@Kelb79 bless you. There's still time yet!!! Manifesting symptoms I get you!

I'm around 5dpo and I'm knackered!!! Been asleep all week and felt just run down. Had some cramping like gassy cramps if you know what I mean which I normally get before my period. The smell of basil has knocked me sick and just overall felt Ill😓

Kelb79 · 07/02/2022 10:38

@apwilso it’s insane isn’t it?! Our bodies are cruel!! And Mother Nature is pretty cruel by not making AF symptoms and pregnancy symptoms a little more varied!! 🙄
I’ve had cramping in my right ovary well after OV, watery mouth and almost metallic taste and an (yes just 1!) itchy nipple?!?! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣🤣
Wtaf?!

Good luck with the TWW!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Angelmama1121 · 07/02/2022 15:23

@Kelb79
@apwilso
I have everything crossed for you both 🤞🏻
I don’t know when I’m ovulating but assuming it’s in the next few days as my cycles 28 days and I’m currently on CD13.

apwilso · 07/02/2022 15:38

@Kelb79 I know wish the symptoms were clearer! Good luck to you too! Just the singular itchy nip 🤣🤣. Watery mouth that's an odd one!

I've got the worst trapped wind in my lower stomach/ovaries. Literally bubbling away at work😖

@Angelmama1121 good luck! Are you testing opks? X

Angelmama1121 · 07/02/2022 15:42

@apwilso I’m not no. We’ve only started really this cycle. We weren’t careful last cycle but I hadn’t really returned to normal cycles so just seeing how this month goes first.

apwilso · 08/02/2022 07:52

@Kelb79 literally said to you yesterday what a weird symptom to have a watery mouth and I've woke up dribbling!!! I'm definitely not a dribbler either!

Kelb79 · 08/02/2022 10:23

@apwilso hahaaa!! Brilliant!! Gotta love our bodies 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

I’m 11DPO today, BFN (yeah I caved and tested!) and zero symptoms - they’ve all stopped. So I’m definitely out this month again! ☹️ Just want to get AF out if the way…. Again…. And try again….again 😩

Annny27 · 08/02/2022 14:02

Hello ladies :) I am about 4 dpo and nothing to report so far haha (there is never anything to report tbf 😂)

@kelb79 sorry about bfn :( always gutting!!

@apwilso I had loads of days of high lh this month too...was annoying!

@angelmama1121 due date and your birthday sounds like it will be emotional either way with a bfp or bfn. Will be thinking of you!

@babyghirl so weird about your period! Can you see a gp?

@h0peing it's got to be tough to not be able to relax and enjoy pregnancy like we would have been able to without losses 💙

@terribleimagination hope you and little one are doing well. She must have not long turned 1?

apwilso · 08/02/2022 22:36

@Kelb79 stay positive!!!

@Annny27 I gave up testing as it was showing high but my IC were low. Read the monitor booklet and said it will just say high until it says peak but I think my oral was Wednesday night so it missed it as I was testing in the morning so thinking I'm around 6dpo

TerribleImagination · 08/02/2022 22:51

Thanks @Annny27 We’re ace thanks lovely! I’m back to work on Monday and she starts nursery - crazy! She turned one last month! I hope you’re doing ok xx

SalP15 · 08/02/2022 23:10

Hello Ladies, just joining this conversation as feels most relevant one to what I have been through. I really haven’t had the best luck in the world with pregnancy but still counting every single blessing. I have a wonderful 5 year old DS born with emergency C section due to a placental abruption, basically both him and myself nearly died but thank goodness we got to hospital in time. I actually had hyperemesis throughout first pregnancy and was sick day in day out. I then tried for second after finally getting over the PTSD from first one, and it took a while but miscarried last October. DH and I still had faith and decided to try again. I am now basically living in pure anxiety. The positive news is I have just found out I am pregnant, which I am delighted about as its been a real journey (obsessing over ovulation and pregnancy tests since October last year)... but now I have gone from desperate to get pregnant to anxiety about another MC. Its so hard isnt it for us :-( you pass one journey to only hurdle over another and worry about that. I think I am more worried because the last MC started off with spotting , and have had very light spotting again. (Lighter than MC) but my anxiety is through the roof.

