I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

Do you mind if I join? Over year into ttc now, but this is only cycle 5, as my periods are so irregular! Currently having investigations, however AF has just arrived so Hoping this cycle will be a shorter one and ovulation will occur in February 🤞! Here’s to hoping! Goodluck everyone!

CD10 today, hopefully OPKs will start getting stronger now as Ov is usually CD12/13

Hi ladies, have been following but would like to join in properly. CD20 and finally got a peak reading (static smiley) on the OPKs. Had pretty much given up on this month so took the last three days off. Hopefully today and tomorrow will be enough!

Still no ovulation for me 🙄 another blank circle and OPK's lighter than yesterday 😔 I don't think it's going to happen? Is there a chance I could've missed my peak like it happened between two mornings? Would I have got a blank circle clearblue that way though? Arrgghh all so confusing and long haha?

@arianasky my bets would be that you’ve already ovulated and the sticks didn’t catch it….this has def happened to me! I only take them once a day so it’s quite easy to miss the LH surge. I would look for other signs eg boobs becoming more tender/creamier mucus which would indicate you’ve already ovulated.

@Bringonbaby3 maybe then? On Thursday I had EWCM plus my boobs were really sensitive so that's a possibility maybe?

Can I ask a question that isn’t really TTC related, it’s more a thrush/bacterial vaginosis question. Sorry TMI, I’ve been having this feeling of discomfort - a sort of itchy feeling, and when wiping after a wee there was the tiniest tiniest bit of blood. I don’t think for a minute this is implantation bleeding, I’m 100% sure the blood isn’t from ‘internal’ but more like a cut or tear or something (but must be a tiny tiny one as there was only the tiniest bit of red blood). I’ve had thrush in the past and don’t think this is thrush. I’ve also had BV but that was years ago, so I cannot remember the symptoms. Any experience/ideas? With BV I read there’s supposed to be bad odour but I don’t really notice any odour. The feeling isn’t massively itchy but I definitely notice it. Am thinking try some BV treatment first, if that doesn’t work try thrush cream plus pessary, if that doesn’t work call GP?

@DancinOnTheCeiling I had this after my MC in September. It took ages to go. I tried thrush cream but in the end the dr advised using vagasil wash and to be fair that has worked a treat. Never had it before that

Sorry if a TMI question but do you guys always aim to orgasm during sex when TTC? Do you think it makes a difference? I probably only orgasm about 1 in 4 times…. Just had a quickie but no orgasm and worried I wasted those sperm? Stupid I know, I’m only d9 so not even in fertile period yet!

@Bringonbaby3 is there such a thing as TMI on here?! Lol.... not going to lie I orgasm about 1 in 3 times and I won't lie I heard it can effect conception, certainly that it's better if you do.
Both times we fell pregnant I made sure DH made sure I did even if it was before we dtd or he got me close enough we knew I would.

@Bringonbaby3 I second what @Purple29 said, I’ve read too that it can affect conception as a female orgasm can help the swimmers move up or something like that (because of the ‘contraction’ when you orgasm). I used to nearly always orgasm when DTD in the past but totally lost it post birth of our dd 🙈. I don’t know why! We try and help me orgasm after DTD or I do it myself but this definitely doesn’t always happen, too much pressure!! You can only do your best. On that note, and since we’re talking about TMI topics: does anyone have any idea why I might have lost the ability to orgasm during DTD since my dd’s birth?

Girlssss you need to get your partners to do more!! If not whack the sex toys out during the deed! I orgasm every. Single. Time. I can't orgasm vaginally but always use vibrators, or he gets me off first. Deffo recommend a magic wand 😆

@DancinOnTheCeiling not sure why you've lost the ability sorry. Do you orgasm via penetration? If so things probably shifted during the birth (if it was natural). Things shifted right into place for me after having DS! Sex feels so much better than it did, it always hurt or basically didn't feel nice

Haven't caught up on the thread yet, there's a lot,to read, we've decided to book a private fertility clinic. Purely based on our age! I'm forty, he's not far behind me and I think we would just rather know if that makes sense 😔 we are going into month 4 of ttc. CD4 my periods are getting more painful and unpleasant.

OH wouldn't believe my frer until he saw a clearblue digital - clear as day it said PREGNANT. Cheapy strip still barely visible but it just goes to show the difference between tests.
It still doesn't feel real I suppose after AF due day on Friday, I will be able to relax a little more.

Congrats @AmberRH1993! Can I join? We are ttc baby 2 and only on cycle 1. I did have my covid booster this cycle and I’m confused about what’s happening with ovulation- it seems to be late- I remember someone saying something about delayed o with covid jabs is that a thing? Anyone have more info/ experience? Xx

@Snowwhite2020 hey, welcome! Yes covid vaccine as with any vaccine or virus can cause a delay in ovulation, for some people a few days (like myself) and others much longer. Mine only lasted 2 cycles with first vaccine and 1 cycle with booster vaccine. Then I got covid again a couple of months later which delayed it also. Joy.
Fingers crossed it comes along soon for you.

Gah this cycle is dragging now. CD11, hoping to see OPKs get a bit darker today/tomorrow as I should be in FW, expect ovulation maybe Thursday
