Hello ladies!

I’ve been reading these threads (at all hours clearly!) I just wondered if anyone was currently in their 2WW and wanted to join me? It’s so long!! I’m ttc number 2, have a 4 year old son, fell first time with him luckily so certainly not expecting the same this time round. This is our first cycle. I’m only using an app not any ovulation sticks so not sure how many days po I am, but According to app fertile window ended yesterday. AF due 21st I only have 24/25 day cycles since coming off my pill.

Anywhoo no symptoms yet as too early! I’ve had ovulation cramps and a few nights of very intense dreams. I think the only symptoms I can remember pre bfp with my son was really really sore boobs, couldn’t bare a bra on!! And really tired.

Please people join me to symptom spot and keep each other company during the 2WW.

@pinkpirlie I imagine a food bug could cause that as it’s a lot of strain on your body. 13 pounds is a remarkable amount to lose in five weeks! Well done and great going. I’ve heard of loads of women getting positive tests the month after a cp, maybe it’s body’s way of preparing? Good luck!

sorry to hear AF arrived @Shaker21 hopefully this month will be brighter. I’m on day 14 so let’s see what this month brings. The past few months I’ve had long cycles with late ovulation (I think) so hope this one is shorter!

pinkpirlie · 07/08/2022 14:54

@Shaker21 sorry you weren't successful this month. Every month that goes by without the BFP is so hard. But I know one day we will get there.

@Annapolis35 I think the food poisoning helped with the substantial weight loss as, although I gained the weight back I lost from being sick, my appetite was massively affected and it really helped with reducing my portion sizes since then. I'm doing carb cycling to try and limit the impact on my energy levels and metabolism.
I don't think I will keep up this level of loss, but if I can lose the other 25lbs over the next 3 to 4 months I will be happy.
That will get me under the 29 BMI I need and in time to get treatment before I turn 40 and become ineligible due to age.

Annapolis35 · 13/08/2022 08:24

How are you both doing? @pinkpirlie @Shaker21 I got a peak OPK for first time since the miscarriage yesterday so ovulation is likely today - day 20 of my cycle - and we have been really going at it this past week! Guess we will dtd today and tomorrow just in case then have a break - I can rest well knowing we’ve tried our hardest lol! It’s a bit of a relief to see a peak. I got the flashing for 5 days

Shaker21 · 13/08/2022 08:43

Hi @Annapolis35! That so good you've had a peak! Bet you are over the moon to finally get one since the mc. That's good you've been doing lots of BD all week! Fingers crossed! How have you been feeling lately? I am on CD9 today so assuming entering fertile period over next couple of days, past 2 cycles I have ovulated CD14/15. Been having a fair amount of ovulation pain so definitely is gearing up for it. I am not tracking again after a couple of months of doing BBT only, decided to just go with it again, eating healthily and exercising few times a week and see what happens. :)

Annapolis35 · 13/08/2022 09:14

@Shaker21 Going with the flow sounds like a very sensible approach and exercise and eating healthy will help definitely. I feel okay, feel positive and hopeful but I always sort of feel that way at this time of the cycle. I’m trying to be a bit relaxed and I’m hoping over the 2ww I’ll feel more chilled. I don’t think I’ll be symptom spotting in first week as there’s basically no point biologically but the second week sure I’ll feel a bit more anxious. It helps work has been quite busy and the fringe is on up here so got lots of plans! How are you feeling?

pinkpirlie · 13/08/2022 11:08

@Annapolis35 sounds promising for you. Keeping everything crossed. Hope you manage to remain calm during the 2WW.

@Shaker21 have fun BDing ! Sounds like you're taking a sensible approach with the tracking, I too stopped as I found it less stressful.

We are CD15 today. Going to DTD EOD. We did CD13 so will do today until CD19 probably.
We were going to do 12 to 20, but we were travelling on holiday CD12 so weren't able to.
Last month we DTD 8, 14, 16 and 19 and got our first ever BFP. So I'm hoping 13,15,17 and 19 will work out.
I'm also really hoping the CP hasn't messed with my cycles, and the whole "you're more fertile after a CP" comes true.