H0peing · 08/02/2022 23:59

@Annny27 Thanks. Yes, it's a challenge to relax and enjoy pregnancy after loss but I'm still hopeful that we'll all have our lovely, healthy rainbow babies one day and definitely hoping that you will have good news to report soon! Xx

H0peing · 09/02/2022 00:16

@SalP15 Congratulations on your pregnancy! Sorry about your journey but, yes, you're definitely in the right place in this lovely group. I have had spotting several times during this pregnancy, which also worried me as that's how all four of my miscarriages started but I was told several times by doctors and midwives that spotting is extremely common in healthy pregnancies and so far I've made it to 27 weeks and this baby looks healthy on the scans. Have you been offered any medication this time? How many weeks are you? Sometimes it's possible to get an early scan at an Early Pregnancy Unit from as early as 5 weeks (I did) or they might be able to check your hcg levels. If the Early Pregnancy Unit won't help you then from 6 weeks many private clinics offer scans. Have you spoken to your doctor for advice? Sometimes they can speak to an emergency gynaecologist to get advice for you / possibly a prescription like progesterone. Xx

H0peing · 09/02/2022 00:38

Just in case anyone else finds it helpful, I found the book It Starts with the Egg helpful. I definitely recommend the second edition rather than the first edition of that book. X

PeanuttyButter · 09/02/2022 07:55

Welcome new faces here, and also sorry that you are here. This group has been a life saver over the last year. I'm CD3 and seem to be having the heaviest period for at least 12m, even including my chemical! Also full of spots and before AF came in full swing I was so angry and emotional. I'm hoping this is the 'clear out' I've needed as my periods have been fairly light since my second ERPC in October.
I'm feeling more positive about the TTC journey these days but less so about actually having a baby. I can no longer image myself heavily pregnant which makes me sad. I could picture it before but I can't now even if I really try.
Good luck to all those testing in the next few days x

27DONFIN · 09/02/2022 10:53

@H0peing thanks for the book recommendation Iv been wondering if to try it or not.

Kelb79 · 09/02/2022 11:30

Big love to the new faces! I’m so sorry that this is the group for you BUT it’s an amazing group and this gang have very much started to be my sanity!!! ❤️❤️❤️

@SalP15 huge congratulations lovely! But I hear you on the anxiety! I know I would (will!!! I will!!!) be exactly the same! I think it’s impossible not to after things not going perfectly. I’m as jealous of other peoples perfect pregnancy journeys as I am of their children 😏

@PeanuttyButter great news about your period chick! That really could be turning a corner 🙏🏼 Let’s hope so! I’m feeling exactly the same as you right now! I’m handling TTC - it’s just become a process like getting up every day 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I can’t imagine myself with that baby anymore. I’ve stopped believing and I don’t know how to get that back. Anyone got any advice for us?! 😵‍💫

12dpo today - I’ve come to the conclusion that my new found POAS addiction isn’t a bad thing as todays BFN has just made me turn AF into a positive thing rather than the usual negative it is - I now want it to arrive so that I can clear out and start again.
I contacted a Chinese medicine and acupuncture therapist who specialises in fertility today….. anyone any experience of that??
Realised that I’ve been on the IVF list for a couple of months now - private not NHS so that’s actually looming! My friend has just found out her implantation has failed 😞 I’m so so gutted for her and it’d definitely not helped me to hold out hope any more than I’m already not 😵‍💫 meh!!

Definite PMS going on here!! 🤣 bear with me - I’ll be back to my positive self once I get through this next few days Im sure!!

