Hello ladies!

I’ve been reading these threads (at all hours clearly!) I just wondered if anyone was currently in their 2WW and wanted to join me? It’s so long!! I’m ttc number 2, have a 4 year old son, fell first time with him luckily so certainly not expecting the same this time round. This is our first cycle. I’m only using an app not any ovulation sticks so not sure how many days po I am, but According to app fertile window ended yesterday. AF due 21st I only have 24/25 day cycles since coming off my pill.

Anywhoo no symptoms yet as too early! I’ve had ovulation cramps and a few nights of very intense dreams. I think the only symptoms I can remember pre bfp with my son was really really sore boobs, couldn’t bare a bra on!! And really tired.

Please people join me to symptom spot and keep each other company during the 2WW.

@ANP2020 I am sorry you got a negative test, it’s so disheartening. Feel free to rant as much as possible! it’s what we are here for and I know it’s difficult to talk to other people about it. I’ve come to the conclusion that all the stuff I’ve done to help really don’t do anything haha. I suppose it helps me feel like I’ve got some control, but other than dtd it’s out of your hands. I hope you’re ok and can have a nice evening relaxing to make you feel better.

@pinkpirlie you are doing amazingly well with the weight loss. It’s such an achievement. Yes we are cycle buddies! I’ll update next week when I have some news about it. I’m sorry that the fertility doctor hasn’t called back.. I hope they do so you can get some answers. I understand re coming to a decision after a round of ivf, it’s incredibly hard and it’s something I don’t want to think about either - I guess just got to stay positive and hope some good luck comes our way.

I am about 5dpo and basically feel the same as normal. I haven’t really thought about it at all as every waking moment has been with the sale - still no news. It’s sort of out of my control at the moment (like ttc!). So I suppose it’s good I’ve been distracted and not paying attention to every twinge in my body, which I’m pretty sure I just imagine every month haha. At least the Christmas break is coming up and I’ll be very happy to see the back of this year - it’s been phenomenally tough. New year brings new hope with it.

Annapolis35 · 08/12/2022 20:04

@pinkpirlie i meant blood test buddies! I am really losing it over here… I need to go to sleep for a long time.

pinkpirlie · 12/12/2022 23:32

I've got all my test results now on the NHS App, but haven't heard from the doctor yet. Have you heard anything yet @Annapolis35 ?

My progesterone was 23.9. how has that compared to those of you who have discussed your results with a doctor? @Shaker21 I know you have spoke to the fertility person and the doctor who had different views.

I also have low B12 (60 pmol/l - normal 133 to 675) which having googled sounds like it can cause temporary infertility.

I have also sent an email to the fertility clinic about how frustrating it is I haven't heard anything from them in over a year. So hopefully will hear from them soon.

I'm now CD24 and pms symptoms in full swing. Painful boobs and very emotional. I have had an awful cold too, which wiped me out for 4 days probably hasn't helped my emotional state 🤣
Pretty sure I'm out for the year.

Shaker21 · 13/12/2022 05:30

Hey @pinkpirlie

Your progesterone results is it in pg/ml or pmol/ml or something like that? It can be measured in two ways.

Annapolis35 · 13/12/2022 07:07

@pinkpirlie Sorry to hear you have a cold and pms is in full swing. I hope you’re ok, it is horrible.

I haven’t got my test results back yet as I live in Scotland and we don’t have the nhs app, so I have to call the gp to get an appointment as the receptionist will only say ‘they’re satisfactory’ or vice versa. I will do that today and get back to you once I’ve spoken to a gp. Scotlands nhs is quite behind in terms of IT.

I am CD 29 and AF due tomorrow or Thursday. I’ve felt quite crampy the past few days so think it’s on its way.

