Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X
@DancinOnTheCeiling thank you for your wonderful update! So so happy for you and your other half. Thank you for acknowledging the age thing-ill be 39 this year so it has been in the back of my mind. Have also taken notes on your DTD schedule! Hope that doesn’t sound weird…😂 Thank you and congrats again! Xx
Thanks so much @Worryant, not weird at all. I’ve shared so much on here: about my thrush/BV/raw lady parts 🤣, that I’ve lost my orgasm, that OH dtd ‘by himself’ etc. It all seems ok on MN! As for the schedule, we did use the @Purple29 method though so just checking what your cycle length is as your ‘schedule’ might need to be different?

Worryant · 02/02/2022 13:30

@DancinOnTheCeiling - ah good shout - I saved the graphic that was posted from Purple so am going to adjust it. I need to get my cycle clear in my head, I’ve been tracking on period app but I think I’m going to use OPKs for next month to try and work out when I ovulate. It’s such early days and I’m learning so much….makes me realise how complicated it is which makes your good news story even more joyous! Xx

mightbeyesmightbeno · 02/02/2022 14:58

Hmmm ok. So random ish call from GP today. I had bloods & USS (internal/external) done a couple of weeks ago. Call today he basically said everything was "sort of OK" but he was going to refer me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic because of "some abnormalities" and the fact I've had 2 chemicals. I questioned him and said I thought that the recurrent miscarriage clinic was just for if you'd had 3 or more actual miscarriages / not chemicals. But he said that because of some of the results he be happier to refer me.

So!

Clear as mud!

I asked him to explain the results to me and what he meant but he just said that it wasn't really his area of expertise and he'd rather refer me to the clinic incase they want to investigate further. I then get a call an hour later and they want to book me for in 3 weeks time!

So now I'm really anxious. Either something is wrong and no one is telling me (this is based on his vagueness and the speed of the appointment when in my mind I'm not exactly an urgent case / wouldn't class myself as having a problem yet) OR he's basically a crap GP and really doesn't know anything / has just gone worse case scenario and made urgent referral?!?!

I'm hoping it's the latter. Appointment 24th Feb.

Mariabombia · 02/02/2022 16:06

@mightbeyesmightbeno not sure if this is great advice but this is something I'd do-could you ask for a copy of your results and then try to figure out what's what?

Tinkerbell098 · 02/02/2022 16:18

@mightbeyesmightbeno how confusing! I agree with @Mariabombia I'd get a copy of the results and try and make sense of it. Sorry it's not great advice, but I would go mad for another three weeks if I didn't know what the hell he meant.

mightbeyesmightbeno · 02/02/2022 16:23

Yes I could do this. Slightly worried it will make me worry... but I guess I'll worry either way 🤷🏻‍♀️

Natalie2304 · 02/02/2022 16:24

Sorry ladies been really busy today and been trying to catch up. Sorry if I miss anyone...

@Purple29 im so sorry to read what you've been through. I remember you from previous threads and you are quite famous on MN at the min! 😅 it sounds awful what happened to you and hopefully you'll be feeling much better in yourself soon. Sending lots of love and buckets of baby dust 😘

@DancinOnTheCeiling thanks for sharing your TWW experience. We didn't intentially follow the purple method as I couldn't work out what I would need to do for my cycle but following what you have put I think we more or less have done that. 🤞🏻 it works! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy ❤️

@MummyMe87 very sorry for your loss. It's hard trying anyway but I know from experience the anxiety that comes following a loss. Sending lots of love.

@HelloNope my DD is just 2.5 and she's just started being able to help me out, play on her own for a bit, she can talk really well, sleeps loads better and I can't help sway between it will be easier now she's more independent and what the hell am I doing?! 😂

@Bundaberg84 so many of these saddening losses. I'm so sorry sending you lots of baby dust xxx

@mightbeyesmightbeno definitely agree with @Mariabombia you're more than entitled to see them. I'd definitely push to get them. Might help ease your anxiety.

