Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X
**@RosyappleA* & @Purple29* thanks for letting me know. I've had a colposcopy before so I'm wondering if it's the same thing?

Purple I'm so sorry to hear about your ectopic, I hope you're doing okay, that must have been very tough.
Could I ask you what symptoms you had and how early on they started?
I had spotting for a few weeks, which is why I contacted the EPU. I had slight pain in my lower back but really not much pain. The dr was amazed I wasn't in pain, when he did the op my tube was bleeding so was almost at the point of rupture (I would have been 7 weeks) im doing ok. I think.

@DancinOnTheCeling of course you can stay.... its so good to hear a pregnancy progressing. That's why I liked that method. Much more relaxed and felt so much better not using sticks everyday. Meant we enjoyed it so much more. I honestly can't stop smiling for you!!!!

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 08:53

I was between 5-6weeks pregnant and yes all within 10hrs, was 18m ago, very unplanned. I was actually having a termination the following week as it was very much not a good time. Even now I feel it was a punishment 😔

I struggled a lot afterwards, my OH didn’t really get it. I was lucky in that I knew the doctors and gynae nurses as I’m a midwife in that hospital. I knew I was in good hands and could trust them

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 08:55

@Curlywurly3 7dpi also. Symptom spotting like hell!!!

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 09:00

@Purple29 it wasn’t long ago was it? I found I struggled for a good few months afterwards. The random crying stopped after about 2months

Purple29 · 02/02/2022 09:09

@MummyMe87 no it was only on hogmanay I had the operation. Physically the wounds have healed fine now and the stitches dissolved.

Mentally I'm a bit all over the place, I haven't cried really yet, but I think about it all the time. So I'm still struggling to get my head around it all.

I was already still recovering from PTSD from the birth of my DS (10 weeks early) and the subsequent NICU stay. So this has just knocked me back a bit. My gp has been amazing though.

Mariabombia · 02/02/2022 09:15

Thank you for sharing your stories @Purple29 & @MummyMe87 I can't imagine how difficult that was for you. & I'm quite shocked at how two people can have such different symptoms with it.

@MummyMe87 Please be kind to yourself, it was totally out of your control 💕 nothing you could have done differently would have changed anything love. Life can be so bloody tough sometimes.

I'm glad you have supportive friends and colleagues at work, it makes a world of difference if you have someone who understands what you're going through.

HelloNope · 02/02/2022 09:32

I just dropped DC2 off to pre school, she's 3 in May and this week I've ditched the buggy and we've been walking... I just got back to my 3 hours all to myself and I'm thinking I'm mad to TTC Dc3 with this much freedom....!

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 09:41
@DancinOnTheCeiling thank you so much for your message - all of that information will defiantly give people on here that have been trying a little while hope! As for your DTD day 5... I had a little chuckle to myself because we also had a "fun day" that first day when DH got his favourite thing ... if you get my drift. Agree, it takes the pressure off and DH couldn't do it every day now. I'm a 28 day cycle girl (except when having chemicals 🙄 and then it's longer), and this month we've DTD on 7,10,14&15. Had to modify slightly due to house guests. But I'm almost certain I didn't O until morning of CD16, so hoping 14&15 did the trick!

And of course you can stay on this thread! We'd like to know how you get on!
Thanks @mightbeyesmightbeno, hurray for the fun day 🥳🥳. Sounds like you’re in with a good chance 🤞🏻🤞🏻, rooting your for and everyone else xx

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 09:42

Aw thank you @Purple29, what a kind message. Everyone is so supportive on here. Lots of baby dust to you and everyone xx

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 09:46

So sorry to read the heart breaking stories some of you have experienced 🥲. I have a lot of catching up to do but just wanted to say I’m thinking of everyone and hoping everyone is healthy and will have BFPs very soon (and sticky beans) xx

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 09:54

@HelloNope 😂😂 also TTC #3, my other two 7 and 4, so also get some free time like today I have 6hrs freedom! Some people think it’s mad once you get your freedom back and sleep back to go back to the beginning, but I need me time back again. I need to have sleep and mentally do things for me. I really enjoy the baby part, but think i would struggle if I had very young kids