ANP2020 · 13/12/2022 08:11

Hey @pinkpirlie my progesterone was 21.9 this time testing it. It unfortunately means you likely haven’t ovulated they like to to be over 30 to confirm ovulation.

however the last doctor told me you might have ovulated but it was like a weak ovulation but they can’t say so advised to recheck it.

did they check your eostrogen? So I think I’m in eostrogen dominance so it’s overpowering the progesterone. They need to be perfectly balanced for ovulation.

the positive news I heard was as for me this was the only thing out this was the the thing fertility clinics can help with!! As this is when they prescribe clomid etc to encourage the ovulation

Shaker21 · 13/12/2022 08:37

I think it does depend if its measured the result in pg/ml or pmol/ml...

When mine was tested I got told over 10 for me confirmed ovulation but it was on the lower side so was a weak ovulation/weak egg which is why I've been prescribed letrozole.

pinkpirlie · 13/12/2022 09:04

Shaker21 · 13/12/2022 05:30

Hey @pinkpirlie

It's in Pmol.

pinkpirlie · 13/12/2022 09:06

@Shaker21 sorry that should have said nmol not pmol

pinkpirlie · 13/12/2022 09:19

@Annapolis35 good luck speaking to your surgery today.
Hope you get some answers.
Has your house purchase gone through now? I'm really hoping you're all moved in after all the stresses you've had.

@ANP2020 they didn't do eostrogen this time as far as I know. I think they may have done that earlier this year but those results don't show in the app as they were done via the fertility clinic. I need to go pick up a print out of them from the surgery, but it's in a different town to where I live and haven't had chance to go.
Attached are all the results I got this time. Unless there are more that haven't appeared yet.

I'm wondering whether to just bite the bullet and speak to a private fertility clinic to do some more tests and find out for sure if there is anything wrong as the NHS one is just taking it's time and is a bit of a shambles- I had to ask the doctor for the progesterone test the clinic didn't offer it.
I know I need to lose weight for IVF but there has to be a reason it isn't happening naturally or more I can do other than just lose weight.

If I do actual IVF privately I'm going to go abroad, probably to Poland, as I have a good friend who will be able to help me. She's Polish and had successful IVF there after two unsuccessful rounds on the NHS. She says it was significantly cheaper than UK clinics and they take a different approach to how they do the IVF (not that I can remember what that is now!).

@pinkpirlie yeah so my GP had said that my 19.2 pmol/L was over 10 so confirmed ovulation, my following month was 32.2 pmol/L and the fertility consultant had said that I have ovulated but was a weaker/egg quality ovulation so wants to increase the quality which will increase the progesterone or something along them lines....I am just trusting what he says and going with it if it helps 🤞🏻👍🏻

Annapolis35 · 13/12/2022 19:24

@pinkpirlie we have still not got house news I’m afraid. Getting so frustrated and stressed by it. We are at the point now of telling them we are gonna remarket it. I just had a big cry as it just feels like a lot but it is good to get it out of my system. I just had a bit of spotting today, guessing I’m 10dpo and am sure it’s AF arriving (definitely not implantation!) so I think I cried about that too. My AF would’ve been due on Thursday. I’m a bit concerned my luteal phase seems to be getting shorter? Must be the stress of this all I think. Would’ve been nice to have some good news to end the year on. I’m going to curl up on the sofa and watch some comfort tv and eat chocolate tonight.

I’ve got a phone call with the gp on Friday to discuss my results so will let you know what mine said. I’ll call the receptionist tomorrow to see whether they’re satisfactory or unsatisfactory. seems similar to @Shaker21 ? So ovulating but could be a stronger ovulation? And the B12 seems like it’s easy to fix? Are you going to speak to the gp about it?

pinkpirlie · 14/12/2022 13:51

@Annapolis35 so sorry you're not in your new home. What a palaver you're having.

I'm CD26 and started spotting today too, so I'm with you on the shortening cycle.
I've had a bad cold the past week so it may have something to do with that.
Just upset it's another year gone by and still no baby, I just feel defeated now. I can't see me losing enough weight in time, I have one not even that bad meal and weeks and week of effort are reversed in one go.

I can't get an appointment now with the doctor until January, I'm booked on 3/1. In the interim I've research B12 high foods and I've bought some fortified cereal and B12 rich vegetables.

