@Annny27 not yet no. I can’t decide when the next time would be. I’m 6 weeks today. Can’t do anything this week unfortunately though as DD has chicken pox so we’re stuck at home this week 🙈

ELM7 · 08/03/2022 14:35

@Annny27 no next steps for us from the hospital. It’s just a wait and see if we get pregnant again and then back to EPU for early scans. We’d have to go back to the Dr for another referral with regards fertility. I’m 40 this year so unlikely to get nhs ivf in our area and we can’t afford it privately.

So to a degree I’ve given up. We aren’t preventing but I dont do OPKs but know my cycle well enough now and will just wait and see what the future holds.

Kelb79 · 08/03/2022 19:55

@ELM7 that’s exactly where we got left too 😕 it’s pretty crap isn’t it!! We’re looking at IVF in Spain as it’s MUCH cheaper and has MUCH higher success rates… but it’s still so damn expensive!!
So I’ve started acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the hope that it might help a natural conception along…. It gets great reviews! Or at least it might help the success of IVF if we do take the plunge.

I’m a day late for AF (but BFN so in no way holding out hope) - wondering if it’s down to the acupuncture & meds?? My cycle has been short at 26 days so this might be a good thing 🙏🏼🙏🏼

PeanuttyButter · 09/03/2022 08:50

So I've had my follow up with the consultant and have tested positive for the Factor V Leiden mutation so if I ever get a BFP they will treat me with anti coags. So that's something. Got a short luteal phase so got progesterone from ovulation basically. Feeling bit down however as I've not ovulated since my chemical in December.
Just seems like it will never happen at the moment

Fizzl · 09/03/2022 15:29

Ah @Annny27 I'm so pleased to see your update! Amazing news 😁 so exciting!

@PeanuttyButter I have factor V and was treated with blood thinners with my successful pregnancy. 🤞 you get a positive outcome too.

27DONFIN · 09/03/2022 16:17

@Annny27 omg just catching up amazing news. Massive congratulations. How are you been keeping? Xx

H0peing · 09/03/2022 21:20

@Annny27 I had a review meeting with my midwife for my gestational diabetes today. She can view all of my levels on an app and she's happy with me to continue managing it through diet and exercise instead of medication as they have nearly all been within the normal range, so I'm really happy about that. 31 weeks now. Growth scan on Monday. Really looking forward to the scan as it's been ages since I've seen her on one. I'm really grateful that she's big enough to regularly make her presence known through lots of lively movements now but I honestly still wish I could fast forward to the day I'm holding my healthy Rainbow baby! Xx

H0peing · 09/03/2022 21:47

@PeanuttyButter Progesterone from ovulation seems to have really worked for me as it's the only thing I changed for this pregnancy after 4 early miscarriages and I'm 31 weeks now. Some people say that Maca powder has helped them with ovulation, so that might be worth looking into. They took it whilst TTC up until ovulation day or bfp and then stopped taking it. I've had a lot of friends tell me that Acupuncture helped them to get pregnant so that could be another option to try, though it is expensive. I hope that your new prescription for the anti coags and progesterone will work for you very soon! Xx

PeanuttyButter · 10/03/2022 09:55

@h0peing what day did you start to take it? I've how long after ovulation/ your peak opk?

Annny27 · 10/03/2022 09:58

I have just been prescribed progesterone 400mg twice per day and as much as I wanted them now I am like ahhh side effects 🙈🙈

@H0peing @leok83 you have all had progesterone in pregnancy right? Anyone else?

@fizzl thanks lovely! Am I right in thinking you wanted to ttc again soon?

@27donfin thank you 💗💗 its good that wedding planning has given you a distraction

@ELM7 I think women who have miscarriages are so let down by fertility as its like oh you CAN get pregnant so we can't really do anything for you - very frustrating especially when it takes us a long time to ttc

@peanuttybutter that's promissing that they have found an issue to treat!

@Annny27 I had progesterone from 6 weeks with my second miscarriage. Buy some panty liners and consider washing your underwear separate. The pessaries are very greasy and that grease will seep out. I used to do mine when I got in from work (lay on the bed on my phone for a hour) then I used to set my alarm for 5am so that I could go back to sleep to keep as much in as possible

Equimum · 10/03/2022 11:55

Hopefully having an explanation will prove beneficial PeanuttyButter. I found it took time to start ovulating again - hopefully it will happen this next cycle.

Congrats to those of you who have got BFP since I was last about.

I hope nobody minds me reappearing. I've been away from the thread for ages as we pretty much decided to stop trying, then had a rethink. We were waiting for NHS tests under the RMC, and after speaking with them in October, I had bloods done in January. My next two appointments got cancelled and I still have not spoken with them again. As a result, we have now booked private fertility tests. I had bloods done last week and DH & I are back in today for a scan/ sperm test. We see the consultant in two weeks and will hopefully get some answers, if there are any to be had. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole process. Realistically, this could be the end of our journey, but if it is, at least we may have some closure.

Fizzl · 10/03/2022 12:02

@Annny27 yeah we are wanting to try again soon just incase it takes us as long as it did first time around. I wanted to wait a year, my husband 6 months (!!!) so we compromised on March but my periods haven't returned because I'm still breastfeeding so that's kind of delaying things for now 😂 I don't really want to stop feeding her yet so im just hoping that now she's going longer between feeds with weaning it might kick start things but we'll just have to wait and see.

