Continuation of our last thread…

All of us TTC and in different cycles and stages of our journey.

Helping eachother through the TWW, through the confusing days of OPK/BBT testing and charts, through all of the symptom spotting, the dreaded arrival of AF and the BFP announcements! 😊✨

January was a very lucky month for some who got their BFP and some of us are ready to make February our month!

With giggles and lots of support along the way.

I have also read that after losing a baby/pregnancy you are more fertile so trying straight away if you feel ready has that positive point atleast. Sending you lots of baby dust for your sticky bean this time ✨✨✨

@Newbiemg I'm (half) glad to be back with you all properly as it's my favourite group on mumsnet by faaaar! Definitely, I've heard lots of people catch again straight away. Just don't want to get my hopes up too much!

I'm also 29 ttc #1 cycle 3 now 😊 turn 30 next month so I should be able to drink on my birthday atleast! X

@5manc that's one bonus! I was going to wait until after my birthday to start this journey to be able to drink on my 30th buuuut realised I rarely drink anyway 😂

I'm at a hen doo the first weekend in March down Brighton, I will be the only sober one as I'm trying to stay away from alcohol in general, should be interesting explaining that one haha!

@Newbiemg glad you've chilled and please don't worry too much. I would say that if you are at all concerned about not ovulating you can ask your GP for blood tests. Because of my age and some hormonal symptoms I had, I asked for blood tests in November before TTC and whilst they weren't ideal (had some concerning hormonal imbalances) what WAS v comforting was that they checked my luteal phase progesterone and it was normal indicating I'm ovulating. But the likelihood is you are ovulating every month as you're having periods. And you're timing sex etc. The main reason I sometimes get antsy about ovulation is because my coparent is 100 miles away so it can be really hard to reschedule inseminations but if your coparent sleeps next to you then you can be a bit more flexible I think. Hoping you see a comforting temp rise tomorrow!

Fertility Friend is really horrible looking isn't it? Not at all sexy - reminds me of doing maths on a computer in the 90s at school lol. But I've come around to it because it's kind of the gold standard for BBT and it's got a really accurate algorithm I think, especially when you are inputting other signs like OPK tests and EWCM as well as temping. I also really like the crosshairs it gives you once it's confirmed ovulation and the coverline and luteal line. I was using a bunch of apps but now just use FF for almost everything even though it's ugly as hell.

@RMS0209 in terms of food you sound good :) the things I'be added in this month are pineapple (especially the core - so I just chop up whole pineapples and eat slices) and Brazil nuts to support the luteal phase, and grapefruit/gf juice to help with EWCM in the runup to ovulation. I'm also eating lots of salmon, eggs, leafy veg, pulses etc and generally trying to be healthy (with the odd burger or ice cream chucked in there lol)

Not much to report here at 7dpo EXCEPT I had an enormous BBT dip this morning - will post a pic in a minute. Am assuming it's an estrogen related dip and I got one last month but much smaller. I don't really feel anything this month at all. Hope your symptoms are a good sign @SMD16

Could be @Newbiemg - I had a dip last month too but nothing this extreme. Not getting excited though - determined to be a cucumber this month!

@SMD16 I quite enjoyed just having tonic waters so I'd definitely recommend that if you are trying to hide it haha!

Glad you got that extra shag in @Newbiemg! My OPKs stay pretty high the day after peak so that could be the same for you last night? This morning looks more like it. Like the others have said, trust your body. Ovulation can be 36 hours after peak so you were well within the window. Welcome to the TWW. 1 dpo here…

@Emmah120595 hello! I ovulated yesterday too and am also getting married in April! Snap! Im currently on cycle 2 of TTC number 1.

@Mays12 ooh the end is in sight! Cheapies may show a positive at 12dpo but think a FRER would be more reliable (she says, refusing to buy any FRER and using cheapies from 8dpo 😂).

I love your positive mindset @5manc. I have also heard your extra fertile after loss, so hopefully you’ll get another BFP (and a super sticky one) very soon. The purple method sounds interesting. And like it requires a lot of energy 😂

Share some of that cucumber energy @lakejupiter! Oh my, maybe it is an implantation dip! Does fertility friend let you compare graphs with other people?

Ooh, good question about the food recommendations @RMS0209 - there's loads of good suggestions! Maybe if I start making adjustments this early on in this crazy journey I may develop some good habits haha :)

I know I’ve been in meltdown mode this week lol but I am interested to see what happens with my temps because sorry tmi but I get barely any cm before ovulation but then I get loads after. Today I’ve had to use a panty liner because its so much but now I’m thinking do I actually ovulate later than I realise and this time where I get loads of cm perhaps is before/during ovulation and not after as I thought 🤔

I will find out in the next couple of days I guess!x

@5manc hope you're doing okay 🤍 I just checked the last time we had dtd was on CD 6, so going to try that method , it's crazy how many people say when to dtd isn't it. I've also heard of that other one SEMP or something (pretty sure that was wrong but along those lines 🤣) ? & the fact people say don't have bd too much as well it's so overwhelming.

Not due to ovulate till Sunday so might give it a few days for him to recharge as the fertility clinic called and said they normally need guys to go back 3/4 times as they fill 20 straws but he managed enough for them to fill 16 straws in one go they were impressed 🤣🤣 so might let him re charge and then go at it like 🐇 .
