Hello ladies!

I’ve been reading these threads (at all hours clearly!) I just wondered if anyone was currently in their 2WW and wanted to join me? It’s so long!! I’m ttc number 2, have a 4 year old son, fell first time with him luckily so certainly not expecting the same this time round. This is our first cycle. I’m only using an app not any ovulation sticks so not sure how many days po I am, but According to app fertile window ended yesterday. AF due 21st I only have 24/25 day cycles since coming off my pill.

Anywhoo no symptoms yet as too early! I’ve had ovulation cramps and a few nights of very intense dreams. I think the only symptoms I can remember pre bfp with my son was really really sore boobs, couldn’t bare a bra on!! And really tired.

Please people join me to symptom spot and keep each other company during the 2WW.

Hey @Annapolis35

How has been settling into the new house? Sorry to hear AF is on its way, I hate when the body starts playing tricks and thinking that you could be pregnant. What DPO are you today? What CD are you? Does it seem like your cycle is back to normal this month?

I am doing ok, AF is all done and currently on CD 12. Supposedly in my fertile window so just getting lots of BD in. I am tracking my BBT this cycle just so I know when I have ovulated and to know more precise when AF should be arriving. Is the only thing I haven't liked over the past few months not tracking is then thinking I know when AF will arrive, it then doesn't arrive when I think and I end up getting my hopes up slightly and then AF ends up arriving the day after anyway because I haven't been sure when I actually ovulated. So thought just doing BBT would just confirm it. So will see how it goes this cycle and if it makes me obsess more in the tww when I know for sure I have ovulated compared to other months when I am just guessing when its happened so can't obsess if I don't know for sure....if that makes any sense haha!

Annapolis35 · 20/07/2022 11:02

BBT is quite sensible and I totally understand! At least you’ll know for definite when it happens, let me know how you get on with it. I haven’t gone near them as I was a bit worried I would get obsessive over it. Do you have a Fitbit? It sort of gives a good indication of pregnancy and ovulation - when I did get pregnant the heart rate went up markedly. There is a bit of a pattern. My heart rate is low during my period, then slowly rises to ovulation, and then plateaus for a bit and drops for period. It’s not 100% reliable as heart rate can be affected by stress, heat, exercise but it gives me a fairly good idea of my cycle and I always know when my period is about to start because of it. How long is your cycle normally?

I think I am about 11 or 12 dpo and day 28 of my cycle. It’s normally a 29 day cycle so gone back to normal hopefully which is really good. I can definitely feel my AF is around the corner, House is great too, we’ve mostly unpacked and enjoying it.

Shaker21 · 20/07/2022 11:47

Yeah I am purely going to try doing it from maybe CD9 up until I see it go higher and I know I have ovulated and then I will stop, I think I end up then obsessing over it in the tww if it slightly drops and I'm then like 'why has it dropped...what does that mean...it should be higher than that'.

That's interesting about the heart rate...I never knew that. I don't have a fitbit but is good to know if I fancy getting one then it can be used for that.

My cycle is normally between 27 - 31 days and I have had a 24 day one thrown in there a few months back too so is never the same every month, or at least it hasn't been yet. I've had 28, 24, 29, 31, 27 the past few months. So ovulate somewhere between CD15 - CD19.

That's good that your cycle seems to have gone back to normal. How you feeling about AF coming?

Annapolis35 · 20/07/2022 12:47

That sounds sensible to stop when you do because I would be the same as well. I ended up taking my Fitbit off when I was pregnant as I got worried by the heart rate and didn’t want to know anymore. Ah your cycles are a little bit variable, mine are sometimes too and can be 31 days but mostly are bang on 29. As long as you cover those days of potential ovulation you should be fine. I think I normally ovulate day 18 but that can vary too. I feel ok about it coming and just want it to start now so I can move onto the next cycle afresh, I hate waiting for it to arrive more than anything!

Shaker21 · 20/07/2022 12:56

@Annapolis35 Yeah that is the annoying part when you know it is coming and the waiting for it just so you can start the next cycle. Have you got anything you are trying different going into the next cycle or just carrying on as normal?