The side effects of the progesterone sound lovely! Will all be worth it though 😉

Leok83 · 10/03/2022 19:50

@Annny27 ya i had progesterone last time round and this time too..only the once a day tho thankfully as it's not the most comfortable thing to be putting in there in the morning and walking around for the day! No issues with side effects..I think with these things Google can scare the hell out of you about side effects but my son turned out perfect and so far so good with this bean too!

Leok83 · 10/03/2022 19:51

@Annny27 and I just saw you got to see a heartbeat!! Fantastic news ☺️☺️ when are you getting your next scan?

scrumdiddly123 · 10/03/2022 21:30

Ah this has been an exciting thread to catch up on! Congratulations @Annny27 and @Leok83 @SunnySideUp2020 too! So pleased for you all! X

H0peing · 10/03/2022 23:25

@PeanuttyButter I found it tricky to know when to take it but used the Clearblue pink ovulation kit, the one that tells you only your peak days with no flashing smiley faces, just one still smiley face. The one that is supposed to tell you that ovulation will happen within about 36 hours. When that showed a peak day, I left it two days (over 36 hours) after the peak day and I also tried to go with my body as well because I obviously didn't want to take it too early and prevent pregnancy. I felt like I had what I thought was ovulation pains the day after the peak day on the ovulation kit. Thankfully, that worked for this pregnancy. I really hope you get your next peak day, however your tracking it, very soon! Xx

H0peing · 10/03/2022 23:53

@Annny27 Yes, I had 400mg progesterone twice per day in this pregnancy and I definitely feel like it's helped. I'm almost 32 weeks now. I was often told that was a high dose. I had one friend on the same dose as me and another friend on 200mg twice per day. They were further along than me and have both had successful pregnancies with progesterone. I had some spotting early on in this pregnancy, off and on, up until about 10 weeks I think but with every scan baby was fine. A Midwife told me that the progesterone pessary can sometimes irritate the uterus through inserting them vaginally so she recommended anal insertion, so I did and that seemed to help me. A bit gross I guess but I didn't seem to have the same issue with chalky stuff from the pessary leaking out. Mine weren't entirely equally spaced out as I took them just before I went to bed and at least about 15 minutes before I got out of bed in the morning. I used blue medical gloves from Amazon to insert them in bed. I was told that it helped to lie down when it's first inserted and I think it takes at least 10 minutes to an hour for it to be absorbed. Glad that you have progesterone to help your little one, especially such a generous dose like I did. They'll probably encourage you to reduce the dose or stop taking it soon after your 12/13 week scan. They usually seem to recommend stopping it by 16 weeks. Both of my friends stopped taking progesterone at different times, earliest being at 16 weeks and both of their pregnancies were healthy throughout. Xx

PeanuttyButter · 11/03/2022 08:08

@H0peing well we have tried the purple clear blue tests this month for the first time and I've been dipping my usual LH cheapie sticks too. Usually get my peak with the cheapies on day 11/12 so had day 13 as ovulation most months. Didn't think I was going to ovulate this month as had a few highs with the cheapies and then lows around when I usually ovulate. Clear blue was flashing smiley for about 5 days so was giving up hope when I got my static AND my cheapie was what I'd describe as pretty much positive (equal if not a little stronger) on day 14 so taking day 15 as ovulation. However AF came at 16 days last month so don't know what to expect anymore. Was planning on taking them on cycle day 20 but my spotting can have started at that point so was wondering if I could start earlier..hmmm

Angelmama1121 · 11/03/2022 09:41

I have had some bright red blood when wiping this morning 😢
Managed to get a scan this afternoon at EPAU but so worried

Annny27 · 11/03/2022 10:34

@angelmama1121 sending love to you! I hope its just one of those early pregnancy things. A few women who graduated from this thread had spouts of red bleeds and everything turned out well! Please let us know

@scrumdiddly123 thanks lovely 💗 hope you are all doing okay!

@h0peing thank you - yep I am taking from the back exit way as less messy haha! At the moment the prescription says take untill 12 weeks but then I will review with them after that :)

@fizzl my husband says the same....funny how they aren't the ones that have to carry them haha

@leok83 thank you! Glad they gave you progesterone again - seems to have done the trick with your little boy. Are you finding out the sex this time?

@peanuttybutter so many people have said the discharge is so waxy so I have decided on the alternative route for inserting haha

@equimum glad you are having some tests and hope you get some answers

I am about to do my 3rd round of IVF. 2 back to back miscarriages in 2021 and have just had a battery of tests - all fine which is super frustrating!! still no real answer as to why the losses... my question is this - should I be taking baby Asprin ?? My clinician said she had no opposition to this but would leave it to me. When should I take it?

They have got me on pro biotics, pre conception vitamin and then ill have to start on the progynova and progesterone in April.

I have had no issues re: implanting, I just can't seem to get past 7 weeks. They are giving me Progesterone injections this time rather than crinone so yay for the no cramping and sludge!

Help!! please

Angelmama1121 · 11/03/2022 14:45

@Annny27 all good. Little bean has a heartbeat and was nicely tucked away in the sack with the yolk. ❤️
No signs of any other bleeding so said it may delayed implantation bleeding.
Only 2 weeks to wait for my first consultants appointment too so feeling relieved. ❤️

Annny27 · 11/03/2022 15:26

Amazing news @angelmama1121 💗💗💗💗

@bubssymes I have no experience in this sorry :S if your clinician isn't recommending it I probably wouldn't bother but as she said, your choice:)