An update from me. 4DPO today and I just really feel positive this month. I know that's how you should be but I'm worried about being disappointed. My symptoms seem to be different this month and I just feel differently about it. I know this early on you wouldn't know and I'm probably being stupid but a little bit of positivity never hurt anyone right?!

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 16:32

Symptoms today at 7dpo, still getting small amounts of mucus when wiping, my boobs continue to be so bloody painful and I checked my cervix today and it’s super swollen (I’m hoping from blood pulsating through due to a pregnancy!!!)

RosyappleA · 02/02/2022 16:56

@Natalie2304 deffo stay positive! We have enough disappoint once AF kicks in. Hoping this time it doesn’t. Hope your instinct is right, fingers crossed. I had a good instinct about this month but it’s gone now that i feel like i have been 3DPO for about a week 😂😫.

@MummyMe87 your symptoms sound so positive!

Cookiedough123 · 02/02/2022 17:09

I'm 4DPO now. Had a headache most of the day on and off. Got horrendous toothache but know that's my wisdom tooth coming through and also probably giving me a headache!!

MummyMe87 · 02/02/2022 17:36

@RosyappleA I keep thinking they are good symptoms, setting myself up to be disappointed 😫

Purple29 · 02/02/2022 17:55

@MummyMe87 we all do it!!! Ive been feeling really tired and today a bit nauseous and noticed I'm peeing quite a bit!!! I only dtd on days 13 and 14. So probably no chance. Not even sure it was a proper period!!!
If it was then AF would be due on Friday, so I'm 12DPO. I'm going to hold out till sat to test tho!!!

MrsSamRowley · 02/02/2022 18:58

Hi ladies, I'm lurking here still and hearing all of your positive symptoms and feelings and have my fingers crossed for all of you. I'm still only on CD9 and plodding along waiting for my fertile days (I always ovulate late) but will be pestering my husband soon! I'm away for a night at the weekend so hoping that'll allow me to be a bit more chilled out about missing a day but we'll see!

Natalie2304 · 02/02/2022 20:38

Still trying to keep my uterus as warm as possible! 😂 Wheat bag on tummy and fluffy socks with feet then wrapped in a blanket every evening! Being even more mindful of it seen as implantation will happen in the next few days if it's our month! 🤞🏻

Yes! This worked for me 👍🏼
RosyappleA · 02/02/2022 21:37

Lol if there is one thing I have learnt from this thread it is to keep my socks on😂. My ugg boots have also received a lot of love from me these past few weeks.

Bundaberg84 · 02/02/2022 22:34

Thank you @Natalie2304! And fingers crossed for you, too. I'm typing while being cuddled in a blanket as well :)

TeddyBeans · 02/02/2022 22:49

Love a pair of fluffy socks!

6DPO here, had a whole load of ewcm today and just had a teeny little crampy episode. Could be implantation cramps, could be the cold I am sporting currently 🤦‍♀️ who knows!

kizzy97 · 02/02/2022 23:23

CD15 for me today and still no positive OPK, looks like I could be in for a longer cycle this month

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 23:34

@Worryant yes might be a good idea to use OPKs for a bit.. my understanding of the purple method is that it works well if you know your cycles quite well.. and if you roughly know when to ovulate as then you can use the purple method without OPKs.. good luck with it all xx

TheBirdintheCave · 02/02/2022 23:35

@MrsSamRowley I’m CD9 too :) Good luck to you! :D It should still be ten days til I ovulate though I seem to have the beginnings of EWCM. My body is doing weird things at the moment.

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 23:35

Aw @mightbeyesmightbeno that sounds so confusing, no wonder you’re anxious. How annoying that the GP was so vague. I don’t know what to advice, just wanted to say am thinking of you xx

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 23:37

Thank you @Natalie2304. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you xx

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 23:38

Ps @Natalie2304 trust your gut feeling.. maybe it’s telling you something. Some people seem to just know before their BFP - maybe that’s you? Xx

DancinOnTheCeiling · 02/02/2022 23:41

Oh by the way @ everyone I too have been wearing thick socks as have heard it can help, so put those socks on ladies 🧦🧦🧦 xx