Sounds like all of us are getting similar progesterone results. Will be interesting to see what the different doctors say. Mine seems completely disinterested in helping until I lose weight. Sigh!

Annapolis35 · 14/12/2022 16:24

@pinkpirlie my solicitor imposed a deadline today so we should know end of next week regardless. So unduly stressful!

sorry about your shortening cycle too, stress and illness really mucks up the body. My AF hasn’t properly started yet, it’s due tomorrow but the spotting was a bit of a giveaway as that does happen from time to time. I called the receptionist at GP surgery and all she would tell me was “consistent for ovulation”. No idea what the number was but I’ll let you know when I find out, but that is reassuring to hear really.

know exactly what you mean about the end of year. It’s really tough when you think it should’ve happened by now. I feel exactly the same. This cold weather doesn’t help my mood either. Sounds like we are all struggling a bit. Have you looked at b vitamins too? That should give a boost.

so sorry about the weight loss as well. You’ve done so well and please be proud of yourself for that, it’s not easy at all.

Shaker21 · 15/12/2022 11:40

Hey guys,

I am currently 3DPO but not expecting anything different this cycle going off of GP/fertility consultant saying about weak ovulation. I will be due AF Xmas Day which is great haha! I am thinking I will kind of be ok about it because I have already thought it wont happen and I know as soon as i start AF it means I will be able to start the Letrozole on Boxing Day till the 30th so feeling better for that.

Glad to hear you have a time frame on your house sale now @Annapolis35 Fingers crossed you hear something and it is good news about it all. What time is your phone appointment with the GP tomorrow? Did AF show yet today?

@pinkpirlie Any update from your side with AF arriving? I know how you are feeling about it being another year gone and feeling like nothing has happened or should have happened by now, I have been feeling exactly the same. Have you managed to speak to anyone yet about your progesterone level?

@ANP2020 How are you getting on?

Annapolis35 · 15/12/2022 12:35

So glad you are positive after the consultant appointment @Shaker21 and you have a way forward. Really pleased for you and yeah AF starting on Christmas is a bit crap! But at least you can have a drink and will be occupied on the day. My AF hasn’t fully arrived yet, but TMI had some brown discharge so it will appear soon as that’s normally first appearance. my rhr on Fitbit has stayed elevated though but I am sure that’s just stress so I’ve been ignoring it

Annapolis35 · 16/12/2022 22:42

Hi ladies. My AF arrived right on time yesterday but I’m okay about it, just keep plodding on. It’s always a relief when it finally arrives after wondering if it will or won’t.

I don’t know what my number was for the blood test but told by GP it was over 30 and a “perfect bill of health” so I’ll leave it at that and not worry about it. I am likely having to take next month off as I have been called back to the hospital for treatment on my cervix next Friday so think we won’t be able to try due to infection risk, but I’ll see what they say about it. In a way it’s probably good for me to have a mental rest from thinking about my cycle constantly for a month and then go into it with a fresh head in February. Time always seems of the essence though… but I am sure one month doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

we got a lot of snow today! My husband had a snow day and it has been quite lovely. There must be about a foot here. Also had some tentatively positive news about the house but will be confirmed next week, fingers crossed.

Shaker21 · 17/12/2022 09:06

Morning @Annapolis35

Sorry to hear AF arrived but glad you are feeling ok about it. That's really good that your GP confirmed the bloods for you and so happy they all seem to be ok. I completely understand what you mean by timing and makes you think skipping a month is just delaying it possibly happening however I agree mentally I think it can do a world of good to have a month just not thinking about it. A snow day sounds nice, we was lucky we got a fair amount overnight Sunday so my husband and I had a nice snow day Monday just gone which was nice, ours is still around but not as much and is just really cold and icy but meant to be warming up a bit over the next few days thank god!

Have a lovely weekend everyone. x

pinkpirlie · 18/12/2022 12:48

Hi all,

My AF also arrived properly Friday so almost over now and can start to think about next month.
Hopefully will be a bit easier with it being Xmas and DP being off work.

