Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

The month of valentines, pancakes and lot’s of BFP’s! 🤞🏻❤️
Brunette1989 · 24/01/2022 09:52

@arianasky yay you finally got the smiley 😊
I'm 6 DPO and its killing me! Not feeling hopeful and got the dread of the next 2 months not being able to DTD much with stag/hen parties falling 'at the time'.
I go through phases of jealousy when I see people with babies when I can't even conceive my 1st. Then realise I'm being irrational and its not their fault. Oh the delight of TTC journey 😔 xx

arianasky · 24/01/2022 09:52

@Snowwhite2020 I had my booster last month after I Ovulated, this month my ovulation was 7 days later than expected but I also had a CP last month so could be other or both that affected it?

Snowwhite2020 · 24/01/2022 10:05

Thanks @arianasky sorry to hear about CP. fingers crossed for you this month xx

arianasky · 24/01/2022 10:16

Thank you @Brunette1989 I feel like I've already waited loads and I haven't even entered the TWW yet 😭 I totally get your feelings I always look at people with babies with a tinge of jealousy I feel awful for it as I am soo happy for everyone that have babies and get pregnant I just also want it so bad

Purple29 · 24/01/2022 10:36

@Brunette1989 and @arianasky it's OK and totally normal to feel jealous of seeing people with babies or pregnant. It doesn't mean your not happy for them, but you are allowed to have all the feelings in this horrible ttc journey.
When I was just over a year in ttc#1 my sister announced she was having number 2. She didn't really try for either of hers. I was so happy for her but I was so jealous and upset for me. I cried buckets that night! You just want it to be your turn and that's allowed.

Cookiedough123 · 24/01/2022 10:47

We had unprotected sex for the first time on Saturday, spent months doing the withdrawal method as we were waiting to move and for a few other things to be sorted. It was very weird but I have weirdly been buzzing all weekend with excitement. We are only on cycle 1 and I wasn't even in my fertile week it was CD9 and my fertile week starta tomorrow at CD12 with ovulation date being Sunday at CD15 (maybe). My partner seems to think that one time the other day has done it but I'm not getting into it all with him yet as he wants it to be relaxed even though I'm not. I also weirdly just want to talk to someone so I decided to just write about how giddy I am on here instead !

Natalie2304 · 24/01/2022 12:08

@Snowwhite2020 my ovulation was delayed by 2 days the month I had my booster but I also had covid 2 days after my booster so that may have contributed also. 🤞🏻 you get your peak soon.

@AmberRH1993 congratulations! Hopefully the first of many BFP's this month! 🥰

I'm on CD11 today, not using OPK's this month as I drive myself around the bend with them. Just DTD every other day for the next 2 weeks and hoping for the best 🤞🏻

Natalie2304 · 24/01/2022 12:46

@Natalie2304 I'm also feeling really optimistic this month and as much as that's a good think I'm then scared of getting a BFN! 😩

Bundaberg84 · 24/01/2022 12:52

@AmberRH1993 congratulations!!!!

lottieb92 · 24/01/2022 14:08

Omg congratulations @AmberRH1993 so so exciting !!! Love the nails too! Perfect photos for memory books - how sad am I lol but I think to think of these things! 🤍 hope you’re feeling okay ✨

RosyappleA · 24/01/2022 14:37

Hi ladies, i swore I wouldn’t use OPKs this month but than an amazon order I had completely forgot about for clearblue advanced which I hadn’t tried before arrived. I got a flashing smiley today on CD 9 which is earlier than I anticipated. How many days do you find the flashing smiley lasts for you? Basically dtd last night really cannot today as I stayed up til 4am with toddler woke up early etc. I wanna skip today but wondering if it is even likely that a static will show up tomorrow? I doubt it right? I ovulate normally on day 13.

Congrats amber on BFP. Deffo think this doing it every other day deffo takes the pressure off.

@DancinOnTheCeiling i recommend you tell GP over the phone so they leave a sample for you behind the reception, to swab to see if it is thrush or BV as they never seem to follow the textbook symptoms in reality for many. My thrush after having my daughter for which i had antibiotics after for haematoma, lasted more than two years on and off really didn't clear with anything and i tell you i tried absolutely everything prescription and home remedies. What has really helped is preseed as it doesnt upset anything unlike conceive plus which I believe even caused my thrush. The preseed allowed less friction with sex which i think also became a cause of my thrush as i became so sensitive to any disturbance down there. Even water became a problem. I finally read on mumsnet about Multi-gyn flora plus which worked for me, thanks to ladies on here. It stings like crazy so ppl give up on it but then by day 5 you adjust and i feel that burning is what seems to get rid of it and shift things back to normal in terms of the vaginal flora. My thrush was never smelly and never the thick curdy white discharge people describe. Just like you i had a bit of blood at times from the soreness as the skin was so thin and delicate from it and it was a prickly sore itchiness but more discomfort than anything in particular with discharge. I thought it was BV at times and tried all Bv treatments too. I am finally thrush free with these two items preseed and the multi-gyn floraplus. Good luck.