PeanuttyButter · 10/02/2022 14:21

CD4 here. I knew this was going to be a bitch of a period. Still bleeding red. Usually on day 3 it's already brown. It's probably like the second half of day 2 flow wise right now which is really bizarre for me. Hoping that's what I needed and it will put an end to my pre AF spotting.
Spots are going too which is great.
Fingers crossed this is the month!!

SalP15 · 10/02/2022 19:15

@Kelb79 Thanks you so much :-) it is such a welcoming group and very nice to hear you are not alone. My friend is pregnant now with second and breezes through pregnancy, and I am absolutely delighted for her but agree on the jealousy..lol

Right now I am just taking day by day, and will of course keep everyone updated, but also want to provide anyone support who has been through an MC and is trying again, or anyone who has had a placental abruption and is trying again. :-)

SalP15 · 10/02/2022 19:21

@H0peing Thank you so much :-)
I am 7.5 weeks now, and to be honest haven't been provided with much at all. I registered myself a week ago and referred myself to the Maternity ward near me so awaiting now to hear back. I did speak to GP who just said not to worry unless spotting is red with cramps.... but I find that advise slightly annoying as my last MC started off with spotting for a week ahead of the red and cramps. But I understand what they mean. Its reassuring hearing about spotting also being ok, so will just hold tight for now and not worry.

H0peing · 10/02/2022 20:01

@SalP15 Have you tried finding out if you can book a private scan? I booked a 6 week scan at Window to the Womb. They have a few branches but not sure if there's any near you. They regularly seem to have special offers so I paid about £50. Still a lot of money but it should answer your questions as they should definitely be able to offer you a scan at 7.5 weeks. Or, you can wait and see how it goes if you'd prefer to. Lots of women have spotting in healthy pregnancies. Xx

H0peing · 10/02/2022 20:24

@Kelb79 I also contacted a Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturist for TTC and she told me that Chinese Medicine would be cheaper and most appropriate after my initial assessment with her. I found the cost of Chinese Medicine to really add up and it was never clear what was actually in it. She wouldn't tell me, which I found frustrating and I've heard it's quite common not to be told what's in your Chinese Medicine. She told me that I was 'cold' and that I had 'damp'. She explained that damp was excess fluid in the uterus. I had always felt the cold easily and after taking about 2 months of the Chinese Medicine I felt warmer than ever in my life so it seemed to help that, even after I stopped taking it. She said that she could tell my damp had improved but recommended I keep taking it for longer. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford it anymore so not sure what happened with that. She recommended a diet to avoid damp but to be honest I found it really hard to follow and it made me too stressed about food and what to eat so I stopped following the food advice. I am now 27 weeks pregnant so Chinese Medicine might have helped. Definitely the 'cold' thing helped me to feel warmer. I was also prescribed medication for this pregnancy though (progesterone and low dose aspirin) so that could be part of it for me. What I definitely know is that acupuncture seems to help a lot of women to get pregnant. I know a lot of friends who were TTC for years and then got pregnant soon after using fertility acupuncture. That can be pricey too but, if you can afford it, then I'd sat it's worth a try. Xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 11/02/2022 05:56

Hi ladies! Welcome to new joiners...

5w2 today and still no symptoms. I got 3+ on a digital st 5w so something is definitely happening.

Time seems to have slowed down.... my gynaecologist appt is in 10days.

Re acupuncture I heard good things to when ttc. Didn't do it personallybut worth a try I think

PeanuttyButter · 11/02/2022 07:24

@H0peing what did they prescribe and when. I've got some progesterone here from my last pregnancy and was thinking of taking it when I got my BFP so I didn't need to rush getting an appointment at the epu. But also read that it can be taken straight from ovulation. I spot from about 5dpo so wondering if my progesterone is low and that's why I'm not implanting as I didn't have this issue before my miscarriages. I've also been thinking about starting aspirin. I've got a follow up appointment after initial bloods in March and wanted to have tried something different when I speak with them so I can say "I've tried that, what next".
