Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

@Brunette1989 good to hear that your progesterone came back ok, that's a good start to the checks.
Has OH flat out refused to have the tests? Why doesn't he want them?
How long have you been TTC? Xxx

I've had a dip on my OPKs today and wondering if it's normal? Been 0.18 since I started on Sunday and today it's 0.07?

@kizzy97 mine has been up and down all week. FW started yesterday. The best line I've had so far came up just then but it still only got me a 0.2 was expecting higher 😂

@Brunette1989 that’s tough OH not wanting to do the sample. Do you think he’ll come around if you have a heart to hear and tell him how much this means to you?

@kizzy97 I use the CB OPK’s so I’m sorry I can’t help you there, hopefully someone else can shortly x

Does anyone else feel like they don’t want to pee for like 3 days after BD so the little swimmers have a better chance of staying up there?! Jeez, who even am I anymore?! I really hope nobody can see my search history on my phone!

DH and I just spent our lunch hour in bed and then I shoved a pillow under my butt for a bit because why not 🙈 It was really nice actually, he chased me up the stairs and we had fun which is so refreshing after having emotional discussions for a long time of me wanting another baby and him not. It’s such a relief he is on board now. Roll on TWW, let’s be having you!

@Natalie2304 he hasn't refused but when I spoke about it when I went for my blood tests and said they would probably need to test him he was very uptight about it. Think he just sees it that because we got pregnant before and miscarried it won't be an issue with him, which is probably right but they won't keep checking me till he's ruled out.
We've been trying for just under a year with a miscarriage in June. I went to the doctors early and fibbed said we had been trying for a year and a half. I know how long it takes for them to start looking, I'm 33 in April and this would be our 1st baby so I don't feel I have the time to wait and presume everything is OK.
@Curlywurly3 yeh I think I'm just going to have to emphasise how many tests I will have to go through so actually his one isn't that bad, it's just embarrassing for him really xxx

@Purple29 yes you’re right, they aren’t connected, as a midwife I should have known that 😂 only found out upon research after my ectopic. When you ovulate your tubes start suctioning you grab the egg, so yes my left could get right ovary eggs just a bit less likely.

@Brunette1989 did you really lie to GP about how long you'd been TTC? Is this common? 😬

@Curlywurly3 my DH was exactly the same. He agreed we could have our second about 18 months ago....but not yet. It took me a year for him to commit to a time when we could start TTC and now he wants to DTD every day! 😂🙈 I feel so bad now saying no sorry we need to let those sperms build up 😂

@Brunette1989 at least he didn't flat out refuse and I don't know if it's just the men I know but I think men have a tendency to be uptight about things like this as they feel it questions their manhood. When I asked my DH to start having walnuts every day to improve his sperm (even though there is no reason to assume there is a problem with it) he said there's no reason his swimmers are top notch 🙄 (he used to have walnuts as a snack so it's not even like it's a problem for him!)
I'd probably just have a sit down with him and explain your concerns.
And if it makes you feel any better, I had my DD at 30 and every mum group I was a part of I was by far the youngest there and everyone was only on their first. (I'm also 33 in April and worked out that if this is the month my 12 weeks scan will be around my birthday 🤞🏻)
I hope you manage to sort things out and that this ends up being your month so you dont even need any more tests ❤️

I don’t know about Brunette, but this is what my friend advised me to do… she did it… so did I. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Glad I did now given that it really is taking a while as it means I am already on the waiting list for further investigations.

Whaaat!! Please can you explain more?!

@Decaffe I wish I had lied now! Referred to fertility back in August, and still waiting for the first appointment. So it's already been more than 5 months. I bet it will be close to two years of trying when they finally call me in! Even to get an ultrasound scan done I've had to wait three months.

@lakejupiter they can't exactly prove you haven't been trying (unless you've been on contraception that they've prescribed you!)
As I'm 33 in April if I get to 6 months I'm going to go and say it's been longer 🤫

@MummyMe87 oh wow! I did not know that! How interesting! That's great as I know a few people who lost one of the tubes due to an ectopic. I thought that meant they only had 6 chances a year!

Sooo my ovulation is missing 😂 Ever since I have been tracking, it has been CD9-13. Usually 12 or 13 and only earlier due to Covid jabs.

Well, today is CD13 so I was expecting an OPK peak yesterday, and… nothing!

I am so confused?!

If I don’t get a peak today I’m going to be worried!

@lakejupiter yeh I did and I don't feel bad. I had a miscarriage and all the nurses said were it's common, which may be right but doesnt help you feel ok about it. I feel at the age I am if I have something wrong then I have limited time to get it resolved so if I have to add a few months on so they listen then so be it. Everyone's different, if I was 25 and in the same position I wouldn't of gone to the doctors yet but I'm not
@Natalie2304 yeh I think you're right about the manhood, as I remember when we got pregnant one of the first things he said was oh well atleast I know it works ha ha
That's good to know about the groups and mums around the same age, I think because all my friends had them younger I feel like the only one whereas actually it's probably quite normal.

I even used my conception cup last night and still laid there with my legs in the air for 20 mins 😂🙈

I also only have one tube due to an ectopic. My OB-GYN said I should think of my remaining tube as one of these hahaha

That being said, I don't think that the chances of conceiving are the same now. While the left tube can pick up an egg from the right side, it won't do that all the time. Also you don't ovulate one month from the left side and next from the right, so it might be possible you ovulate from the "wrong" side all the time.

@Brunette1989 36 going on 37 over here - you're fine. Do be mindful that there are lots of people needing NHS help & the system relies on us all being honest.

I’ve got some Ov twinges going on in my left side, three hours after BD… If I don’t get a BFP in two weeks I’ll… Well, I don’t know what I’ll do but I won’t be happy!

Cd11 for me here, will be entering FW in a day or two I think. Still empty circle on the CB OPKs. We DTD last night with the idea (my idea, DH is none the wiser on all this stuff 😂) that now we'll wait a couple of nights and then hopefully his swimmers will build up a bit.

@Natalie2304 I used conception cup last night too but was so tired and falling asleep so I went and took it out because I'm not sure it's safe to sleep with it in?! 🤷🏻‍♀️
but..... it was so hard to get in. And I end up standing up to be able to get it in far enough so I figured it is probably pointless doing that ... and I'd be better staying lying down?!

@mightbeyesmightbeno I'm back on CD3 having a brutal AF after a false positive/indent line FRER at the weekend - gutted! Hope Feb is luckier 💕