Annapolis35 · 18/08/2022 07:25

@pinkpirlie @Shaker21 How are you both doing now? Where abouts in your cycles are you now? I’m 5dpo and feel pretty much the same as usual, perhaps more tired but I’ve had a busy week at work. A bit early for any symptoms really!

Shaker21 · 18/08/2022 08:09

Morning @Annapolis35 :)

I am CD14 today so should be ovulating maybe today or tomorrow if going off of previous couple of months. So feeling good and still just BDing and then shall be joining you in the TWW. I think where we have had so many months of it not happening I don't feel that hopeful that this will be the month. Kind of just in my head thinking why would this one be any different to the others. But who knows, it could be but already expecting AF to be coming at the end of the month.

Glad you are doing good and fully into the TWW. When is AF suppose to be due? x

pinkpirlie · 18/08/2022 08:12

@Annapolis35

Hey
I am CD20 but I think I ovulated early or not at all. Feels like my cycle is a bit unusual after the CP.
I had EWCM around CD8-10 which I didn't pay much attention to, as it felt far too early to be ovulation (it hadn't even been 5 days since bleeding stopped). But haven't had any since and my boobs started hurting around CD16 which is about a week early to a normal cycle. So I'm guessing I am out this month as we wouldn't have DTD at the right time.

Hoping you manage to stay relaxed through your 2WW.

Annapolis35 · 18/08/2022 08:30

@Shaker21 you never know, it could be your month but I understand, it is better to temper expectations and just take each month as it comes. That is good ovulation is today or tomorrow, it’s always quite a nice feeling around that time of the cycle. My AF should be due next Thursday or Friday, thereabouts so should start feeling AF symptoms fairly soon. I normally feel pretty crampy and get that heavy feeling for about 5 days/ a week before. I suspect tomorrow I’ll start getting all the usual symptoms!

I was thinking earlier how mad it is people start testing from 5 or 6 dpo as it’s just not really biologically possible - such a waste of money. I don’t keep any tests in and just wait for period, the few times I have thought I might be and tested boom my AF arrived. Maybe testing is a sure fire way of getting it to start haha

@pinkpirlie that is annoying but that can happen. My cycle was out of whack and still is unusually long since the mc - it just takes time for your body to get back to normal. Did you use opk’s? Good thing is that you know it is possible to get pregnant

Annapolis35 · 19/08/2022 08:17

And bam 6dpo and it feels like my AF is definitely going to come next week! Urgh

pinkpirlie · 19/08/2022 09:29

Oh no @Annapolis35
Keeping fingers crossed for you. It is still very early in your 2WW, still chance for you to catch.

I have some OPKs and used them early on our TTC journey to gauge when I ovulated. But I haven't used them for a while as it made everything more stressful, particularly for my partner as it just added a lot of pressure on him to be ready at the right time.
That said, I have been thinking it may be worth me doing them next month though to see what's going on.

Shaker21 · 19/08/2022 09:31

@Annapolis35 Sorry to hear it feels like AF is going to show...however a lot of women do say that the only symptom they had when they got their positive was normal AF symptoms. Did you get anything last time that stood out that was different to normal AF months?

I will stay positive for the time being lol I said I wasn't going to temp this month however I have done my temperature the past few days just so i can keep a track in my head when i have ovulated so i know it has happened. It was 36.47 Wednesday morning, 36.45 Thursday morning and 36.26 this morning so I am guessing ovulation will be today as it sometimes will go lower before ovulation which I will be so happy with if it is because that will be 3 months in a row that I will have ovulated on CD15 and have a 27 day cycle. We have managed to BD CD10, 12, 13, 14, 15 so feeling good about that too! Is always so much more of a disappointment and hurt at the end of the month if you feel this positive though and it doesn't happen. We shall have to wait and see.