Annapolis35 · 20/07/2022 13:03

I might go back to tracking with OPKs but not sure yet, and was thinking of trying maca root. I’m scared of trying soy isoflavones but have read lots about them. How about you?

Shaker21 · 20/07/2022 13:06

No haven't added anything new in this time round really, only thing kind of doing different is exercising at the gym 3 times a week and trying to eat healthier but other than that just going with it again. Thinking it has got to happen soon surely!!! lol!

Annapolis35 · 20/07/2022 13:29

Same!! Got to have some good luck soon. I think I’ll stay away from the soy and just carry on as before. Maybe we will try to dtd more throughout cycle, I really don’t know!

Shaker21 · 22/07/2022 08:54

Morning :)

@Annapolis35 Did AF arrive yesterday? How you doing?

@ANP2020 How are you getting on? Hoping you are feeling a bit better from the last time you had messaged on here x

Annapolis35 · 22/07/2022 13:23

Morning @Shaker21 it hasn’t arrived yet but it feels like it’s going to, I think maybe I had a later ovulation again. How are you?

Annapolis35 · 22/07/2022 13:23

It’s clearly the afternoon and not morning!! I am not with it

pinkpirlie · 27/07/2022 06:22

Hi all,
Know I've been away several months, but we had some bad months trying wise and being apart since March often over my fertile days (not that I OPK or temp to get an accurate date).
This month thought I was out had the most awful food poisoning in the middle of the TWW but here I am CD33 (cycles usually about 31 but can be anything to 36 days) and thought I ought to test as I'm going out for "drinks" tonight.
And faint positive.
Obviously very early days, I literally cannot believe it. We have been trying nearly 2 years.
I'm in complete shock!

2WW
Shaker21 · 27/07/2022 08:05

@pinkpirlie Wow congratulations!! You must be feeling so over the moon after so long! It really does show it can happen eventually and to just keep trying!

@Annapolis35 Sorry I completely didn't even see your message to me! I am doing good...I am currently 5DPO this evening, I ovulated overnight Friday night. Not feeling too much, I have been quite achy which I do tend to get after ovulation but I don't remember it still being like that at 4DPO but doesn't overly mean anything. Sore boobs also which is normal for me after ovulation and progesterone rising. So yeah just a waiting game again, not feeling like this month will be any different to any others previously so shall just wait and see. How are you doing? Where are you in your cycle now? I am assuming AF eventually showed up? x

Annapolis35 · 27/07/2022 08:52

@pinkpirlie congratulations! The nicest news and you must be over joyed.

@Shaker21 Yeah 5dpo is a bit early to really feel anything I think, it’s hard to tell! I recall the month I got pregnant I was convinced my AF would arrive as it felt identical really until AF was late and then I felt weird. Annoyingly symptoms of both are basically the same. Yeah AF did show up late and arrived on Monday, I didn’t test as was sure it was going to arrive. Seems my cycles are behaving quite oddly now and gone up to 31/32 in length. Am currently day 3 so will see what fresh hell this month brings!

pinkpirlie · 27/07/2022 09:19

@Annapolis35 @Shaker21

The way Annapolis describes it is exactly how I felt this month.

Last week I felt usual AF on her way symptoms- sore boobs, feeling bloated, etc. But then I usually get super mardy a couple of days before (when everything DP does makes me hate him) and that didn't happen (although I only realised looking back). I obviously knew AF was a day late yesterday but I don't usually bother testing (& AF has always come so it was only the month I was 36 days that I tested on CD35).
I was going to test today anyway as was going out for "drinks" and obviously knew I was a bit late, but last night I had really sore nipples which isn't normal. Normally it's my boobs themselves that hurt. I also had a couple of times yesterday feeling a bit dizzy and this morning I woke feeling a bit queasy but a different queasy to when AF is coming (I always feel so sick with AF).

