Hi all,

I'm new here so sorry if I don't know all the abbreviations.
I'm 33 and in month six of Ttc, just got negative test (yet again!). I'm just wondering how everyone copes with the two week window after ovulation. I'm usually a very relaxed person but since Ttc I'm so on edge with every twinge I feel.
We use ovulation sticks and my cycle is always pretty regular.
Any tips?
Thanks x

Hi @Carol34 I am also in the two week wait. I would love to give you the answer to relax but unfortunately I don’t think there is. You can try and keep busy and spend time doing nice things, but when you want something so badly and in tune with your body it’s hard not to obsess!
I have been trying to conceive since last August, unfortunately suffered two losses since then but still determined to push through which can be incredibly hard.
I’m tempted to even have a month not tracking ovulation if this month doesn’t work out, as I find that side also just as stressful!

Good luck to you and fingers crossed this month can be the month! ✨ xx

mrsmw132 · 27/03/2022 11:52

I’m also in my TWW- 3DPO
I’m 35, doing IUI (SSC) and on round 5. We had a MmC in December.
For the tww I’m knitting- keeping head and hands busy!
I’m a POaS addict, so this month decided to do OPK all the way through to track, and hopefully stop testing too early!

Walkinthesun · 28/03/2022 19:58

Hi everyone.
I'm also in the TWW.
9th month of TTC my second.
It's so horrible isn't it? We DTD 4 times in my fertile so I'm hoping this is enough. I'm on day 28 of my cycle (my last 2 cycles have been 32) so I'm not going to get my hopes up. Sick of the constant disappointment and heartbreak, staring at a negative test every month.

Sending baby dust to all ❤

mrsmw132 · 28/03/2022 20:07

@Walkinthesun when are you planning on testing! I have a feeling I'm going to be so bad this month with over testing 😂

Walkinthesun · 28/03/2022 20:40

@mrsmw132 I might wait till day 32. Last time I had spotting a couple of days before AF came on fully so if I don't have this, I'll test on day 32 🙈

PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 12:24

Hi everyone. Would love to join my first thread. TTC 21 cycles now. I'm nearly 39. Had chemical last August and early miscarriage in November.
Currently 5dpo but still poas today and have line eyes although I'm sure dpo is correct so couldn't be possible yet. Once again i've failed in my 'new relaxed attitude'

PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 12:28

Just for fun, here's the pic from this morning

Hi guys, can I join? ;)
I’m 7dpo today. We have been ttc for over a year, closer to a year and a half now. 🥺
I started Clomid this cycle and I was full of hope with all the cramps and bloating in the beggining of my tww, but all the symptoms are gone now. And so is the hope. 😬

PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 12:35

It's so hard trying for so long isn't it @lilrosemarie
My OH isn't too keen on moving forward with the doctors to get tests etc but has said we will go of we aren't successful this month. I don't have time on my side being so old!!!
I've been scanned and all looks ok but looking forward to have thorough checks and maybe start on clomid or just something to feel like we are making progress.
Do you have any DC already?

lilrosemarie · 29/03/2022 12:40

@PennyPencils no, we don’t have any children yet. We are both 29 and only now started to plan a family. We do want more children, though … but after a year and a half we will be happy if we at least have one 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

At my latest scan gp said everything looks normal (no cysts or anything seen in my uterus), and my husband had his SA a few days ago. We are waiting for the results, but on the day of the SA the doctor said it looked good when she put a few drops under the microscope and showed them to us. Haha. They were moving at least 😂 we will get more information this week, though.

