Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

@Purple29 ah thank you, I hope so 🤞🏻🙏🏻

ShinyEyes33 · 25/01/2022 19:53

Can I ask what might be a silly question - if you don't notice much (if any) EWCM, can sperm still live inside for a few days?

Curlywurly3 · 25/01/2022 19:53

So I bought another box of OPKs as I ran out today before I got my peak. I’ve just done one now and I got my static smiley using the same digital stick. Out of interest I then did another one with the new dígital stick and got a clear circle even though the test line is darker than the control line. I know the digital stick ‘remembers’ the progress on the OPK’s so it’s definitely beneficial to start testing a good few days than your expected ovulation.

The month of valentines, pancakes and lot’s of BFP’s! 🤞🏻❤️

@Curlywurly3 I think a new stick always shows up as blank circle the first time you use it so it can take a bass reading, lucky you tested on the old one too 🙌🏻

Curlywurly3 · 25/01/2022 20:00

I use the Natural Cycles app and now I have my static smiley it’s moved ovulation to Thursday. I always presumed you ovulate the day after your static. I don’t temp so I guess I’ll never know!

I’ve been doing the @Purple29 method. BD on CD6, CD10, CD12 (today) and due to on CD14 which is Thursday. I know there’s no definite’s on what is right and wrong but when do you ladies think we should have some sexy time to increase our chances?! ☺️

Oooh ok! I’ll do another one either before bed or when I pee in the night to see what it says. Just out of curiosity more than anything as I’m relieved my cycle has gone back to normal after covid and mc in December @arianasky I’ll be joining you in the TWW soon

ladybuggoldfinch · 25/01/2022 20:07

@Curlywurly3 same thing happened to me last cycle. I think I missed my peak. I've used them before and got a static straight away with the first stick

arianasky · 25/01/2022 20:38

I'm glad it's gone back to normal @Curlywurly3 💕

Purple29 · 25/01/2022 21:23

@ShinyEyes33 yes it can. Its not the EWCM that keeps it alive.

@Curlywurly3 I never tested when using this method. The dr said not to. He said to just trust that I was ov on day 14 because I was like clockwork regular. So only thing I can think is to add in a BD on day 16 too?!

Purpleflowers17 · 25/01/2022 21:41

Evening Ladies. Need some advice please 🙏🏻 Have just been taking some time waiting for O day which is usually around CD 14-16 every month. However today I have got a high reading on my easy at home OPKs 0.85! It’s caught me a bit by surprise I am only CD9?

Has anyone had this before? Will it continue to trend upwards just concerned at missing Peak as OH is away until Thursday night.

MummyMe87 · 25/01/2022 21:41

CD12 here, my OPK went from fairly light yesterday to I think positive this evening. Will see what it’s like tomorrow, I tend to ovulate CD13 so about right really.

arianasky · 25/01/2022 21:50

So the twice I've got pregnant I DTD on the day I got my static smiley and that was that assumed I ovulated the next day, I only ever used the clearblue digital no OPK's so trying to be optimistic that it's right this time aswell 🤞🏻🙏🏻🌈 DP is back Tomorrow evening now as Thursdays meetings have been cancelled so I'll try and fit a BD in then so that would make every other day from Thursday last week 🤞🏻🤞🏻I think the more it goes on the more I learn and the more it plays with my mind aargh literally overthink everything 🙄

Mariabombia · 25/01/2022 22:23

5 DPO here 💃 !! How we all doing ?

AmberRH1993 · 25/01/2022 23:59

Hi ladies, just catching up after a busy start to the week. I've got everything crossed for the BFPs to keep flowing in - get those socks on girls 😂
The excitement of the TWW and symptom spotting must have even dampened my symptoms because since I got my BFP I'm exhausted all the time and grab a nap any chance I get right now. Slightly nervous about AF due date on Friday but I know once it passes it will all feel more real for me... Line progression pic attached 🙏🏼

The month of valentines, pancakes and lot’s of BFP’s! 🤞🏻❤️
DancinOnTheCeiling · 26/01/2022 05:04

Congratulations @AmberRH1993 🥳🥳, wishing you and happy and healthy pregnancy. Great lines!!

