Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

Thanks everyone, you’re all so sweet. The support here is so amazing 💕💕. I ended up putting nice pink tissue paper and the test in a LTF test box (we do LTFs daily), handed box to him and said ‘I’m doing my LTF tonight cuz my throat hurts. I can’t open the box, can you open it for me?’. He opened the box and then was like ‘whaaat’. Then we hugged for ages and giggled like kids.. now just so happy. He was and is so over the moon. DH said when he opened the box he first thought ‘that’s a big lateral flow test’ 🤣🤣, then it dawned on him that it was a BFP when he saw the pink paper..

Everyone is so kind. I’ll reply to everyone’s questions as soon as I can, I’m soo tired now and need my bed.. Should mention I started fertility reflexology so this plus the @Purple29 method is what might’ve done the trick.. hoping for lots more BFPs for everyone xxx

@DancinOnTheCeling I'm not sure famous.... what a lovely night for you both finding out. Im def feeling some pre AF cramps so think she's on her way.... didn't expect to catch it this month tho. Only DTD the day I would normally ovulate and the day after. On to next month!!!!

I leave for a while and I get removed from the list?! How did that happen 😂

4dpo here. Usually I would have a stack of FRERs ready to go, but I was getting sooo many indent lines and I could see second lines straight out of the packet, that I’m not going to do that any more!

So I need to find a decent 10iu test before next Tuesday - Easy at Home maybe?

So Im only 3DPO this morning and already I had felt sick. My logical side of me is saying.. it is too soon to have any symptoms and I was also too hot this morning and always feel sick when I too hot 😂

@Peonies94 I will hopefully be about 10DPO. I think I am meant to ovulate tomorrow but it’s confusing as my ovulation has been really delayed due to a chemical! I tend to get early positives but have had a few chemicals.

@Decaffe I just use the internet cheapies if testing before my period! They do show early but really faint. I don’t want to waste money on proper tests until after period date as I get chemicals!

Currently 2dpo I'm so disheartened with it all if I'm honest. I've had very lucid dreams about doctors telling me I'm stupid and too old for trying. Playing on my mind that I just turned forty. And when I was much younger it didn't take me long to get pregnant. Just took a lot to keep hold of them. I don't think it's going to happen for us, we are booking a private fertility appt if it doesn't work this month x

@Bundaberg84 so jealous of that fancy hotel stay and the prosecco…

@oldermam your not too old although I know the longer it doesn’t happen the more we worry. My aunt had three girls one after the other at 40 after 11 years of trying with no intervention having given up on IVF. They tried everything. The only thing she mentioned is she was less stressed by then they got a house after hears of struggling etc. I just wanna say don’t give up yet! Good idea about the fertility appointment regardless just in case there isn’t a point waiting around even though it can happen naturally…and it may take the stress off a bit that you're doing something more proactive. Have your been tracking your cycles are you ovulating? Good luck

Bit late to the party but OMG congartulations @DancinOnTheCeiling - such a strong line! Is it weird that I like looking at positive pregnancy tests even when they're not mine?! Visualisation and all that?!

The @Purple29 method sounds interesting - definitely feels like it would take the pressure off a bit, DH and I DTD 12 days in a row last month and by the end it was very perfunctory!

Weirdly my period only just ended and I'm on CD8 but noticed EWCM when I went to the loo just now so was thinking of pouncing on DH when I get home just in case. Will then try and leave it until CD11 and see how we go from there. We're staying with my parents this weekend so that means CD12 is a no go at least!

@oldermam Honesly your not stupid for trying at 40. I think it’s a great idea to go to the doctors if it doesn’t work this month but hopefully fingers crossed for you it does.

I also think at any age it can get hard, funny enough I was just thinking the same I’m only 28 and was thinking it didn’t take as long when I was younger ( was pregnant with daughter at 20, son at 22 ). It’s been over a year of officially tracking ovulation and 5 without protection without really trying. I have two already so I’m afraid the doctor is going to tell me not to even bother having a check up but the feeling of not being fulfilled without another is eating away at me. I know there’s a lot of difference in ages and how hard it is but wanted to let you know your not alone in your worrying.

Hopefully in 10 days we will be hearing of a bfp from you.

I'm doing easy@home opks and using the premom app. Have used it since the coil came out 6 months ago. Time is flying! I get peaks. But last month I got two. They usually peak for 2/3 days. This month it was only one day then it dropped right back down again, but I have had ovulation signs and my cycles have been 26-29 days long. Which tells me I'm still working the way I should.

We've had so much sadness since Christmas tbh I think I'm just feeling a little low. My youngest son tested positive for Covid on the weekend but was at his dads so it stuck there now for possibly ten days too. I'm missing him being around the house being cheeky,

I'm off to a new social group with my friend tonight. I'm still not back at work either and don't feel ready to go back but maybe I need to get back to shift my focus 🙈

Thank you! It is only our fifth month. But it's never taken this long before. I think that's why it's playing on my mind.
