGrealish I can't believe yours are still testing positive, how old are you if you don't mind me asking?

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 18:18

@MamaSJ15 I turned 40 the day of the massive bleed 😩 (27 May) I did an FRER today and it's faint but there.

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 18:24

There's a tiny bit of tissue left. The doctor hopes it will come away with next AF then dear god hopefully all tests will be negative @MamaSJ15

MamaSJ15 · 20/06/2022 19:51

@MrsGrealish that's mad, I can't believe how long it's taking. Fingers crossed it's all gone soon, this must be so hard to deal with. Why would they say your age would make a difference?

RMS0209 · 20/06/2022 19:59

Hi lovely ladies! @alwaysseeingstars @MrsGrealish
Thanks for checking in

Hey @MrsGrealish don't you dare you have had enough going on!!!

I am cycle day 7 I only had a 5 day AF visit this month delighted.

Not much to report, have a face to face app (finally) with my GP tomorrow so pushing for my referral to the fertility clinic in my city rather than down in Glasgow (3+hrs away!)
Private clinic consultation is on 4th.
I am however away in 2 days for a long weekend to France with my OH... I cannot wait! A break from the world no peeing on sticks go me Bear (I say this but I bet I pack them) haha

How are you both?
Xx

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 20:33

@RMS0209 nice to hear from you!! So glad you're getting a fab holiday with your OH. Eat croissants, pastries and loads of escargots 😂 and no peeing on sticks. That can wait! Meant to say feel free to PM me if you need any advice on meds, vitamins, thrush..im no expert but I'll do my best to help Xx

@MamaSJ15 I honestly don't know 🤷‍♀️ I was so exhausted at the time I didn't question it. I'm an older mum yes but I've had 3 healthy pregnancies granted a while ago now. It's obviously the tiny bit of tissue and I just hope my next AF sheds it 🙏

RMS0209 · 20/06/2022 21:13

@MrsGrealish
Hello! Sorry I was keeping a low profile was away in my own little world.
How are you getting on?
Saw the test you uploaded... what a time, sending you big hugs.
I cannot wait! A fab holiday filled with all the pastries I can find and all the piggy food.. diet can start when I come home!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that offer to message you.. (I'll hold you to it)
I have my GP tomorrow so hopefully get my referral in soonest, I rattle if you shake me now with all my supplements 😬😂 x

MamaSJ15 · 20/06/2022 21:36

@MrsGrealish how old are your children? Hopefully it does, you'd think it would wouldn't you.

I thought I'd throw this out there... I suffer with anxiety and I do struggle quite a lot at times. I saw a therapist a few times before Christmas and even had hypnotherapy (for a specific fear/anxiety) but it didn't work so I'm trying someone different, have a consultation with her on Saturday morning. Does anyone else deal with anxiety?

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 22:09

@RMS0209 I've just polished off my 3rd cornetto today and I don't even have a holiday to blame 🙈 good luck with the GP tomorrow a good doctor can make the world of difference xx

@MamaSJ15 yes I have anxiety and have been given sertraline in the past (not for me, awful brain zaps like an electric shock in my head), I wouldn't go near a drug like that again although I know it can work well for others. Currently use beta blockers for the physical symptoms and a breathing app on my iWatch. It's hateful. During covid my anxiety went through the roof and I had a few consultations with a therapist but it was over the phone and I couldn't relate to her or open up at all xx
Anyway, I have 2DS 22 and 20 and 1DD just turned 16 and doing her GCSEs.

Why am I doing this again? An unplanned pregnancy over a year ago which ended in miscarriage at just over 8 weeks and it pretty much destroyed me (I had seen the heartbeat at 6 weeks) we started trying in January (DH finally agreed). After this miscarriage, I don't class it as over until I get my negative, I'm not sure how he will feel 😕

I'm sure you're sorry you asked now 😅

MamaSJ15 · 20/06/2022 22:37

@MrsGrealish thank you for sharing your experience, I know it's not easy. I used to suffer with SAD over the winter months which just made the anxiety worse except this got a lot better when I was pregnant with my DD and then afterwards too, only really had a few spells of anxiety that didn't last too long, until last year. My anxiety is based around my phobia (the therapist i saw diagnosed it as a phobia) of vomit. My DD had 3 sickness bugs in the space of 6 weeks late last year and the anxiety was crippling. She was then okay for a good while, but has since had another 2 (I know kids are going to get sick). And now anything that remotely makes me think she might be poorly sets me off, she is currently in bed but we're struggling to cool her room down so it's hot and she has a cold and is coughing. She's unsettled and it's putting me right on edge, I wouldn't be so bad except before bed she said 'when I was a baby I was sick in my bed'. I mean, why do toddlers just come out with these random things?! Anxiety is exhausting.

Oh wow, good on you for trying for another with your youngest being 16. I think I'd struggle with a newborn even now and my DD is only 3 😂

Sorry for the essay 🙈

MrsGrealish · 20/06/2022 22:59

@MamaSJ15 oh she sounds adorable!! It's just random stories like this that make my ovaries twitch (not the sickness just her telling you mummy I was sick on my bed all matter of fact) I'm with you on the vomit/sickness. I sat on the stairs all night long listening to my little DD cough one night. And when my DS threw up an entire pizza I rang my DH at work to come home and help🙈

Mmm maybe the world is trying to tell me something...

MamaSJ15 · 21/06/2022 08:37

@MrsGrealish 😂 bless her she can adorable when she wants to be!
Oh no that sounds horrific! I probably would have done the same thing 😂

I think if you weren't supposed to have any more then your body wouldn't allow you to get pregnant in the first place, but it has. Your body is looking out for you, this pregnancy wasn't going to be a viable one so it removed it (better to happen early isn't it), but when the right one happens, then it'll stick 😊 I've always said it will happen when the time is right. I'm trying to trust my body to know what it's doing 😂 although I do question it at times haha.

MrsGrealish · 21/06/2022 12:48

@MamaSJ15 yep I think you are spot on there. The pregnancy felt crampy very early almost like my body was rejecting it. Better now than later Xx