I may see something on that test of yours, but that’s really early for 5dpo. I don’t know if you can implant that early 🙈 but everything is possible, maybe you ovulated early …

PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 12:48

You have a bit more time which is nice. I start to panic and almost give up. I never wanted to be an older mum. I have a 15yo from a previous relationship but my partner has none and we would both very much like to have our own.
I think it's the SA putting him off. A bit shy bless him. Needs must!! 😂
I think the test maybe got knocked in the packet or something there's just no way. I'll of course do another one this evening as I know I won't resists!
I've been throwing everything st this for the last 4 months. BBT tracking, opks, checking cervix, researching vitamins and eating super healthy. Oh and of course BD in fertile window lots...Can't do any more naturally!

mrsmw132 · 29/03/2022 14:14

@PennyPencils I'm sorry for your loss, that must have been hard.
I'm also 5dpo today and am feeling rough. I had a terrible month last cycle with indents.
We are hopeful this month. I don't know how to hold off and even more so how not to be disappointed if it fails.
Attached my Premom chart for this month so far!

Ttc, two week wait...
PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 15:03

After so long trying it felt too good to be true to be honest so I bounced back quickly. Then had COVID so waited two months for really long cycles. The wait is long enough already!!
I've had some bad batches at the start with endless indents never getting dark. Mentally so so exhausting.
Here's my gf chart so far.
I'm actually excited this month. I've been lurking since I started ttc on these threads and I'm finally brave enough to join in.
I hope we are all lucky in April ❤️

PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 15:04

FF chart, not gf chart soz

PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 15:04

Damn it! Forgot to @mrsmw132

mrsmw132 · 29/03/2022 17:40

@Lifeafterloss22 how are you getting on?

@PennyPencils
Not that I'm symptom spotting...I'm always symptom spotting.
Today is 5dpo.
I'm crampy, nauseous, loads of saliva (tmi).

I have been having stess dreams. All about taking tests.

Please let this be the month for our rainbow baby x

PennyPencils · 29/03/2022 18:11

Bless you @Carol34 you wanted tips on coping with the tww and I'm not a good influence with obsessive testing and symptom spotting.
Even after 21 months I'm convinced it's the month every time. And it hits me hard when I'm not for a day or so every time.

I do genuinely feel more relaxed about the outcome this month because I know we'll get some tests next month so I have that to fall back on sort of.

@mrsmw132 ah I'm 5dpo too.
Definitely have mild cramps and abdomen feels tender. Think that's the same as last month though so not feeling sure about this month. 😬

mrsmw132 · 30/03/2022 07:59

So as a POAS addict I'm still testing my Lh this month and it took a nose dive. I'm hoping tomorrow when I will be 7dpo that I will start to see it rise.
This month is stretching my patience to the max!!

PennyPencils · 30/03/2022 09:02

@mrsmw132 these few days before testing is possible I find the longest.
Distract distract distract! Of course I POAS again and nothing there now. That's good as super early implantation couldn't be a good thing Smile

mrsmw132 · 30/03/2022 19:47

So this morning I had a massive dip in my LH- it went down to 0.01 - this afternoon it's at 0.4! Hopefully this might be the start of a rise!!

Lifeafterloss22 · 30/03/2022 20:11

I’m out this month, tested today (12dpo) and not even a squint of a line. Got really bad cramps and a breakout of spots so AF will be here in a matter of days 🙄. Needed to test today because I’ve got a wedding tomorrow and didn’t want to feel guilty having a Prosecco!

Onto April, usually just stick with OPK but going to try and familiarise myself with BBT.

Good luck everyone x

PennyPencils · 30/03/2022 20:56

@Lifeafterloss22 when I managed to get pregnant in November I was really far on before I could say I had a line. You never know.
I have to coach myself into expecting AF every time towards the end and I get so caught up in testing for a line, I forgot that I might just not be.. every time!

PennyPencils · 30/03/2022 20:58

@mrsmw132 ah that's what the chart is. How does it measure your LH? Is it from pics of your opks? Do you temp?

mrsmw132 · 30/03/2022 21:02

@PennyPencils I use the easy@home kits. You open the camera on the testing app and it measures it.

I am going for a day 21 blood draw tomorrow.

When I was pregnant in Nov, my day 21 draw had a 48! I'm so nervous that tomorrows one is not as much.

mrsmw132 · 30/03/2022 21:03

@PennyPencils meant to post this for you
