Newbies welcome too! Just a bunch of lovely ladies going through a tough time TTC and having a good old time venting and supporting one another 😊

Just had confirmation by progestrone level is 54 so I definitely ovulated! Not that that's a surprise as I always ovulate 😂 but guess that means I stick at 2.5mg letrozole for the next few months.

Just did some googling... has anyone else had progestrone tested in their luteal phase? Check out this image... why the hell do I have 54 😂 that seems ridiculously high! No wonder my boobs are bloody agony!

@BritInNZ That does seem high! I thought mine was high at 46 .. progesterone is the only one that didn’t have a range next to it of what’s normal though … surely can only be a good thing? X

@BritInNZ - mine was 68 when i had mine done a few months back 🤷‍♀️

@BritInNZ were your results in ng/ml as in the picture you uploaded? My results are in nmol/L. Not sure about the conversation though!

@BritInNZ - i am sure that equates to like 120nmol so is high! Maybe if you ovulate more than one egg its higher as more progesterone from another corpus luteum x

@NatW2021 ah yes I has two dominant follicles at the my scan so the high result must be related to that! I was like 'oh man what else is wrong with me' 😂😂

@BritInNZ ah makes sense if you have more than one dominant follicles. Good luck for this weekend. Hope AF stays away!

Ladies I've just had my first appointment with the consultant. She went through the protocol and my first nurse appointment has been booked for next week. I would be able to start downreg beginning of August if all goes well. They first need to do an AFC at the beginning of next cycle as it's too late for this cycle now. We'll still try naturally this cycle. Really excited to be starting soon.

@Tinkerbell098 thank you - already at the stage where I keep checking my undies waiting for AF 😭

Amazing news! Must feel so good to know you might just be around the corner from being pregnant and having the longed for baby in your arms! What's an AFC? 😊 how's your partner feeling about it all too?

@Tinkerbell098 omg that’s so exciting! Not long to wait now and so nice to start in the summer I feel like when the weather is good everything is a bit easier.

@BritInNZ hopefully related to the two eggs but yes I suspect it is connected to the sore boobs. So I had normal progesterone naturally but it’s protocol in the UK to give progesterone pessaries and I took two a day every day. They made my boobs sore and me so bloated but they said to me it doesn’t matter you can’t have too much. Not sure if same applies in TTC as pregnancy but just thought I’d share in case useful

@BritInNZ Oh no! I hate that stage of checking every half an hour LOL! Yes it is exciting although I was feeling very nervous before and during the appointment. It's a lot of information and so overwhelming. OH is also excited and is thinking of taking some time off around when it all kickstarts so he can support me more (he's usually a very busy man and some weeks, I barely see him). AFC is antral follicle count. They need to check if I've got 5 or more follicles at the start of any cycle so they can proceed with the long protocol. If not, they will have to check for another two months and then review. So once that scan is out of the way, I can start downreg on CD21 of that same cycle.

@Carla2601 yes summer is generally a happy time for me. Loads of distractions in August as well (our wedding anniversary, close family members' birthdays, OH's 40th party which I'm organising and his actual birthday weekend which falls on the bank holiday weekend). So pretty much every weekend we'll be busy with things. Hope all that will keep me occupied and not obsess over everything. But also hope I won't get too stressed with everything going on. One thing the consultant said was all the scans and egg collection happens only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I forgot to ask about embryo transfer, hope they're more flexible with that.

@Tinkerbell098 great to be distracted id say! Yes they are so let’s say (this won’t happen to you but it does occasionally happen) your embryos weren’t looking so great and you’d had collection on Wednesday they’d say 3 transfer them on Saturday I think (that’s what happened at my clinic) but normally say collection is weds then transfer is Monday as day one is the day after collection 👍🏻

@Carla2601 ah great, hope it's the same with my clinic that they're a bit more flexible when it comes to transfer day.

I've had a pregnancy announcement from my best friend this morning. I'm so happy for her, but at the same time I'm a little sad (please don't judge me!) but also hopeful I could perhaps share bit of the journey with her if I am successful with IVF first go. She's the only friend I have talked to about TTC and IVF so I do think it was a little hard for her to break the news to me, but she was nice about it and didn't just rub it in. I really do want this year to be a positive one, just feel like I've been a massive emotional wreck for over a year now, it's so so hard!

@Tinkerbell098 zero judgement - if anything you sound like you’re being a gem about the whole thing. Is she due at Christmas then? Or has she told you earlier pre scan? You don’t even need it to work first time (although of course I’m rooting for you) for them to be in the same school year and I’m sure they’ll be best pals regardless 😊😊😊

@Carla2601 Yes, either end of Dec or early Jan she said. It's funny as she's only found out about 2 weeks ago as she said she didn't get a period for about 2 months. She has PCOS, so it's not unusual for cycles to be that long so she hasn't thought much of it. Aww them being in the same school year sounds great. I'm too terrified to have that much hope as the disappointment will be much greater. But it's a nice thought nonetheless :)

@Tinkerbell098 so she probably has a similar timeline to me….it’s crazy when I’ve known since March that this could be it and since early April that it was to think there are people from the same cycle who didn’t know till June!! Ttc is so weird isn’t it.

well I’ll stay hopeful for that on your behalf….we’ve put it out to the universe as a thing now haven’t we 😊😊

Morning guys - I can't believe I'm writing this but I got my BFP 💕. I am completely shocked. In total disbelief. It's like a dream. I can't stop looking at the tests. I trying to enjoy every moment and not be too anxious.

I know these posts always create a mix of emotions and I'm so sorry if this makes any of you feel a bit sad. It really doesn't feel real. Xxxxx

I really hope it does. Other announcements on here have also given me hope even though we all have our individual issues. It was also second cycle after HSG... but also 5/6 months since my OH started Proxeed amongst everything else.

Feeling like it's a dream. Keep having to look at the tests.
