Hoping for a June BFP 💖🌷💖

Hi everyone, thought if start a new thread for those of us heading into another cycle and hoping for a BFP in June 🤞 I was on the May thread briefly but decided to pause TTC after two early miscarriages this year. Was actually lovely to have a break 😅 but excited to try again this month. CD 1 for me today!

I have a beautiful 20 month old daughter already.

Hopefully we can all keep each other company on this rollercoaster! X

I'm cd14 and still no positive OPK. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I've had covid (became unwell 10 days go). It's been quite mild but still testing positive today.

Has anyone had any experience with ovulation and covid?

@Dia12 not exactly with covid but the third covid vaccine did alter my cycle. It settled down after 3 months.

@Dia12 Not quite covid, but I’ve had a cold around ovulation time for the last few cycles (thanks to DD starting childcare - joys!) and each time it’s pushed my ovulation back by up to a week. I’d normally ovulate about day 14 but have waited until day 20/21 when unwell. Quite clever really as I don’t massively feel like dtd when feeling ill, so my body waits!

7/8 dpo today 😬 have been v chilled about the first week, as I wouldn’t expect anything, but now I’m counting down the days!

How’s everyone else in the tww doing?

@Dia12 I've also heard covid pushing ovulation back from other threads so I wouldn't be surprised.

I’m planning on holding off until June 1st, as then I’ll be 10/11dpo. In both of my previous pregnancies I knew that I was pregnant before I tested (from how I felt), so I think if I don’t feel pregnant I might not bother until next weekend as I’m pretty sure it will be a nope if I don’t feel it. When are you going to test? I both love and hate this bit!

@Dia12 not quite covid but I had the booster near to ovulation abs I'm just hoping it's not played with my cycles! Seems reasonable that covid or a cold would delay tho! I think travelling/holidays can delay too

Iv had covid 4 times I also wondered if responsible for cycle changes the vaccines do I know this

3dpo and still have soooo much cm 🤔 past 3 days it’s loads like I keep checking incase bleeding had right pelvis pain today I’m thinking did I o twice 🤷‍♀️ It’s been a week since dtd so nothing will come of that one if so 🤣 think I’m being very optimistic thinking I’m in this month as it is

@Hopefulprincess may be worth DTD tonight just in case! If you’re still getting Ewcm you may be ovulating now as it failed initially

Yes I had covid last month and I ovulated cd20 instead of expected 16/17, my cycle then lasted an extra 2 days when I've always been clockwork! This is common apparently with covid and the vaccine too x

They confirmed o on Thursday at the hospital

Cd10 so 2 days earlier than normal

CD11 today, OPK still negative although looked slightly darker today. Usually ovulate between CD11-15, most commonly CD13.
had lots of EWCM today, just home from work and had pink/red spotting on wiping mixed with CM. Random. Also about 10seconds of sharp right sided groin pain. Super random. I know ovulation spotting/bleeds are a thing albeit less common but with a neg OPK not sure it can be that

How’s everyone getting on? Anyone close to testing this week?

I’m due on today/tomorrow/Tuesday. Technically tomorrow but sometimes a day earlier or a day later. We weren’t trying this month though so I’m hoping for some good news this time next month. I think I have a short LP (unless I come on a few days later this month) so expecting to be in it for the long haul though. Was my first month tracking so not sure if it’s all going to be a few days late or a short LP yet as a couple times a year I do have a cycle that’s 2/3 days longer than my average 26/27 days

Thanks for your replies everyone. It does make sense that your body would delay ovulation when under stress of an infection like covid.

I'm cd15 and still negative opks. Will try to dtd every other day over the next week or so and see how we go.

Does anyone have any nice plans over the jubilee holiday?

I am 10DPO today, hoping to test Wednesday if I can hold off that long.

Did you get a positive OPK? You could judge how long your luteal phase is from then until when you get your period.

@QueenBee22 yep I tracked this month for the first time before we start ttc after my period so I could get an idea. It’s why I’m thinking I’m either going to come on my period 2/3 days later this month (which happens a couple times a year) or I’ve got a short LP. My cycles are only average 27 days (sometimes 26 sometimes 28) and I peaked overnight on CD17 so it’s going to be one or the other. Hopefully just a slightly longer cycle this month as a short LP does worry me

OPKs are frustrating me again.. I can never seem to get a peak. Anyone know if it’s possible my peak is only a few hours so I keep missing it?

Have you tried twice a day, for extra precaution I would be tempted to test from cd7 throughout your cycle incase you are ovulating earlier or later than you initially thought?

@Summerbreeze111 no I’ve only been doing it once a day so maybe that’s why I miss it. My cycles are roughly 31 days so I do tend to get almost a peak around day 16 just like this month

@allgoodthings84 if you search the forum here some people have taken supplements to lengthen their luteal phase. I have no experience of it myself but you may be able to find something that suits you.
