calimc83 · 13/02/2022 19:44

@Ganesh2022 You crack me up! 😆 I remember someone I used to work with found out she was pregnant for the first time at 43 and didn't realise till she was 18 weeks....😅 went on to have a healthy pregnancy! X

calimc83 · 13/02/2022 19:44

@aesgriff ahh that's good news re the darker line! How are u feeling about everything? Xx

Skl2021 · 13/02/2022 19:46

@PamelaDoov definitely will! Soon be testing time 🤞 you will be too preoccupied with birthday plans 💃🎂 xx

@MO22 hope you get good news in the morning 🤞🤞🤞🤞 haha that's why I used my tests as I was sick of getting negatives and wanted to get rid of them all and wait for af 🤣🤦 xx

Ganesh2022 · 13/02/2022 19:48

@PamelaDoov So hoping you get a nice birthday surprise. And very jealous of your restraint; @MO22, too .

Ganesh2022 · 13/02/2022 19:50

@calimc83 yeahhh despite my worries about it I think it used to be pretty standard to have babies into women's 40's, just that it was usually baby number 10 or something...amazing she didn't find out for that long, I hope it was a happy surprise!

MO22 · 13/02/2022 19:53

@Ganesh2022 I think more terror than restraint at this point but thank you. I think next cycle I need to buy some internet cheapies HPTs as I have just have scary FRER and a CB digital in the drawer now!

MO22 · 13/02/2022 19:54

@Skl2021 I don't think I'm far off a small breakdown and peeing on anything that's left, including the cat

calimc83 · 13/02/2022 20:03

@MO22 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

calimc83 · 13/02/2022 20:04

@Ganesh2022 I know! I think she was v v shocked but yes super happy x

Skl2021 · 13/02/2022 20:04

@MO22 haha that's a new one 🤣 poor cat better stay out of your way!! I used to pee on opks if I had no tests or I would buy lots of Ic's but there so unreliable 🤦 lots of evaps! Xx

OP posts:
bunnykins123 · 13/02/2022 20:04

@MO22 I hear peeing on a cat is a very reliable way to tell if your pregnant 😉 good luck testing tomorrow! The 'test fear' is real, at least you should have a pretty good indicator tomorrow at 12dpo 🤞

@aesgriff that's amazing! Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you and a sticky bean 🤞

@Ganesh2022 so glad I'm not the only person checking out the age of other mums-to-be!

calimc83 · 13/02/2022 20:05

@Ganesh2022 I have it in my head I'll call it a day if I get to 40 and it hasn't happened ( mainly because I want to go away for my 40th 😂) x

aesgriff · 13/02/2022 20:40

@Ganesh2022 wishing you a happy time away! Are you anywhere nice?

@Skl2021 thank you so much ♥️♥️ Will update in the morning. I had spotting with my MMC but at around 5 weeks. Lost baby at 6 weeks sadly but think I am just a bleeder 😩 how are you?

@MO22 I’d say it’s been pretty consistent over the last few days. Not much on a pantyliner and a watery light brown. I feel like it may be slowing down but there’s no cramping or anything 🤞🏻 Good luck 🤞🏻 with your FRER. Sending you soooooo much baby dust and just please please please let it be positive. If it’s not then we’re here to listen to the offload and don’t feel bad for doing so! What symptoms do you have?

@PamelaDoov hoping time speeds up as it’s always the slowest during the TWW!

@calimc83 thank you! In all honesty it just doesn’t feel real. I’m just acting like I’m not pregnant if that makes sense? Probs just a protective mechanism my brain is trying to do. How are you doing? I meant to say what OPKs are you using? I used OneStep and found them rubbish. I changed to Easy@Home and found them soooo much easier to read and there were a lot clearer lines too.

@bunnykins123 thank you!! Everything crossed 🤞🏻 Please please pleaseeeee!! How are things for you?

