Looks good to me @Kelb79 keep us updated xx

Annny27 · 26/03/2022 15:18

It does look like a line and a pink one! @kelb79 can you retake in the morning within time frame? Keeping everything crossed!!!

@peanuttybutter sending so much love 💗 will you start temping so you can have a better idea of ovulation and when to take the progesterone?

@apwilso can you ask to be referred to fertility? As that's where proper testing happens

P.s little update - had a scan today at around 9 weeks and everything looked well 💗🌈

@Kelb79yes it looks like a line to me 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Let us know if you do one tomorrow.

@PeanuttyButter sending you lots of love. I’m so sorry 😘

@Annny27 fantastic news! 💖💙
I had mine yesterday. Little bean measuring 8w5d which is 3 days ahead. I have my NIPT booked in for the 8th April then my official dating scan on the 22nd. Just praying everything comes back ok 🤞🏻🤞🏻

H0peing · 27/03/2022 10:02

@Kelb79 Here is some info about progesterone: www.midirs.org/latest-news/news/2021/updated-nice-guidance-on-miscarriage-using-progesterone-to-help-prevent-pregnancy-loss/

I recommend asking your GP if you try it. It's a natural pregnancy hormone but some women, like me, don't seem to produce enough of it early in pregnancy so it boosts your levels to support your pregnancy. I know a few people who have taken it from bfp with success. Their healthy babies have now arrived.

I also recommend trying to test with a first response early pregnancy test as they seem to be very accurate early on for most people. I hope you get another, even clearer bfp soon! Loads of love Xx

H0peing · 27/03/2022 10:06

@Annny27 Huge Congratulations on your healthy 9 week scan!!!! Really great news! Lots of love Xx

H0peing · 27/03/2022 10:09

@Angelmama1121 Congratulations on your healthy scan measuring 8w5d 3 days ahead! Not long now until your official dating scan! Very excited for you! Loads of love. Xx

Kelb79 · 27/03/2022 11:38

☹️☹️ no line today. Looks like a false positive - my own fault for leaving a test lying around … note to self - always put them in dirty kitchen bin so you don’t get tempted to look again!!!
9DPO BFN (on Mother’s Day 🥳🤦🏼‍♀️☹️) I know it’s early yet but I won’t be getting my hopes up again this month!

PeanuttyButter · 27/03/2022 22:18

You're not out until AF arrives, 9dpo is super early. I didn't get my BFP this last time until 12dpo, stark negative until then. Will think positive thoughts for you xx

Kelb79 · 27/03/2022 23:07

@PeanuttyButter yeeaaahh… I know 😏 I think I’ve just had my fill of getting my hopes up just to be dashed this month, plus the crappiness of Mother’s Day on what would have been my 8 months date 😖 I’m gonna just get my head around todays BFN and try to mentally move onto the next cycle I reckon!
How are you doing lovely? xX

Kelb79 · 27/03/2022 23:55

@H0peing thank you for the progesterone info 🙏🏼🙏🏼 What about taking it after OV?? Is that worth thinking about? @PeanuttyButter did you ask your GP or was it recommended for you?? 🤔🤔

PeanuttyButter · 28/03/2022 09:21

@Kelb79 sorry you're having a crappy time. Mother's Day is a tough one because you're thinking of what could have been, what's not and what may never. All we can do is carry on trying.

GP wouldn't prescribe progesterone. The RMC consultant did. She told me to take it days 21-28 to prolong my luteal phase as I only ovulate on day 14/15 and AF was coming days 23/24. I took it at 3dpo this time as past few cycles ive been bleeding on day 16/17.

apwilso · 28/03/2022 22:12

@Kelb79 I know I was fuming!! No care is there. It's such a shame!! That test though!!! I see a line but you never know leave it a few more days and it might get darker!

@Annny27 she said she won't refer me because I've been pregnant at the minute till my bloods come back which was today. Speaking to her again on Thursday and she said I might have to wait for the 2 year mark as I'm basically normal. My results were fine. Only thing that flagged was my liver which I knew would. Congratulations on your little bean growing well!

Kelb79 · 28/03/2022 22:22

@apwilso ohmygod I know!! That bloody test has messed my head up completely!! I’ve never googled so much in my life!! I keep researching in the hope that I’ll find answers I want to hear 🤣🤣🤣 ffs!!! This journey is cruel!!!!
How old are you? I’m shocked they’re making you wait to the 2 year mark?! There really is no empathy at all!!! 😡

H0peing · 28/03/2022 22:36

@Kelb79 I have friends who have suffered recurrent miscarriages who were told to take it from bfp and that's worked for them as their healthy babies were born recently. I tried it from bfp once but unfortunately miscarried at just under 6 weeks (seen on an early scan) so I personally seemed to need progesterone sooner. That was just before I had my telephone appointment with a gynaecologist for recurrent miscarriage. She then recommended that I take 400mg progesterone twice per day from just after ovulation with low dose aspirin throughout my cycle. I tried that straight away and thankfully that worked this time when I took it from 2 days after I had a peak / still smiley face on my Clearblue ovulation kit. I'm now 34 weeks pregnant with a very healthy looking baby. Hopefully you can talk to your GP about the new guidance you read online for progesterone to check if you can get it. Xx

PeanuttyButter · 30/03/2022 08:51

Girls..hold on to your hats.

BFP followed by 5 days of heavy bleeding and BFN on 2nd day of bleeding.
Cycle day 7 today start of opk testing and got a static smiley. Did a pregnancy test and BFP!! Wtf is going on.

@Kelb79 I know! I'm back on the progesterone and aspirin now. Waiting to hear back from the clinic.
But I feel like a tit. Basically called them to say I'm not pregnant, then to say actually I am. Then said I'm not anymore..then just called back and said I am?!? They must hate my name lol

apwilso · 30/03/2022 10:58

@Kelb79 sorry thought I had replied I'm 26 I know so I'm just going to take a change on my lifestyle and see what happens. Have you retested since?

@PeanuttyButter whatttt! How strange! Congratulations I hope they can get you checked out soon to confirm!

Kelb79 · 30/03/2022 11:14

@PeanuttyButter 🤣🤣 yep, I can imagine how you feel but that is a seriously weird set of events!! I’ve been trying to figure it out and just can’t 😵‍💫🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ But who cares right??! A BFP!!!! 🥳🥳 I’m so so pleased for you!! ❤️❤️

I’ve obviously retested every day 🙄 and had super stark white…. Like whiter than white as if the tests are saying “F. You Kel! No chance! Shouldn’t have looked at a test after the time you fool 🤷🏼‍♀️“ gutted!! ☹️

H0peing · 30/03/2022 12:06

@PeanuttyButter That is a great, very strong, bright line and so amazing!!!! Have you tried getting blood tests to measure your HCG levels? I found that helpful in this pregnancy and that should give you a good idea of when you can have your first scan. Congratulations!!! Xx

PeanuttyButter · 30/03/2022 12:15

@H0peing it's really difficult because the hospital that I'm under the RMC for is not my local hospital and I don't have a direct line to speak with someone. Managed to get a message to someone this morning but not heard anything yet. Im teriffied at the idea of an ectopic 1 because of the early progesterone, 2 because of the bleeding and 3 because I've had diarrhoea for the last week on and off. Not sure my local hospital would scan me seeing as I'm under the care of the other hospital so it's difficult.

kiwi17 · 30/03/2022 15:20

@PeanuttyButter this is so exciting!! Everything crossed for you 😁

Nuggetlover27 · 30/03/2022 17:03

Omg @Annny27 I've just seen your news!! I'm so happy for you!! 🌈❤️