AmberRH1993 · 24/01/2022 14:40

Thank you ladies 🥰 definitely doing BD every other day was less pressure on our bodies and relationship! I also used a hot water bottle every evening from LH peak to bfp and also kept my feet super warm - wonder if that helped 😊

mightbeyesmightbeno · 24/01/2022 14:50

@AmberRH1993 ooooo what's the theory behind the hot water bottle?!

@RosyappleA last month the I had flashing for 4 days before O so hopefully it won't come as quick as tomorrow for you ...but impossible to tell!

I've just been and had an ultrasound - external and internal. They said to call docs on Friday for results just to see if ovaries / womb look like they should. 🤞 all good and hopefully this month is our month.

Tinkerbell098 · 24/01/2022 15:01

@mightbeyesmightbeno ooo I just came on here to ask if anyone's had any experience with ultrasound scans. I've just had a letter through to say they've finally booked an appointment for Friday next week. They want my bladder full, so assuming it's an external one. Did they give you the option for external/internal? I've heard that internal is much better as you can see more detail, so I hope they will do both on me too. How was the general experience? Did they not tell you what it looked like then and there? I think I'd want to know straighaway rather than having to wait for a call from GP.

Natalie2304 · 24/01/2022 15:14

@AmberRH1993 I've scrapped that OPK's and just DTD every other day. Hope we have the same success! 🤞🏻
Also just googled the warm feet and immediately went and put big fluffy socks on with my slippers and will be sleeping with a hot water bottle from now on 😂

Purple29 · 24/01/2022 15:27

@Tinkerbell098 when I went in they asked me to have a full bladder, they did an external scan first and couldn't get the view they wanted so I went to empty my bladder and they went to internal. It's easier to do it that way round. So think that's why they ask you to come with a full bladder.

mightbeyesmightbeno · 24/01/2022 15:29

@Tinkerbell098 , when I checked in at the desk, the receptionist made me read a written statement on the wall that said not to ask the sonographer and to speak to the doctor that ordered the USS a week later. Therefore I didn't even start to ask (work in medical profession and know how awkward it can be sometimes and didn't want to ask when I'd been specifically told not to). However, your clinic may be different, so if they don't tell you not to ask then I would!

External was fairly quick. Then she told me to go for a wee and come back for internal. No question of whether she should or shouldn't ... just automatically did it. And she spent longer doing internal so I'm glad she did. She said the internal shows the lining of the womb and the oversized in details / the tubes / the follicles where eggs are released etc. So I got the impression that the internal was much better for getting good detail.

I wouldn't say it was painful, it wasn't a nice experience, but it wasn't awful. Just something that needed to be done. Uncomfortable, but didn't last more than about 5 mins internal.

Best of luck!

newjourney21 · 24/01/2022 15:44

Hi all and congrats on BFPs 😊
8DPO for me here and can't say I've felt anything different to last month (headaches and dull cramping) so will have to see what the next week brings. I don't plan on testing until day before AF due which will be Sunday (13dpo). Dtd 2 days before O and one day after so not sure I caught it in time. If it doesn't happen this month then my next O day falls on Valentine's weekend so that will be nice. Baby dust to all still to test this month and hope everyone is well :)

newjourney21 · 24/01/2022 15:45

Meant to say don't plan on testing til Saturday!

Tinkerbell098 · 24/01/2022 15:49

@Purple29 thanks, hoping it'll be the case for me too.
@mightbeyesmightbeno thanks for sharing your experience, that was super helpful. Yes, it makes sense regarding not asking if you were told not to. Good luck with the results on Friday! keep us updated x

jazmine38 · 24/01/2022 18:44

First of all congratulations @AmberRH1993 ❤️ such a good line and my OH is a bit like yours needs to see it written down😅 can never spot the line🙄

So I think I jumped on this thread too early...I did not see this coming after 2 negative tests last week..blood hcg is 71. Dr took more blood today to check it increases the right amount. I'm past myself and I feel so sick too god knows if that's pregnancy or nerves.

MummyMe87 · 24/01/2022 19:49

That’s wonderful news @jazmine38 fingers crossed for an increase in HCG

jazmine38 · 24/01/2022 20:06

Thank you @MummyMe87 xx and yep 🤞

So I've heard that warm feet = warm uterus which is best for implantation. So as well as keeping my feet warm and used the hot water bottle to keep my belly and womb toasty hoping the egg would decide its a cosy place to live 😂