I think there’s one or two other BFPs too?congratulations to those too. I need to catch up on the thread properly, just glanced over it - I’ve got the most horrendous toothache I’ve ever had, I can’t sleep and can’t concentrate at all, just wanted to post briefly to check in and say thanks to two PP who’ve kindly commented on my various issues re lost orgasm and BV/thrush 🙈. I’ll read it all properly again when my head is not exploding. Have had emergency dentist yesterday who gave me antibiotics and said I need root canal. So far antibiotics not working yet and am soo sore 😩. At least the pain is taking my mind off symptom spotting.

Good luck everyone with BD, TWW, lime progression etc xx

mightbeyesmightbeno · 26/01/2022 07:46

@AmberRH1993 great t line progression!

@Purpleflowers17 I don't use those OPKs sorry, so I'm not sure on the readings / numbers. But I'd say if it's high, then DTD as soon as you can and if your DH is away until Thursday then just do it when he's back - you can't do anything about him being away :(

Hopefully it will just keep getting higher for you 🤞

MummyMe87 · 26/01/2022 08:05

We’ve only DTD twice so far and I think I’ll ovulate today. Woke up feeling twingey in my pelvis and lower back ache

kizzy97 · 26/01/2022 08:22

Low OPK yesterday which I was expecting anyway, CD8 today so expecting another low reading today. This period of ttc really drags as well! Waiting for O and then the tww, I wish you just knew straight away! 😂

Curlywurly3 · 26/01/2022 08:35

Congratulations @AmberRH1993, that’s a fab line progression!

@DancinOnTheCeiling gosh, that sounds horrendous!! A dark room and a cosy bed might make you feel better?!

CD13 today, Ov predicted today or tomorrow so will DTD tonight as the last time we did it was yesterday morning and I thought Ov was going to be today. I find this part of the cycle the most frustrating.. knowing when the right time to DTD is. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but can’t wait for the TWW when I’ve done all I can do and there’s nothing to do but wait 🙈

OP posts:
MrsSamRowley · 26/01/2022 09:05

@Curlywurly3 I think I'm the same as you - as torturous as the TWW is - as long as you've done everything you can you can feel positive and hopeful. I'm looking ahead to February now, CD2 for me. We're meant to be staying with my parents next weekend but that'll be bang in the middle of my fertile period so not sure whether to postpone it or just DTD the day before we go and the day we get back and try to relax about it. It's impossible when you really want a baby though as you don't want to miss any opportunities - even if it's only one night!

Natalie2304 · 26/01/2022 09:21

@Curlywurly3 @MrsSamRowley I definitely stress more around ovulation. The TWW is what it is. You've done all you can do and you're just waiting. Fertile week DTD is all I can think about and not in the exciting way! 😂🙈

arianasky · 26/01/2022 09:31

@Curlywurly3 @Natalie2304 I'm exactly the same the TWW you can't change the outcome but ovulation is all so confusing and stressful

MummyMe87 · 26/01/2022 09:36

Yes I get stressy around ovulation. We D2D Sunday night CD10, Tuesday morning CD12, think I’m ovulating today, possibly this morning as feeling super achey and twinges galore, hopefully get another BD in tonight. I’m currently stressed that I’ll ovulate from my right ovary which has no tube which will reduce chance of catching significantly 😔

Purple29 · 26/01/2022 10:59

I read that the tubes aren't actually attached to the ovary and so if left with one that it can move? So I'm hoping that is the case.

I used to think that it was stressful around ovulation as well. Even more so when I was peeing on sticks. That's why the dr told me to stop and just trust my body. With my cycle being regular to follow his days and it was so refreshing not to be tracking like that... I instantly felt more relaxed and while it was still scheduled BD you can spice it up cause your not worried about the right time.

Brunette1989 · 26/01/2022 11:16

Morning ladies,
Had the call with the doctors this morning. He said my progesterone levels were what they would expect at the time in the cycle I completed the tests so no issues there. It also checked kidney function etc and all fine.
He said this is part of the 1st stage but can't continue to stage 2 without my OH having a sample check. Just feeling shit as I know he really doesnt want to do it so feel like I'm going to have a battle on my hands and its going to delay me moving to stage 2 massively.
He said stage 2 would be swab test for infection and then an ultrasound. Didn't mention what stage 3 entails..
Trying to stay positive but its very overwhelming and scary, also dreading the conversation with OH.
Just never thought it would be this difficult to become a mum 😢 xxx