@pinkpirlie Sorry to hear you think you might have missed ovulation if it happened early this month after the CP. How are you feeling at the moment? Any specific feelings that AF is on the way if you did ovulate early this month? You may not have done and still be in a chance this month fingers crossed

Annapolis35 · 19/08/2022 11:20

Thanks ladies, I realize it’s early days but just had a big cry as it’s been such a rough ride this year with ttc - it’s not easy at all.

that sounds really positive @Shaker21 and you sound like have dtd on all the right days. I have no idea about temping! It’s all a bit of a mystery.

@pinkpirlie yeah my husband was a bit the same at first but has been ok with them since, as figure it just increases our chances of dtd on the right days

Annapolis35 · 23/08/2022 09:23

Morning ladies! 10dpo here and AF is definitely on its way, feel the usual heaviness and cramps. Onwards to next month! I feel ok about it, just want it to come and be over with. How are you all doing?

Shaker21 · 23/08/2022 10:31

Morning!

Sorry to hear AF is on the way. How many DPO does AF normally show? I am 1DPO today so starting off the TWW. Just going to try and not think about it too much and just keep myself busy over the next 2 weeks. I have my friends hen do this weekend in Brighton so that's something to look forward to and then try and keep busy next week with going to the gym and stuff.

Annapolis35 · 23/08/2022 10:58

It usually shows on 12dpo which is a fairly short luteal phase although it’s sort of good the 2ww is shorter. I thought we did pretty much everything we could have for this month but ah well, maybe next month will be better. That’s so good you’re keeping busy and have lots of things to look forward to!

pinkpirlie · 23/08/2022 11:46

@Annapolis35 sorry to hear AF is on her way.
I feel the same with us. My boobs are killing me which is normal before AF and tummy is feeling queasy. I'm CD25 and with the EWCM around CD10 timing seems about right for AF to arrive shortly. Will do the ovulation strips next month and temping to see if I can get a better understanding of what's going on with my cycle.

@Shaker21 have a wonderful weekend away, will be a nice distraction from the 2WW.

I need to start exercising again. Hurt my ankle in April and then again last month, and let my gym membership lapse as I have been in so much pain. Need to lose 25lbs to be eligible for IVF, with the bonus of increasing chance of conception if I am not so overweight. Wish it was as easy to lose as it was to gain it.

Shaker21 · 23/08/2022 11:54

@Annapolis35 my luteal phase is 12DPO also so I know how you feel with the feeling of it being slightly short but don't worry too much about it but also is nice the luteal phase being slightly shorter.

@pinkpirlie I am also the same with needing to lose some weight, this is why i have started exercising and losing weight in hoping it will really help with conceiving, i have heard even the smallest amounts of 7lbs can make such a difference with conceiving. So just going with small and little amounts and still trying and going with it and hoping for the best.

H1994 · 23/08/2022 12:38

Hello again 😅 2dpo today... testing next Friday I think! Let the waiting begin!

Annapolis35 · 24/08/2022 14:45

@Shaker21 Yeah it is good it’s shorter in a way as less time to wait.

@H1994 the wait is painful! I’m gonna just see if my AF arrives or not as I can’t stand the negative tests

H1994 · 24/08/2022 14:56

@Annapolis35 bless you! That's not a bad way to do it! When is AF due?

Annapolis35 · 24/08/2022 15:26

@H1994 its due on tomorrow so fingers crossed it doesn’t appear! Good luck to you too

H1994 · 24/08/2022 16:01

@Annapolis35 ooo fingers crossed! Baby dust to you! And thank you! Xx

pinkpirlie · 24/08/2022 17:01

@Annapolis35
Fingers crossed for tomorrow for you.

I've still not got AF. I do feel like she's on her way, but I did last month when I got the CP. Every day that passes is closer to the 14 day wait starting around the time we DTD (only CD13 &15 due to being on holiday with my whole family and finding it a bit awkward) and my chances of conception increasing. I'm assuming by the lack of AF that I didn't ovulate as early as I thought I may have.

CD26 today, usually 29 day cycles.

@H1994 good luck for your 2WW.