I think after almost 2 years we had practically given up it ever happening. Especially at 39 and my BMI being above 30. I hope the little bean sticks and is healthy.
It's weird as we really want a baby, but I have never wanted to be pregnant. I asked DP if the baby can be brought out by teleportation, but apparently science isn't that advanced yet. Gutted!

I really hope there are other people getting some BFP this month, or the coming months.
It's been such a long and hard journey.

pinkpirlie · 29/07/2022 16:33

So after 2 days, I'm back. Unfortunately, I've had a chemical pregnancy.
Pregnancy symptoms stopped yesterday afternoon, second line got paler and AF has arrived today.
Feeling really sad and deflated but read that fertility can increase after MC so keeping everything crossed we don't have to wait another 2 years for another BFP.

Annapolis35 · 30/07/2022 09:04

Aw no @pinkpirlie im really sorry to hear this! Hope you’re alright. I think prob the only way to think about it positively is that it wasn’t meant to be and when it does stick it will be as it’s meant to be. Onwards and upwards

Annapolis35 · 01/08/2022 17:07

How are you doing? @Shaker21 and @pinkpirlie hope both alright! I’m on day 8 of new cycle so feeling positive!

pinkpirlie · 01/08/2022 17:36

Hi @Annapolis35 thanks for asking.
I'm day 4 of very heavy bleeding. It's been so painful both physically and emotionally.
Woke up in agony last night but hoping the worst is over now.
Waiting for it to finish now, so we can start again.

Shaker21 · 01/08/2022 17:53

Hey!

Doing ok thanks @Annapolis35 I am currently CD 24 and 10 DPO so only few more days to go until AF is due. I have had a bit of a bug yesterday and today, been feeling hot and cold, tired, upset stomach and stomach cramps and my BBT was 38.44 yesterday so through the roof!! So with all that going on I've not even noticed anything else with my body happening 😂 I had been a bit achey (AF type) and lower back ache maybe 4,5,6,7 DPO which is unusual for me to get mid cycle but other than that nothing else. Glad you're feeling positive! Are you doing OPKs or BBT or anything this cycle?

Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy @pinkpirlie. I really hope AF is easing up for you now and this next cycle is your one for the sticky BFP 🤞🏻

Annapolis35 · 01/08/2022 18:07

Sorry to hear all this @pinkpirlie. I had a mmc in late March so know the feeling, it’s very hard going. Hopefully the bleeding stops soon and you can recover.

That all sounds positive @Shaker21 Your AF is due in a couple of days? Yeah that bug sounds nasty! Hope you are recovering and taking it easy. I’m doing opk’s this time again just to give us a better shot but just the clear blue ones as I am very bad at interpreting the colour of lines

Annapolis35 · 07/08/2022 09:12

How are you both doing now? @Shaker21 @pinkpirlie I got a flashing smiley so just entering my fertile period!

pinkpirlie · 07/08/2022 09:35

Hey @Annapolis35
I'm doing much better now. I had bleeding for 5 days, which is unheard of for me (usually 36-48 hours).
Not sure what my cycle will do following the CP, but we will DTD EOD from CD14 to 20 and hope for the best. We will be on holiday, so hopefully a lot more relaxed with more free time. I'm CD9 today.

I'm wondering if the food poisoning maybe did cause the CP, as I was so unwell during my 2WW and barely ate for 5 days. Will never know though.

Spoke to the doctor who has prescribed me more 5mg folic acid and she's given me the name and number for the secretary for the fertility doctor since I never heard bacm. She said all my tests were normal, which is probably why they haven't asked me back and they are waiting for my BMI to be low enough to be eligible for treatment. I've lost 13lbs in the last 5 weeks, another 25lbs to go.
Although I now know I can get pregnant, maybe as I lose weight we may be successful naturally. 😬

Good luck with your cycle this month. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Shaker21 · 07/08/2022 09:54

@Annapolis35 Morning! Doing ok, AF arrived so I am now CD 3. Feeling a bit meh the past few days but hoping once AF has gone I'll feel a bit better and get on with another cycle feeling a bit better. How are you getting on? That's good youre in your fertile period!! What CD are you now? Xx