Xxxxx

Skl2021 · 13/02/2022 20:48

@aesgriff will you be testing again in the morning? Yes I bled with my MMC from around 5 weeks too but lost baby at ten weeks found out at 12. I never bled with my previous pregnancies so knew something was wrong. Lots of people do bleed and it can be normal so try not to worry 🤞 as long as it's not bright red and your cramping. Brown usually means old which is good news. I'm keeping everything crossed for you anyway 🤞🙌✨ xx

@Skl2021 thank you me too 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’m going to ask for progesterone and quote the Tommy’s PRISM at them. I imagine they’ll send me through to EPU who just aren’t always helpful 🙄
I’m the same I found out at 8 weeks so 2 weeks without knowing. It was the worst feeling in the world. Not sure I can do a MMC again.. deffo no cramping other then those weird twisty tight sensations.
Not gonna test in the morning will probs only test again if the bleeding gets heavier or towards the end of the week. I don’t feel like seeing the lines makes me feel any better as they were there even when the baby had died so I don’t feel like I can trust them yknow?
Have you heard from the midwife? Xx

Skl2021 · 13/02/2022 21:01

@aesgriff yes IV heard people still having to fight for progesterone even though they should be having it! Hope you get somewhere with them 🤞🤞we shouldn't have to fight so hard for something little that might help us 😩. Yes I know what u mean I was still getting strong positives after I miscarried. Hopefully the spotting stops soon and it's just baby getting comfy! Nope not heard anything back must have forgot about me 🤣 🤦 said up to 5 working days so will have to wait until then xx

OP posts:
calimc83 · 13/02/2022 21:03

@aesgriff yeah I get that! I'm ok...trying not to get tooo obsessed this cycle ( easier said than done 😂) I've used easy@home before and liked them..gonna try step away from them this cycle though! X

aesgriff · 13/02/2022 21:13

@Skl2021 I’m going with some fire in my belly and a screenshot of the NICE recommendation 💪🏻💪🏻 One for all and all for one and all that 🤭
Gosh they like to keep us waiting don’t they! Just take out the five days and then we wouldn’t be waiting for the call 🙄 xx

aesgriff · 13/02/2022 21:16

@calimc83 ah yes that reminds me of the EWCM chat earlier! I forgot to say I have always had the smallest amount of it (only ever after a bowel movement sorry tmi 🤪). We use preseed and it replicates your EWCM! Xx

calimc83 · 13/02/2022 21:17

@aesgriff never TMI on this thread!! I forgot I'm planning on using pressed this cycle actually 😂 x

Sassy144 · 13/02/2022 22:32

I've been off for a few days as trying to take my mind off the tww! Sending love to everyone 💛 it's an emotional rollercoaster for sure.

Af is due for me next Saturday and I have my best friend coming over, which usually involves a lot of wine. At least if af comes I'll be able to drown my sorrows, it will be my first since the MC.

bunnykins123 · 13/02/2022 23:01

@aesgriff good luck tomorrow with the fight for progesterone 💪 fingers crossed the spotting will have eased up by then too.

@MO22 good luck testing tomorrow! Got my fingers crossed for you 🤞 (hoping the cat will be spared too!)

speake · 14/02/2022 07:10

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing ok in their wait for that positive test! Aunt Flo is due here on Thursday and so far tests have been BFN! Also feel like I’m peeing on money at this point 🙈 Do any of you have experience using clear blue ultra tests? I got those instead of FRER this time but telling myself they must not be as sensitive… not sure if I’m lying to myself though!

Bit of history I’ve had two previous losses, one at 8 weeks and one at 10 weeks last year. I went to a private consultant and am now on progesterone, pred, clexane injections etc which is reassuring however I find the side effects from them are the same as what pregnancy symptoms would be so they’re a bit of a head f**k.

Anyway I didn’t just want to be a ghost, hope you’re all well & this is a better week for everyone xx

JuniperAndTonic · 14/02/2022 07:50

Morning! Busy day at work yesterday so trying to catch up!

Just wanted to say @aesgriff EPAU gave me the progesterone without me even having to ask after my bleeding last week - I was ready to ask for it and quote the Tommy’s research but she actually gave me a print out form Tommy’s about it! So hopefully your GP is the same. Have you tested this morning?

How is everyone else? Anyone else testing soon? 👀
