@apwilso nice to see you back x

@H0peing I will be CD 25 and I usually have a 24 day cycle.
When you were taking the progesterone did it affect your cervix position/firmness? I can usually tell AF is coming as my cervix is low and hard just before but it's been high and soft when pregnant. It's high and medium at the moment and I don't know if it's because of the progesterone or that's just how it is iyswim

H0peing · 17/03/2022 00:01

@PeanuttyButter it may be worth taking it until CD28 / 13dpo as they recommended. I only got a clear positive on all tests, different brands, from 12dpo and obviously you don't want to stop taking it too soon in case you are pregnant. I never checked my cervix position or firmness, sorry. My gynaecologist recommended that I take two low dose aspirin as well as the progesterone pessaries after ovulation. Not sure if they've recommended that for you or maybe you don't need it. I hope that your pain is bearable. Definitely hoping that it's implantation pain. Xx

apwilso · 19/03/2022 20:54

@PeanuttyButter thank you!

I've had the weirdest thing had my period which is never painful or anything and now it's over I'm still getting abdominal pain and backache which is out of the ordinary. Not sure what this could be x

Kelb79 · 20/03/2022 11:58

How is everyone?? Sending love and a big pile of glittery sparkly baby dust as always!!
Seems to be some changes with me this month….
It looks like I OV’d early on CD10 - I’m usually CD11/12. Not a massive change but it messed up my BD planning a bit!!
OH “got his period” around CD8/9! He gets this phase of total depression for a few days pretty much every month. It often ties in with a full moon and far too often ties in with my OV!! Unreal timing! This cycle I actually OV’d on the full moon so we were screwed! (Or not as the case may be 🙄😏)
We managed to DTD on CD6, 8 and 10 (OV Day) so I guess we’re in with a chance but it threw me completely!!
So I’m not sure if the change was a one off, or down to the acupuncture, or maybe down to this last week of crappy non covid man flu!
I still feel pants and me and OH aren’t in great terms - everything’s just been coming to a bit of a head lately 😵‍💫
I’m just trying to work on a bit of self care….
I’m subconsciously putting a lot of pressure onto this next couple of cycles - it’s the last 2 before my would be due date, the last 2 for a Christmas baby (which I know shouldn’t be important but Christmases have got really depressing lately!) and each cycle that goes by takes me closer to having to push to go button on IVF.
So here we are again…. 2DPO…. AF due on bloody April Fools day of all days 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

apwilso · 21/03/2022 21:47

@Kelb79 full moons! Don't I know about them (I'm hard work around them!). are you currently on the fertility list for IVF sorry if you've said before and I've forgot.

I'm on day 7 now. Going to start tracking tomorrow. I'm off work this week and just started slimming world. I'm not happy with myself! So on a downer today

Kelb79 · 21/03/2022 22:01

@apwilso haha! Yeah I’m pretty difficult around full moons too if I’m honest 🙈
So we were on the IVF list - self funded - took 3 months to get a call back to book a consult for next month with a view to starting treatment around late summer!
We’ve decided to say no thanks and have been researching Spanish clinics. Cheaper with a much higher success rate 👌🏼👌🏼
Just giving natural a couple more months then will push the go button 😵‍💫😵‍💫
I hear you on feeling crappy about yourself - lockdowns, MC, Christmas and an all inclusive holiday hit me with 10kg extra weight!! Can’t shift it for love nor money 😫
Try to be kind to yourself though lovely, you’ve got enough to deal with without hating on yourself too ❤️❤️❤️

PeanuttyButter · 22/03/2022 07:18

Sorry everyone is feeling so crap. I've had an awful week myself plus a bereavement I've not stopped crying. Got a BFN at 10dpo so stopped taking my progesterone pesseries. BFN yesterday too at 11dpo with some spotting. Woke this morning thinking AF would be here in full swing but wasn't, just more spotting. Did an IC and got this squinter. I think it's probably going to end up being a chemical though after not having progesterone for 48h. Put one in this morning just incase it helps and ordered FRERS for tomorrow (ordered more OPKs when I stopped my progesterone, but ignored DH when he said gets some tests too).
Might not be able to see it once it's uploaded but theres definitely something.

@PeanuttyButter I definitely see a line! I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Keep us posted x

Annny27 · 22/03/2022 08:51

I can see it too @peanuttybutter hopefully just one day less of progesterone won't cause any issues 🤞🤞🤞 let us know when the frers arrive. Wishing you all the luck!!!

PeanuttyButter · 22/03/2022 09:21

@Annny27 it was 2 days no progesterone. I think it's too late this month based on how much spotting I've had but can only wait and see. Least I've had confirmation that I've ovulated as I didn't think I did as I started bleeding on cycle day 17

Kelb79 · 22/03/2022 09:41

@PeanuttyButter sending love and a massive pile of hope ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️ You just never know!! Great to know you’ve ovulated, that it can happen, just got to work on the stickiness.
I know you don’t want to get your hopes up just in case BUT some women do bleed throughout pregnancy. My mum bled with me right through. I’ve got everything crossed for you xxxxxx

PeanuttyButter · 22/03/2022 10:07

@Kelb79 I think my progesterone is constantly low hence the bleed at day 16/17 so being off it for 2 days might mean the bleeding has passed the point of no return and turned into AF. It's also made me realise that I must have ovulated so much later than usual this month. It's all a learning curve isnt it.