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 10:19

@Curlywurly3 when do you plan to test? I’m holding out for 10dpo which is Saturday. I’ve avoided today which was strong of me! Of course it would be negative. Am going to buy some FRER today but from boots as Amazon ones seem to always have indents. I have a few cheapies but not quite as sensitive as FRER, they are 10miu versus 6.5miu. AF is due 9th (next Wednesday).
I was feeling quietly confident this month, but CM seems to be getting less which makes me feel less positive, and less cramps now

Bundaberg84 · 02/02/2022 10:21

@Mariabombia I had an ectopic as well, and it was similar to @Purpleflowers17 experience. I spotted, the day AF was due and I thought, well, AF showed up. But it didn't, so I took another test and I got a positive. Spotting never stopped, it got worse when I moved around, like walking the dog. My OB-GYN told me to take a high dosage of magnesium, but it didn't work. Scan showed nothing at 5 weeks something so we tested hcg levels all 48 hours, first they doubled, then they didn't. I got referred to the hospital with "pregnancy undisclosed location". They found an embrio attached to my right tube, already 4,5cm. Had to have surgery the same day.
No pain at all though, but everything felt "off" if that makes sense. I was happy when I got the positive test, but somewhere deep down I knew something wasn't right. Really odd.

Curlywurly3 · 02/02/2022 10:26

@MummyMe87 same as you, going to test on Saturday. AF due Tuesday. I have 3 FRER’s in my draw so it’s going to be hard not to test before then! I won’t feel the need to test today or tomorrow but Friday will be hard. 9DPO is still so early so I have to try and be strong!! 💪🏻

Bless you @Bundaberg84 i hope you're okay now 💕I'm really surprised you both didn't have pain!

Bundaberg84 · 02/02/2022 10:46

@Mariabombia thank you lovely, it's been 6 months now and I'm alright. If I get a BFP, I think I will turn into a scared chicken though :)
I think it also depends on where exactly in the tube it is located. There was no bleeding (yet) but it wouldn't have taken much longer before it would have ruptured.

HelloNope · 02/02/2022 10:49

@MummyMe87 7 and 4 are good ages, enjoy your 6 hours! My two are still younger but I think once the eldest starts school it won't be too bad...?! I don't know.
People will think i'm mad as I always get the "you have a boy and a girl, close the shop now!"
So rude...! It also makes me want to have another as I don't like to be told what to do 😂

Mariabombia · 02/02/2022 11:00

@Bundaberg84 ah okay, yeah trying to conceive and pregnancy is all just scary isn't it. I never realised how many different things could happen before we started trying.
Hopefully a healthy pregnancy will happen soon for all of us🤞🏻❤️

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 11:04

@Mariabombia the blood I believe causes the pain and my consultant said my tube was super damaged (only seen during surgery as was too much blood to see on scan) and blood everywhere. When I had the scan I was in agony, as soon as they put the probe in I screamed which told me immediately what it was as I was pre warned if there is a lot of blood i would jump off the bed. Such a horrible time, plus was in the middle of covid which made it ever more difficult

Mariabombia · 02/02/2022 11:06

@MummyMe87 oh love that sounds so scary, I'm so sorry for you that you had to go through all that, especially during covid. Sending you a big big hug xxx

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 11:08

But remember @Mariabombia majority of pregnancies are absolutely fine and successful ♥️

Mariabombia · 02/02/2022 11:15

@MummyMe87 indeed 😁 ❤️ really can't wait for that, hope it happens soon

Tinkerbell098 · 02/02/2022 11:15

@DancinOnTheCeiling thanks lovely for sharing your TWW with us. Hope the tooth ache and the thrush is ok now. Get lots of rest. Of course you can stick around here, would love to hear how you are getting on. Your story gives me hope. How long have you been TTC? I have also increased the COQ10 I'm taking to 400mg from this cycle so hoping it'll help going forward. Also increased the amount of folate I'm taking.

Worryant · 02/02/2022 12:53

@DancinOnTheCeiling thank you for your wonderful update! So so happy for you and your other half. Thank you for acknowledging the age thing-ill be 39 this year so it has been in the back of my mind. Have also taken notes on your DTD schedule! Hope that doesn’t sound weird…😂 Thank you and congrats again! Xx