@Annapolis35 sorry AF arrived too. We have really synced up! Glad the progesterone was right so that's another thing to tick of the issues list. Have you been referred yet?
A month off sounds like a plan, hopefully help recentre you and give you some space to work through the emotional elements of it all, and focus on (hopefully, keeping everything crossed) your new home.

I'm jealous of everyone getting snow. We never get much where we are. We are in a river valley with several ranges of hills nearby and they get all the snow. Unless it's a big drop we rarely get any. It's cold though. Not that we would get a snow day as we both work predominantly from home still.

@Shaker21 My doctor appointment isn't until 3rd January so nothing will happen until then. I've been having a bowl of all bran every morning which apparently was the best for B12, and I've ordered some vitamins to take too. Hopefully that will help my levels.

I've got a really odd rash all over my abdomen for the past 2 weeks that isn't going. it isn't raised and doesn't itch. It's just loads of largish red patches in no particular shape or pattern. So that's another thing to discuss with the doctor. No idea if it's related to my bloods.

@Shaker21
I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle and that you don't have to start on your meds!!

@Annapolis35 good luck with your treatment on your cervix. I know it's all scary and we are with you in spirit wishing you well. X

Annapolis35 · 18/12/2022 18:20

@Shaker21 so glad it’s warming up now too! Will be nice to go outside without 3 jumpers on haha.

yes absolutely will be good for my head to have a break, especially over Christmas and to just switch off from everything! Thank you @pinkpirlie about the cervix treatment, you’re very sweet. I was a bit worried it might affect preg or ttc so will ask the doctor about it on Friday and see. They haven’t really told me much about what will happen, but it’s important to get treatment.

I was thinking about your rash, I have very sensitive skin and get rashes all the time over so many things - might it be a viral infection? Calamine lotion always helps me. Also could it be due to a hot water bottle? I had one on my legs which was because of that and has started to disappear when I stopped putting a bottle on it - sort of looks like lace but wasn’t raised. Xx

Shaker21 · 22/12/2022 06:54

Morning guys....

How is everyone?

@ANP2020 How are you doing? Haven't heard from you in a while. What CD are you now? How you feeling?

@Annapolis35 How are you feeling about tomorrow? How is everything else? Have you heard anything about the house stuff yet?

@pinkpirlie How are you getting on? Have you finished AF now and ready to go into your fertile window?

@Hjudge56 How are you getting on? How did your scan go a couple of weeks ago?

Annapolis35 · 23/12/2022 15:17

Hey @Shaker21 I had my treatment today and the procedure was fine but I found it very emotional as it was a hard way to end a very difficult year. It turns out the CIN was at the worst stage possible (CIN 3) and they did a LLETZ treatment, sort of a wire thing to remove the damage. I was quite hostile with the doctor for the letter not having any info on it. Anyway it’s good the treatments been done and I’ll get the results in 4-6 weeks to see whether I need further treatment or if they’ve removed it all - fingers crossed. We also exchanged on the house yesterday so that’s good. It’s been so stressful recently that I’m gonna step away for a little while to get myself well again and I can’t TTC until I’ve got the all clear. I’ve really struggled and have been on the verge of crying constantly for a little while and need some time to not think about anything at all so this Christmas I’ll be doing absolutely nothing. I haven’t even had time to buy any presents, ah well.

I hope none of your periods arrive and that you all have a wonderful Christmas xxxx

Hjudge56 · 23/12/2022 16:13

@Shaker21 all good my end thank you! Scan went fine.. I’m measuring 8 days behind what I thought so just have ovulated and implanted pretty late in my cycle!

I’ve been struggling very badly with vomiting so unfortunately I’ve been feeling quite down about that. I’ve been prescribed anti sickness medication safe for pregnancy but I think my body has been getting used to it

ANP2020 · 30/12/2022 14:52

Hello

hope you’ve all had a merry Christmas!!

how is everyone? So I have a horrific chest infection and I’m currently off work so because of that could only dtd once on cycle day 14 so already presume I’m out!

im certainly ready to say goodbye to this year!! I can’t wait! New year new hope and all that! Hopefully a year of BFPs all round xx