PeanuttyButter · 23/03/2022 08:01

Well my test looks fainter this morning so I suspect it's going to end in a chemical again.
Suppose I'm trying to be optimistic however I've also got to be real and I suspect this isn't my month. I think the only thing keeping AF away is the progesterone. Can't believe the difference in my happiness yesterday compared to today. Didn't want to go to work this morning. Why is this so hard

Annny27 · 23/03/2022 11:06

Sorry to hear this @peanuttybutter :( that really sucks! But promising that the progesterone did probably help

On future cycles probably best to take progesterone up untill 12dpo or similar (my doctor suggested 14dpo and them test and stop if it was negative)

OP posts:
PeanuttyButter · 23/03/2022 20:10

Definitely a chemical as despite taking the progesterone I'm bleeding now and the test is pretty much completely negative. Devastated. Hopefully 5th time lucky next time...

Angelmama1121 · 23/03/2022 20:17

@PeanuttyButter I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending you lots of love. 🥺😘

H0peing · 23/03/2022 23:19

@PeanuttyButter I'm so sorry to hear that you've had such a truly awful week. Devastating. The 5th time was the lucky one for me. I sincerely hope it is for you too! I definitely think you should keep taking the progesterone up until at least 13dpo as they recommended. I think I was really low on progesterone so that was the only thing that seemed to help top the progesterone up enough to support a pregnancy. I'm definitely believing that progesterone will work for you very soon too! Sending loads of love. Xx

Kelb79 · 23/03/2022 23:32

@PeanuttyButter I’m so so sorry lovely ❤️❤️ It’s bloody heartbreaking! Sending you so much love xxxxxxxx

PeanuttyButter · 24/03/2022 13:56

AF is almost in full swing. Stopped the progesterone this morning. Sigh.

Kelb79 · 25/03/2022 09:33

☹️☹️☹️ I’m so gutted for you @PeanuttyButter ❤️❤️❤️
We can all say “at least you know you can get pregnant” and yeah, that’s true of course, but it doesn’t make it any the less utterly shite!!
Hope you’re ok lovely xxxxx

Can anyone explain the whole progesterone thing to me?? Who needs it? Would it be worth me asking about?? I’ve gad my levels tested before and they were apparently fine but I have a slightly short cycle (26 days) so maybe a short luteal phase? I bled with pregnant which ended in the MMC. I’ve recently started bleeding between 2-4 days before AF….
I don’t know whether it’s something that might help or not 🤔 and do you just speak to your GP? My fertility team seem to have given up on me since getting pregnant despite the MC, they’ve just referred for IVF and left all the investigations alone 🤷🏼‍♀️

7 DPO today, half hopeful as I’ve made some changes this month (full month of acupuncture and Chinese meds, used conceive plus every BD, tried the fertililly cup…..) but less hopeful as we only DTD 3 times (cd 6, 8, 10) and I OV’d early on day 10 🤔

We’ll see I guess! AF due on April fools day ffs! 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄🤣

Hope everyone’s doing ok? xX

apwilso · 25/03/2022 17:06

I've been for my first doctors appointment to check fertility and let's say I left stunned.

She asked me my background of fertility explained I was pregnant last year and lost it at 6 weeks and her response was well surely there's no problem then if you've been pregnant before. She's spoke to me in a condescending way. I explained we didn't know if it was me, my partner or a timing issues which she just kept telling me I've got pregnant before so just a timing problem. she did a full blood count which I can ring up for on Monday. She took my height and weight asked for my smoking and drinking history which is put me down as an ex smoker even though I told her it was socially and on occasion 😅😵. Very dismissive and came away thinking what a waste of time.

Kelb79 · 26/03/2022 10:30

@apwilso 🤬🤬🤬 that is awful!!! How horrible! I’m so sorry!!
The fertility teams do definitely seem to just concern themselves with getting rather than starting pregnant and a single pregnancy does seem to get you written off. My tram have basically just given up with me too. I think it’s shocking. My pregnancy took 2 years TTC and lost it at 9 weeks so there’s something wrong but not in their eyes any more. They just packed me off for IVF! 😡

Kelb79 · 26/03/2022 12:34

Ok….. I know the rules….. I know 8DPO is waaay too early to test but my POAS addiction has become strong….. and I know that reading a test outside of the test window is a no….
But…

I tested this morning, no sign of a line during the test window. Left the test lying around and when I went to bin it there’s a definite hint if a line!! I’m obviously trying to stay calm and not get carried away because I know the rules…. BUT??!!!
It’s an easy@home test which always go stark white…. I can’t help but get my hopes up 😫😫 (yes, I’ve already cried!! Ffs!!)
What do you think guys???!!! Any experience of this?? Please help me stay sane, I’m not sure I can handle this 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Can you see the line? It’s defo there in person!

Kelb79 · 26/03/2022 12:48

Ffs!! I just re-read my message and realised how totally not calm I am!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I need help 🤣🤣 I’ve obviously googled the hell out of this already!! Lots of people saying the evap lines on easy@home are grey/purple and pink lines have turned out as BFP - my teeny little line if defo pink 🙈🙈 I’m trying so hard not to get carried away 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

kiwi17 · 26/03/2022 13:45

Looks like a line to me @Kelb79 !! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞
